Now reading: Chapter 1947: The Savior Who Has Already Failed from Steampunk: Sixth Era Epic, a Adventure novel by Salty Fish Pilot.

The Diviner finished speaking, took a deep breath, and wiped away the blood erging from the ears, nose, eyes, and mouth of the body.

Shard also took a deep breath and then realized that his own eyes were bleeding as well. As he listened to these descriptions, while pondering them, his spirit resonated with inspiration. The veil of the world shrouded in mystery seed to have shed a thin layer, allowing Shard to see the hidden yet wondrous truths more clearly.

This in itself was enough to prove that there were no lies in the previous conversation.

Thus, the secrets of the five-person group have all been revealed to Shard now... Death Angel, Mysterious Demon, Savior’s Origin, Reborn Lady. Even without the Outlander as the fifth person, the experiences of the group mbers were colorful enough.

He didn’t understand why four such important people would be drawn together as if by fate. But then he thought, perhaps it wasn’t fate that made the choice, but rather they together chose their destiny.

Shard’s left thumb nail dug sharply into his palm:

"Even if this is true, I think I would personally thwart this path. Even if the apocalypse is imminent, humanity and other life don’t need to survive by sacrificing their own independence... Wait, you just said this requires a long ti and several generations?"

He suddenly seized the crucial point, eyes widening:

"Do we really have that much ti?"

Even in the Bygone Era: Sixth Era that long-haired Luviya experienced, when the apocalypse arrived, Luviya only matured a little. Even if age was delayed due to Ring Mage Level and Arcane Technique, Luviya at that ti was definitely no older than forty.

And in the current Era, the speed of the appearance of The Chosen One is much faster than the last ti. During the ti of long-haired Luviya, The Chosen appeared roughly on an annual basis, and now, not even a year has passed, "Present World: Sixth Era" has already reached the sixth The Chosen One story.

If the apocalypse occurs right after the end of the "Whispering Verses," then not speaking of several generations, their generation will directly face the apocalypse. This ans the phenonon between Lecia and Dorothy doesn’t have the chance to spread to all intelligent life.

The Diviner clapped gently:

"Though your reason is obscured by useless love, at least your vision isn’t entirely clouded by love.

Yes, there is not enough ti. But this shouldn’t be, since the world made a choice, why would it be insufficient in ti? Our supposed world doesn’t have an independent ’world consciousness’; what we refer to as destiny’s choice is rely an accumulation of countless coincidences into an inevitability. Given this, why would such a ludicrous error happen, why would the ti be insufficient?"

His eyes widened slightly, as if expecting Shard to speak the answer.

Shard looked at him, feeling as though he hadn’t blinked for a long ti, the other’s eyes were calm yet with a hint of hysterical madness, the other indeed knows too much:

"Because, soone wasted ti, soone... made a mistake?"

Laplace Klein Howard showed a smile:

"Yes, you indeed understand. I thought of this point, thought of ti being insufficient, and realized sothing else: perhaps it’s not insufficient, but now the ’ti’ of the Sixth Era is abnormal."

Shard only felt his scalp tingle, he couldn’t imagine soone deducing the truth about ti from this point. Shard himself knew this thanks to a hint given by a deity from the Fifth Era, and the man in front of him is indeed a true genius of divination.

"My grandson with accidentally acquired Space-Ti Talent, Envy Edwards, was entrusted by to travel back to past tis to investigate so truths. But those events have already been annihilated, no matter what they remain unseen... said too much."

He shook his head apologetically:

"Back to our topic. Lecia Cavendish and Dorothy Louisa may have been the Savior chosen by the world at so ti, but now they are not, because there isn’t enough ti. Therefore, one less thod exists to save the world, defeat the apocalypse, without them doing anything, they are already failed Saviors. Maybe they can wait so more, but I don’t think the world will give us enough ti. And my choice is—to create a space outside the Material World, to lead those willing to believe in to survive, thereby continuing civilization—has beco all the more necessary."

The Diviner clenched his right fist to his chest:

"This is my contribution to the world as soone born into this world. Even if I fail, I verified another possibility wouldn’t succeed."

"Was this idea when you betrayed the Prophet’s Society years ago, or a thought after settling here? Is it related to the [Door in the Bottle]?"

Shard asked again, the Diviner slightly shook his head:

"I would love to discuss this with you, but ti is running out, the banquet is about to start, I must prepare. However, I can give you a hint, Dorothy Louisa and Lecia Cavendish, though no longer important to this world, their issues will continue to develop. My research, so conclusions that aren’t important to , found thods to solve their problems."

He paused to look at Shard, the corners of Shard’s mouth twitched slightly, he took another deep breath:

"Alright. What must I do for you to tell that thod?"

"Don’t do anything unnecessary, please attend my banquet on ti. After tonight’s events conclude, we can discuss in detail. God Summoner, there is no essential conflict between us, we just wish to help this world, help those who could have survived. So co see what I am going to do tonight, even if you wish to stop , please do so in a fair and upright manner."

He slightly nodded to Shard, turned and led the two unable-to-control-themselves Furen Brothers towards the side door of the estate banquet hall.

"Wait!"

Shard called out to him:

"Besides , there is another Ring Mage qualified to attend your banquet on the island. Iluna Beath, Chosen of Balance, where is she now?"

The Diviner laughed:

"Look at you, God Summoner, you were just talking to about the Princess and the writer, and now you’re asking about a third lady. Adding in my two descendants, isn’t your desire a bit too greedy? You seek so much, so what will Fate demand from you in return? Think carefully, maybe your fate won’t be as favorable as you imagine."

However, he still inford Shard of the answer he wanted:

"The Chosen of Balance has appeared in the southern part of the island, she is doing sothing similar to yours. That lady is dangerous to ; she is a Chosen One, and the Chosen One Talent has unreasonable influence. Thus, I haven’t invited her this ti... Rest assured, I have neither the reason nor the courage to harm this First Chosen One. Although she encountered so trouble, she is very safe."

Mist erged from an unknown corner, enveloping the three of them:

"We’ll et later."

"Wait a mont!"

Shard called out to him, the Diviner asked doubtfully:

"What is it? Perhaps you can say everything at once."

"I wanted to point out that you just said I’ve been blinded by useless love, but love isn’t useless. Every human emotion is useful, and loyal love can burst out with power, just like other delicate emotions. Although the emotions of this world haven’t ford sothing like an ’emotional spectrum,’ emotions are far from useless. I hope you can understand this."

The Diviner cast a peculiar glance at him as if watching so madman. When Shard felt offended by this glance, only then did the other disappear in the banquet hall with the Furen Brothers.

The roots and vines carpet on the ground began to squirm, and as the carpet contracted towards the center, yet another blood-red tree appeared in the banquet hall of this nonexistent manor.

Nevertheless, Shard didn’t pay much attention to it:

"So, Iluna is also clearing the ’nodes’ of these roots? If the analysis earlier is correct, she should be able to gradually adapt to this island through such actions, or even influence Edwards’ Ascension Technique ritual."

Only Shard had the help of a whole hotel of Female Sorcerers, with Green Lake Hotel as a base. He’s very worried that Iluna, with no support, this girl who would have her birthday in just a few hours, should be in a bad situation.

"But I still don’t have ti to go and et up with Iluna first."

He worriedly thought, reaching out to touch the tree again. Whether it was a drop of his blood absorbed by the roots, or if this was purely a psychological illusion, he felt his connection with this tree, the underground giant roots, or even the unknown giant tree body stronger again.

"She" gently said:

"Outlander, you have felt Miracle, Desecration, Enlightennt, and Whisper."

"Outlander, you’ve touched ’Edwards’ Ascension Technique,’ you’ve extracted the power symbolizing ’Family Affection.’

"The island offers you more goodwill."

"Do you think what he said earlier is true?"

Shard whispered in his heart.

"Do you wish it true or false?"

"She" gently asked back, with Shard pressing his lips:

"Of course, I hope it’s false. They have no reason to bear such heavy responsibility, nor will I let their souls fuse into one to verify any damned possibilities... Even if that is the exit for civilization chosen by the world."

"She" did not comnt on Shard’s words but lightly whispered in his ear:

"At least, in ’Bygone Era: Sixth Era’, you haven’t seen all souls beco one."

"Yes."

Shard nodded at this mont, regardless of whether the Diviner was correct, at least in those shattered Spaces-Ti, Lecia and Dorothy’s situation hadn’t beco the world’s general circumstance. It’s unknown if it was because of lack of ti or if the girls from the Bygone Era found a solution.

"However, I do need to find a permanent thod to stop their Soul Fusion... Laplace Howard said he has a way, but I can’t rely entirely on him. I’ll deal with this matter after the battle of Green Lake is over."

He sighed softly, took out the last talisman to prepare to return to Green Lake Hotel for final repair. Just suddenly saw the mist rushing, engulfing everything in this nonexistent manor.

Then, the scenes of the manor gradually disappeared in the fog, and those townspeople attending the manor were crawling on the street, whispering strange words.

The road leading to the Edwards Family’s old house on the hills was already unobstructed, the final mont was about to arrive.

The disappearance of the manor allowed Shard’s view to see further. There seed to be sothing glowing in the mist not far away. He walked towards it, reached out to touch the warm white light floating in the air. Subsequently, there was indeed a bottle of liquid in his hand again, the slightly warm liquid emitting white light recognizable by any Ring Mage:

"This ti it’s... No. 1 Holy Water? The Church is quite generous indeed."

Bending the talisman in his hand, Shard once again disappeared into the mist.
