The sound of crying was too tragic, even Iluna couldn’t help but glance at him, rembering that she was just a few hours away from her eighteenth birthday. Her parents had died long ago due to an attack from the Blood of rcury, and she hadn’t returned since leaving her hotown then.

Thinking about her past parents and relatives at this mont, she originally wouldn’t miss them too much, but after hearing that old man’s lant, she couldn’t help but feel her eyes redden:

"I’m turning eighteen too."

Feeling Shard holding her hand, although knowing she couldn’t yet relax, she still couldn’t help but ask:

"Is growing up really hard?"

"When you can’t find anyone older than you to complain to, that’s when life is at its hardest."

Shard said, and Iluna tried hard to control her tears, watching alongside Shard the Edwards Family before them, nineteen people excluding the Diviner and the three-generation Firstborn.

It had been over two hundred years since the Prophet’s Society’s traitor settled in Green Town, leading the Edwards Family to reproduce for six generations, finally reuniting here. The complex family stories and each person’s different life experiences ultimately guided everyone back here at this mont.

Their battle ended, but tonight’s battle was just beginning. When everyone stopped, the remnant held aloft by tree branches began to shake violently again.

The slowly growing trees suddenly shot upwards at least twenty ters, and for a mont, everyone perched on the remnant feared falling from the height in the next second before the giant tree completely ceased growing.

Late spring night’s wind howled past high above, and the increasingly clear three moons, together with the starry sky, illuminated these 21 people at the heights.

At this mont, the Edwards Family mbers and the two people involved with the Edwards’ Ascension Technique all felt a powerful force stirring within them.

Shard and Iluna’s feelings were not obvious yet, but even including the strongest gan and Audrey, the nineteen fifth-generation mbers of the Edwards Family simultaneously bore the black spiral symbol symbolizing the "Unifier" on their brows at this mont.

"Attention, the ritual is about to start!"

gan loudly reminded everyone, lifting her hand to catch what Shard threw, looking at her palm, unexpectedly her golden earrings. The witch was sowhat surprised, but first pressed the emblem symbolizing the Grand Witch onto her brow. After a brief prayer, the golden Holy Emblem representing the Ancient God "Chaos Witch" replaced the strange black symbol, appearing on her brow.

The blood-colored giant tree stopped growing, stabilizing the floor beneath everyone’s feet. The Edwards managed to suppress their surging power, while Shard and Iluna completely opened their perception, noticing that among the thick tree crown under the moon, there was the sound of liquid flowing through all the branches.

The branches shimred, drawing hundreds of years’ worth of spirit, elents, blood, flesh, and soul from the island below, finally converging at the top of the tree crown.

The hole just blasted by Shard and Iluna had vanished. Looking up directly above, the closer one reached the upper part of the tree crown, the stronger the blood-red eerie light beca. Not only the roots and tree trunk transmitted this blood light, but even the underground and surrounding waters turned into streams towards the top of the tree.

By the island’s shore, a lady’s boots stepped onto the sand. Miss Danester loudly called to the people behind her:

"The Edwards’ Ascension Technique is about to activate, we need to speed up!"

Miss Benanis recognized the sword marks Shard left on the sand and quickly found Tifa’s scattered powder after donning glasses, quickly leading the group of witches into the forest.

At the Green Lake Hotel, Dorothy stood worriedly by the window, looking at the blood-colored giant tree seemingly linking heaven and earth in the distance, while Luviya sat calmly at the table. Lecia watched her perform divination, and as the purple-eyed Diviner flipped the "Red Butterfly" card, a stream of light ford by blood-red butterflies entered through the window into the hotel.

"It’s alright; they’re allies."

Tifa halted the cautious female sorcerers, as Grace and Helen erged among the dancing butterflies, already walking towards the standing Luviya.

They asked Luviya:

"Can you co with us?"

"Luviya, where are you going?"

Lecia asked in surprise, and Luviya explained softly:

"Since Shard might need my help next, I need to go to that tree with them."

"I also...."

Before finishing the sentence, she rembered her promise to Shard. Dorothy also ca over at this ti, tugging Lecia’s sleeve, then said to Luviya:

"Since Shard isn’t here now, do you think it’s necessary for us to go with you, as candidates?"

Luviya shook her head:

"Let everything be according to Shard, don’t let him down."

Grace, wearing a white dress, suddenly spoke:

"You stay here for now, but if you truly need..."

Helen opened her palm, and a red butterfly flew out:

"It will lead you to find us."

The blood mist drifted among the treetops under the moonlight, making the blood mist appear more eerie and enchanting.

Atop the highest branch of the canopy, due to the leaves’ obstructions, the people on the wreck and those on the island couldn’t see the tangible blood light condensing into a fist-sized blood-red fruit on the branch—

Boom~ Boom boom~ Boom boom boom~

The fruit absorbed the incessant blood light, gradually producing the sound of a heartbeat. With every thump, the heartbeat grew more urgent and louder. Iluna and Shard directly beneath the fruit remained unaffected, but gan and others clutched their chests.

Pugh~

Having just awakened from a coma, Mr. Soren Green spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, which swiftly transford into blood mist, floating toward the top of the treetops. Ms. Helena Green, an ordinary person like him, had blood seeping from her ears and nose. The Circle Sorcerers and Undead, despite their resistance, had spots of blood surfacing on their skin, foreshadowing the events to co.

The wind resonated with cries, countless voices from the island, exuberantly praising at this mont:

"World’s ultimate demise, despair seeks salvation,

Salvation in vain, the Unifier is sought.

Willing with fate, transcending the cage,

The future world, birth descending."

Boom~ Boom boom~ Boom boom boom~

Even at hundreds of ters in altitude, everyone could distinctly hear those praises. They looked up to see sothing amid the leaves and blood mist growing with each call. Shortly, they finally saw the massive blood-colored fruit, dangling at the canopy’s highest point, directly above them.

The fruit’s diater exceeded five ters, its exterior transparent, with fruit pulp inside resembling flowing water. Crucially, within the blood-colored pulp, a vaguely human-shaped object was enveloped.

Though there was no evidence, everyone knew the Prophet’s Society’s traitor hiding for two hundred years, the once gifted diviner, Laplace Klein Howard, had finally appeared.

"Sunlight Gun!"

Iluna imdiately attacked the fruit, but it didn’t even retaliate. The golden electrical light vanished like a natural phenonon, absorbed by a space fissure that opened beside the continuously expanding fruit.

"Once this thing is born, even if not the Chosen One, it will be considered an evil object surpassing the Thirteen Rings!"

gan warned everyone present, and apart from the subjugated diviner supporters and the ordinary Green siblings, the Circle Sorcerers and Undead began attacking the fruit together. But attacks from Shard and Iluna were swallowed or redirected by the space fissure, while others’ attacks were absorbed by the fruit, converting into pure spirit and elents.

"The Edwards cannot inflict any harm on it!"

Shard instinctively glanced at gan, finding gan looking back at him.

This ant, despite gan and Audrey’s strength, they won’t inflict even the slightest harm on the diviner in the upcoming battle.

"Iluna, we must prevent its birth! Hold on to , we move upward!"

He grabbed Iluna’s hand, attempting to approach the increasingly swelling fruit hundreds of ters above with "Lagre’s Leap."

But the yet unborn diviner didn’t grant him the chance. The Angel-Level Relic, , with a hard brown cover, front featuring the Ouroboros symbol of Ancient God: Mr. Ring, back with the scythe marking of Ancient God: Ancient Reaper, flew from the red fruit.

The book opened, pausing briefly, then horrifying tens of thousands of undead surged from the pages downward like a tide. This was the simplest attack, yet also the most direct assault.

"Careful!"

Tens, hundreds of Evil Spirits Shard could barely handle, but such a densely packed army of undead bolstered by an Angel-Level Relic was beyond ordinary Shard’s capacity to confront.

The Circle Sorcerers only managed to erect barriers, but the Evil Spirits falling like raindrops enveloped them in a soul tide.

Fortuitously, at the wreck’s edge, three figures abruptly flew up from below. Dr. Schneider, clutching Priest Augustus in one hand, Durut Giles in the other, as soon as he appeared, faced the terrifying roaring souls:

"What?"

Startled, he hadn’t complained about his poor luck before Priest Augustus waved to open a pitch-black fissure, a gap leading to "True Death," sending the marauding Evil Spirits to their rightful destination.

"Giles!"

"Laster!"

Carried by Dr. Schneider, Durut Giles plunged into the soul tide towards the frightened little girl, who, under the soul crowd’s pressure, used a spatial shift to position Durut Giles directly before her.
