Now reading: Chapter 830: Duke’s Deceptions from Stormwind Wizard God, a Game novel by AinzO0alGown.

The information had been exchanged, a re basic transaction. Such ager data was certainly not enough to warrant Kil’jaeden’s treasures. So, Duke had sweetened the deal, adding dozens of extra "gossips." One particularly juicy tidbit: Tyrande, a pivotal leader of the Sisterhood of Elune, was entangled in a volatile love triangle with the Stormrage brothers. Malfurion Stormrage, the demigod Cenarius’s eldest disciple and a figure of imnse influence within the natural faction, currently held the advantage in this romantic contest. Illidan Stormrage, having seemingly lost, had joined the Moon Guard.

For demons whose very existence revolved around corrupting souls, Illidan, a spurned lover, appeared to be the perfect target. Only Duke truly understood the depths of Illidan’s obsessive devotion to Tyrande... At this point, Duke had subtly planted a seed, a hidden weapon capable of altering the entire course of the impending conflict.

The true highlight, naturally, ca at the end. Realizing the Twins were willing to drastically reduce their power, from standard lord-level to elite demon, just to infiltrate Azeroth swiftly, Duke enthusiastically unveiled his newest invention: a fel magic circuit system, ticulously engraved directly onto the skin. This ingenious thod of adding magic circuits, disguised as re "peripherals," made the Twins’ hearts pound with avarice. Moreover, this was a circuit system fueled by fel energy, a power they knew intimately. The Twins found themselves utterly unable to refuse.

But the Twins were cautious, ever so cautious.

"Let Sarolas undergo the fel energy engraving first. Both you and she possess shadow attributes, so the amplification will be greater," the high-level warlock Alyses, primarily a master of fire magic, declared, offering a perfectly legitimate reason to let her sister be the guinea pig.

"Is that so? As you wish." Duke, with an air of calm indifference, proceeded to engrave a complex set of magic circuit inscriptions onto Queen Sarolas’s smooth back.

The effect of Duke’s personal touch was so profound that even Oreses felt a pang of envy. Fel energy was a power the Eredar had perfected. While the Twins had indeed suppressed their own power to infiltrate, as warlocks, their true might lay not in their physical forms, but in their intricate fel energy magic circuits. Now, with Duke’s newly carved circuits on Sarolas, she could feel her power surge, rapidly escalating. This wasn’t a simple additive effect; it was exponential, at least quadrupling her strength! In a re three hours, Sarolas’s power soared to the level of Dog King Hakkar. Combined with her own dazzling and versatile shadow magic, this elevated her to the strength of a quasi-lord.

For a fleeting mont, Oreses almost demanded Duke carve a set for her as well. But from Duke’s blind spot, Sarolas shot her sister a sharp glance, quelling Oreses’s impulsive desire.

Only now, with the three pieces of high-level epic equipnt, glowing with a luxurious purple light, firmly in his possession, did Duke finally feel secure. These three top-tier cloth armor pieces—the Ring of Dark Spells, Gauntlets of the Defiler of Worlds, and Kil’jaeden’s Shattered Cloak—instantly boosted Duke’s strength by at least 30%, pushing him close to the power of a true high-level lord. Firstly, he dared not use the equipnt he had acquired in the Battle of Mount Hyjal. Secondly, though it was a priest’s outfit, the Holy Priest and Shadow Priest were fundantally different roles! A Holy Priest was a healer! A Shadow Priest was a devastating magical damage dealer. Hadn’t everyone seen how even the most steadfast defense warrior always carried a set of insane offensive gear in their backpack? Duke had made such monuntal contributions to the world; he was certainly entitled to two sets of equipnt!

The Eredar Twins departed, satisfied. Duke remained, a look of profound satisfaction on his face.

Ti, unheeded, bled into the third day since Duke’s return to Azeroth. Duke lay in a deep, peaceful slumber when, without warning, a sharp dagger pressed against his throat.

"Fallen one! Accept the judgnt of justice—" The voice was cold, utterly devoid of warmth.

Duke rely cracked an eyelid. "Damn it! I was up all night. Do you want to perish from exhaustion?" With that, Duke rolled over and resud his sleep.

"..." The attacker froze for three full seconds before letting out a sigh. "My beastly master, you are as shaless as ever. Now I believe you are not truly corrupted."

Indeed, the one who had bypassed countless demon guards, reaching Duke silently, and who had yet to trigger the system AI’s alarm, could only be one of his own! Vanessa, clad in a rogue’s dark attire, materialized from the air.

"Corrupted? I was nearly destroyed. But now I am..."

"Lord Wujiandao, the Grand Lord of the Burning Legion, correct? I knew it was you just from that tasteless na." Vanessa smiled, retracting the pair of deadly daggers that would send shivers down any mage’s spine.

"Nonsense! If you truly didn’t know it was , you’d best vacate the Edmund family estate." Duke poked his head out from beneath the quilt.

"That won’t do. The VanCleef family has sworn eternal loyalty to the Edmund family. Can you bear to let a weak woman like wander alone in the snowy wilderness and freeze to death?" The mischievous Vanessa began her act. Watching the single crocodile tear, clearly squeezed out with eye drops, Duke felt an overwhelming urge to smack this maid—designed specifically to infuriate her master—to death.

Damn it, a weak woman? You could almost dismantle a Gundam with your bare hands. Oh, no, you could dismantle a magic cha with your bare hands. Why are you still pretending to be a weak woman?! Pah!

Duke grumbled, "Alright, I’ve confird I’m fine. Anything else? If not, get out."

Vanessa spread her palms. "Give the information, and I’ll leave imdiately."

Duke rolled his eyes, but still tossed a small, tightly wrapped ball to Vanessa. "Before the critical mont, don’t seek out for anything, and certainly not for nothing."

"Clear!"

The next mont, Duke’s formidable maid, who had ascended to the realm of heroism, vanished into the morning light...

Gazing at the sky outside the window, which had finally cleared, Duke grew thoughtful. "All the actors on the old stage are assembled. May I ask the goddess of fate, what kind of surprise or shock will you bring this ti?"

Throughout history, individuals capable of clearly grasping the threads of destiny, transcending the mundane, and controlling the grand narrative have always been exceedingly rare. At this very mont, countless others still clung to their naive daydreams.

In the palace of Azshara City, Queen Azshara danced with unbridled joy. Her graceful figure captivated all her maids, leaving them staring in astonished admiration. "Haha! Vashj, am I not beautiful?"

Vashj, the Queen’s personal maid, her face alight with fervent devotion, replied, "In this world, no one can resist the charm of Your Majesty the Queen!"

"Really? That’s wonderful. Yes, that ’Infernal Affairs’ yesterday must have been feigning his composure. Because he knows his master, Sargeras, must be utterly captivated by , and if so, I will beco his mistress. Hehehe—"
