Perhaps with Lin Hui leaving this ti, there will be no more news.
After a pause, he turned his head seriously asking Lin Hui, "Do we need to have a dual cultivation session to commorate our friendship? I have a feeling that your departure might not end well!"
"Go to hell!"
Watching Lin Hui’s angry back as she left, Linshu shook his head slightly with a sigh, but said nothing more. Lin Hui wasn’t like him; she had many descendants.
...
...
Dark, very dark!
It was complete darkness, the kind where you couldn’t see your fingers if you stretched out your hand. Even with Lu Ren’s now extraordinary vision, he couldn’t make out anything ahead. Other than the solid feeling of the stone ground beneath his feet, Lu Ren felt like a blind man. Apart from sensing himself, he had no reaction to the outside world.
He couldn’t receive any external information, as if everything was just void.
After standing quietly in place for a long ti, Lu Ren felt a slight stir in his heart. He pulled out his last four Wang Coins and saw one of them suddenly emitting a faint halo, which quickly spread over his body.
Soon after, Lu Ren felt his disconnected perception of the outside world reconnect, and everything outside beca normal again.
If you had to describe it, it was like Lu Ren’s distorted perception was restored at this mont, and the overwhelmingly dark aura of the outside world beca vividly alive.
The scene that was so dark you couldn’t see your fingers was swiftly scattered like fog, revealing the true appearance of Wang City.
Tucking the remaining three Wang Coins into his bosom, Lu Ren quietly and carefully watched the Wang Coin in his hand slowly burn. In his heart, he suddenly understood why the cultivators outside Wang City were so obsessed with Wang Coins. However, throughout his journey, Lu Ren had never heard anyone speak of the related facts. In fact, these things were like open secrets.
Everyone was tacitly following so strange rule, leading to the ergence of these things.
While carefully examining at this mont, Lu Ren finally determined that this one Wang Coin could burn for twenty-four hours, aning it allowed him to stay in Wang City for a day.
As for the surroundings, Lu Ren just glanced around a bit then stopped paying too much attention. This road paved with ancient stone bricks could accommodate four carriages side by side. On both sides were parapets, leaving a path for pedestrians.
And on either side were various buildings in different styles, whose design concepts left Lu Ren sowhat puzzled.
Among them, many ancient Huaxia Chinese-style buildings could be seen, which gave him a sense of realism.
As for the surrounding pedestrians, Lu Ren observed for a long ti without any clues. Each of them wore long black robes with hoods, completely hidden in shadows, making it impossible to see clearly.
It seed that he was the outlier here!
Just as he wanted to move and look around, a hoarse voice suddenly sounded beside him.
"Hey, newcor, co over to collect a black robe."
Hearing the voice, Lu Ren turned his head and looked towards the sound, only to see a thin, hunched figure in a black robe sitting at the city gate, simply by a table and chair on the roadside. A pair of eyes glowed coldly, green, under the hood, staring at him.
Lu Ren had no particular thoughts and went forward to collect a black robe, while inquiring, "May I ask, what use does this black robe have in Wang City?"
The black-robed figure impatiently stuffed the black robe into Lu Ren’s hand.
"It’s a rule of Wang City, figure out what this black robe is for."
He stretched out a shriveled hand, rubbing his fingers together: "The price is one Wang Coin, and I will tell you everything I know!"
Facing the greedy gaze, Lu Ren quietly took the black robe, looked it over, and confird the runes on it were rely to hide one’s aura and block so strange frequency. Only then did he put it on.
It seed these Wang Coins were indeed quite valuable.
"Thank you, but I might not need it. I plan to stay in Wang City for a while, and each Wang Coin is extrely precious to ."
Primarily, Lu Ren didn’t fully understand how Wang Coins and Wang City related, like a ga where you recharge VIP points. If you want to play, you need those points, or even if you log in, all you’ll encounter is a blurry state.
It would be good to understand the operational chanics inside. At the ti, many people enjoyed gaming the points, selling them, and although they were eventually banned from their accounts, so were even arrested for larger amounts. Yet, the phenonon persisted.
With these thoughts, Lu Ren felt sowhat odd. Was it really the nature of his countryn? Once they associate these things with gas, most minds either aren’t agriculture, or are thinking about how to exploit the system?
Squelching this strange notion, Lu Ren followed what the Warrior said. Following this road to the end, he would find what he sought.
Seemingly because Lu Ren didn’t want to spend a Wang Coin, the old figure sitting at the city gate, who seed like a gatekeeper, eyed him displeased.
Fixating on Lu Ren’s back until he gradually disappeared from sight, the figure finally retracted his gaze, grumbling quietly under his breath.
"Damn fellow, I know a lot of information. One Wang Coin is well worth the price. Wandering around Wang City without knowing anything, you’re surely signing your own death warrant... damn human race boy!"
Feeling the malice in the gaze from behind, Lu Ren shifted uncomfortably. If it weren’t for not knowing the rules of Wang City and his cautious attitude, outside this city, he would have easily snapped the guy’s neck and extinguished his Divine Soul.
Along the way, houses stood densely packed, with various shops opening around, selling things Lu Ren had never heard of. Yet what struck him as extrely eerie was.
The whole street was eerily quiet, as if caught in so strange silence. Even the shop owners on either side of the street remained silent, just standing behind their goods, coldly watching every passerby.
Combined with the way these people intentionally walked with light footsteps, striving not to make any sound, the world seed like a silent movie, making Lu Ren feel extrely weird.
After walking almost a hundred miles for about four hours, Lu Ren finally reached the end of the road, standing before a massive building.
The doorway of this building was made of a dod archway, reaching up to fifty ters high. Not to ntion how grand and magnificent this enormous structure was, the overall atmosphere emitted a sense of wildness and ancient style, a breath of enduring ti rolling towards him.
