Strictly speaking, this Future Buddha True Scripture has not the slightest flaw. It is an exceptionally supre true skill, perhaps the strongest true skill he has ever witnessed.
This is a practice focused on dual cultivation of the body and spirit, much like the path taken by modern martial artists, elevating their physique and intellect to the utmost, and, in the unseen realms, borrowing power from their future selves.
The description is truly mystifying. Lu Ren thought he had misread it. The grandiose language was, in essence, filled with much empty talk. After being systematically identified, it was thoroughly simplified and translated into plain language.
Otherwise, if you were to comprehend the aning of every word in this scripture line by line, you would need at least ten years of extensive study of Buddhist scriptures, coupled with a considerable level of understanding, just to grasp so of the expressions in this Future Buddha True Scripture.
Often, a few characters can allude to an entire passage of past Buddhist stories.
If one does not know the life experiences of Shakyamuni, it would be like reading amidst clouds and fog.
Moreover, Shakyamuni, being incredibly narcissistic, even had his disciples record so of his life incidents, incorporating them into the creation of the Buddhist scriptures.
Lu Ren understood!
Through this Future Buddha True Scripture, one can discern what kind of personality Shakyamuni had.
Narcissistic, exceedingly narcissistic, you could even say he had reached a state where he saw nothing as worthy.
No wonder when Ksitigarbha ntioned "above heaven and below earth, I alone am revered", his expression was rather peculiar, seemingly frustrated with the world’s distorted understanding but refraining from explanation due to his status.
It genuinely ant "I alone am revered", not "above heaven and below earth". It referred to all living creatures.
It made burst out laughing.
Strictly speaking, this true skill is a deep self-hypnosis cultivation system.
Only by having an unwavering belief at the deepest level of the subconscious can one gradually achieve unimaginable mystical techniques.
In fact, even a sliver of doubt in the mind would prevent the Future Buddha True Scripture from being successfully cultivated and might even result in ntal instability.
This practice aims to shape a future self to borrow power from, thereby gaining unimaginable extraordinary power.
It seems far from normal human behavior.
One wonders if this faith-based, randomly-spawned true skill was invented by a deranged Shakyamuni.
But Lu Ren also understood a fact: every era has its limitations, and the simplistic ancient society and the information-exploding modern society are entirely different environnts.
In ancient tis, without being bombarded daily with information like in the current modern society, thoughts were more chaotic and disorganized.
With such a level of true skill passed down, whatever was stated was believed.
Unlike modern people who, upon hearing a couple of sentences, would maintain skepticism and even argue using their scant knowledge.
Thus, during peaceti, there was once a rumor circulating online.
"In modern society, why still engage in fighting and killing? It serves no purpose. Why not learn to argue? Just a few words can infuriate people through a screen, isn’t it just another way to extend your hand through the screen to slap soone via the internet?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Ren had been quite tempted and went into a ga, engaging in a typing war for several days. In the end, he was so angry that he resorted to voice chat, cursing from morning till night, causing a neighbor to call the police, claiming he was anti-humanity, antisocial, and threatening to kill everyone.
It was terrifying...
Forget it, let’s not talk about past glorious deeds for now, Lu Ren carefully studied this scripture.
It was significantly related to the Real Buddha’s True Scripture given to him by Subodhi.
Lu Ren pondered for a mont, confirming that the Old Monk Long Jia wouldn’t charge at the Buddha statue this ti before finding a place to sit cross-legged.
He let his thoughts sink, re-entering the Inner Realm.
As usual, he glanced at the goddess-like Chang Xin, though pleasing to the eye, yet recalling her aged appearance, full of wrinkles and exuding a decaying stench, he imdiately extinguished any thoughts.
Confirming she was still glaring angrily at him, Lu Ren paid her no more attention, moving directly past her towards Subodhi.
As for the Red Dragon Ao Li, it still coiled in a corner, making it a restricted area, unmoving with closed eyes. If not for the life fluctuations naturally emitted by its primordial spirit state within the Inner Realm,
Lu Ren would have thought it was dead.
When Lu Ren approached, Subodhi, sitting cross-legged, also rose and slightly bowed to Lu Ren.
Lu Ren walked slowly to the side, carefully observing Subodhi, who appeared submissively docile, giving off a humble and compliant deanor.
But from the corner of his eyes, it was apparent that this figure, in his youth, must have been incredibly domineering.
Image-wise, he could easily be compared to Fa Hai.
"I’m curious about what image Shakyamuni holds in your view?"
Upon hearing Lu Ren’s query, Subodhi wasn’t surprised in the least. Seeing Lu Ren possessing the Future Buddha True Scripture, he undoubtedly discerned so clues.
Subodhi took a mont to organize his words, before saying, "He was quite a... hmm, proud individual."
Still proud, I think he was narcissistic, full of himself!
Lu Ren muttered inwardly without showing a trace outwardly.
Subodhi continued, "When the twelve of us disciples traveled the world with him, he would tell us to record his every move. Moreover, after doing so seemingly aningless things, he would insist on providing a detailed description, explaining the significance of that action or gesture."
By this point, Subodhi’s expression also turned rather peculiar.
"You must know, although we twelve disciples were all part of the Buddhist sect, each of us walked a different path, so even our understanding of the concept of Buddha varied greatly. Not to ntion each person’s perspective was different, leading to many diverse interpretations in the scriptures passed down.
After separating into Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism, so scriptures even diverged vastly, heading in completely opposite directions, though they all praised Shakyamuni, narrating events and motions.
But each perspective differed, so so brothers with conflicting ideas branched out, each founding their own Buddhist sub-sect."
So that’s it!
Lu Ren was enlightened. Shakyamuni did it all intentionally!
"What was Shakyamuni’s reaction back then?"
Hearing Lu Ren’s inquiry, Subodhi’s face showed an odd expression.
"He was stirring things up everywhere."
"Stirring things up?"
Lu Ren was montarily stunned, unable to comprehend.
