Now reading: Chapter 729: Complex Magics from Stormwind Wizard God, a Game novel by AinzO0alGown.

This theory sounded like a paradox: How could an evil creature, evolved from one essence, be destroyed by another force that transford that very essence?

In truth, magic is indeed the origin, just as the sea is the cradle of life. However, after evolution, can we still claim that the various creatures they beco are fundantally the sa? The colossal polluted water elental utilized the water-related properties of the well water. It absorbed all the impurities it could from the well water, much like a magnet drawing in iron filings. Yet, its essence was already a water elental independent of the Sunwell, not the Sunwell water itself.

Initially, it absorbed the pollutants in the well water like rivers flowing into the sea. However, its limited intelligence prevented it from realizing that the power it absorbed accounted for only a small fraction of the remaining water in the Sunwell. And the ultimate control of this power did not lie with it.

After just a few dozen breaths, it was imnsely frustrated to find that the polluting elents it craved would not co to it on their own. Living things instinctively pursue survival, even a water elental creature. It began to deform its limbs to absorb pollutants from deeper and more abundant sources.

Unexpectedly, the next mont, another massive wave of pollutants arrived. This quantity was so imnse that it had to retract its limbs again, lest it be imdiately burst by the sheer volu of contaminants. It greedily and hungrily digested the new wave of pollutants, unaware that the supply of pollutants had ceased and that an incomparably vast amount of pure energy was rapidly being transford into the elent of fire.

The essence of the Sunwell’s water is liquefied arcane energy, functioning like a colossal arcane circuit and the foundation of various elental magics. It can indeed be converted into different types of elental magic; however, the Sunwell’s water is inherently biased towards the elent of fire. If the efficiency of converting well water into frost elent is 1, then the efficiency of converting well water into fire elent is 10. Otherwise, why would all the Sunstriders manipulate fire instead of water or frost? This is also based on local conditions!

The next mont, Duke activated a massive magic circle that had been set up in the ruins of Silvermoon City yesterday. This was a dium-sized magic circle, crafted from the remnants of the original grand circle. It was certainly incomparable to the super-giant magic circle originally established in Sunstrider Forest, but it was more than sufficient to deal with the water elental.

Seventy-two burning golden magic chains appeared out of thin air and effortlessly captured the water elental, which was imrsed in the pleasure of growing stronger. At this mont, the colossal water elental, now over two hundred ters tall, was forced to constantly compress its body within this net. It seed extrely cramped in the increasingly shrinking space and had to half-bend its body, transforming from a burly, half-fat figure into a massive water ball.

"Ahhh!!!"

A roar, resembling an animal’s but distinctly not, echoed throughout the ruins. The polluted water elental opened its two huge, dark green eyes and looked around, desperately trying to find the enemy who had hard it. The filthy water elental suddenly began to boil like an erupting volcano! Its terrifying strength alone was enough to stand at the pinnacle of the mortal world, and its magic power beca incredibly abundant after being enhanced. This astonishing montum was enough to cause any mortal below the heroic realm nearby to faint directly.

Unfortunately, its power, its violence, even its very existence, were rely parts of Duke’s grand plan.

"Explode!" Duke shouted softly.

A colossal pillar of light, no less powerful than the one he had used to detonate the Sunstrider Palace, suddenly appeared beneath the water elental’s feet, completely engulfing it in an instant.

"Guwaa——" After a burst of strange and ambiguous cries, there was an extrely dazzling light for a full ten seconds, followed by a thunderous roar that sounded like the collapse of the sky and earth, making every elf’s sensitive ears buzz.

Gravity seed to vanish from their visual field, and countless rocks of all sizes were blown into the sky by the imnse impact. So were as small as a fist, others as large as a carriage, and even larger were fragnts of the rose-colored wizard towers that had once stood in every corner of the city. The wreckage of the Mage Tower, which had collapsed into several sections, had remained relatively well-preserved even after the last explosion because its tower body had been hardened with high strength and engraved with nurous anti-magic runes. But now it was struck by a second explosion.

The previous explosion had only detonated one branch. This ti, the explosion occurred using the full magical power supplied by the Sunwell itself.

"Boom, boom, boom--" The colossal explosion could be heard clearly hundreds of kiloters away. The elves by the sea watched this scene in horror. Even though they had been notified that the ruins of Silvermoon City would be abandoned as the price of saving the Sunwell, they had never imagined that it would be so shocking and thrilling to witness Silvermoon City, which they had regarded as a symbol of glory for thousands of years, being blown into the sky.

The layman watches the excitent, while the expert discerns the details. At this mont, countless high-level mages had already realized that this explosion was rely a facade. Along the walls of Silvermoon City, massive beams of light shot up into the sky. The three-dinsional magic circle they ford restricted the direction of the explosion and shockwave—it could only develop upwards, not horizontally.

This had, in disguise, beco one of the most prominent features of the industrial age on Earth—the chimney. So-called chimneys are actually harmful to others and not beneficial to themselves. Pollutants seem to float up into the sky and then drift away, but in fact, after floating in the atmosphere, pollutants heavy enough will eventually fall back down.

Looking at the system AI’s prompt: "Based on the current data monitoring and previous collection of ocean air currents, it is determined that 99.8% of the pollutants will float away along the air currents around the Endless Sea. It is estimated that 60.3% of the pollutants will fall into the Endless Sea, and 38.2% of the pollutants will float along the stratosphere of the world of Azeroth, eventually landing in Azshara on the other side of the sea and the land to be nad Durotar, as well as several areas further west. The remaining pollutants cannot be calculated, and 0.2% of the pollutants will remain in the ruins of Silvermoon City."

Well, Azshara is the territory of those demons, satyrs, and the like—no problem. Durotar... if so Warchief still decides to establish Durotar there, then... that’s fine.

The sa thing again! It’s not Alliance territory, so it’s none of my business! Soone with a dark heart chuckled.

The elves had no way of knowing what Duke had done. They only knew that what they had long dread of and wanted to see had appeared before them again. That was clear well water. That was holy water with a golden glow. That was the glory the high elves had inherited for nearly seven thousand years.
