"Jhin, 23 years old, an unlucky guy who got fired. After losing his job, he unfortunately died suddenly while pulling an all-nighter watching ani."
A figure radiating a holy light held what looked like a death report, browsing its contents with great interest.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Was this guy's luck really this bad from birth until death? I wonder if running into counts as good fortune for him. It just so happens I ssed up that world-creation project a while back. I'll just toss him over there to solve the problem for ."
The figure nodded, thinking its idea was excellent. As long as this new employee could solve the problem, offering him so benefits wouldn't be out of the question. With a casual wave of its hand, Jhin's soul was sent off to clean up the ss.
One mont, Jhin was watching the ending credits of an ani; the next, his vision went black. His whole body felt like clothes being tossed around inside a washing machine, leaving him dizzy and seeing stars.
He barely managed to endure until the spinning stopped. Before he could even throw up, his vision went black again, and he collapsed to the ground. Before passing out, he vaguely heard what sounded like soone's voice nearby.
"Hey! Are you okay?" A red-haired girl poked the pained-looking, tight-eyed Jhin with her finger. Seeing no reaction, she grew a little flustered. "I'll go get help, don't you run off!"
If Jhin had been conscious, he would have definitely retorted, "I'm passed out, how could I possibly run?"
Not long after the red-haired girl left, Jhin, lying by the roadside, was spotted by another girl, this one with blonde hair, who was passing by.
"Oh, soone's passed out here." As an angel who had just co to Earth for training, she couldn't possibly ignore such a situation. After checking to make sure no one was around, the girl decided to use magic to heal the person who had collapsed on the ground.
Following the girl's devout chant, a sacred white light transford into motes of light that gradually entered Jhin's body. His pale complexion slowly turned rosy, but he still showed no signs of waking up, which put the girl in a difficult position.
Fortunately, her sharp eyes noticed a piece of paper sticking halfway out of Jhin's pocket. Written on it was an address, which coincidentally was the sa as her own residence. So, the girl brought Jhin back to the apartnt building.
When Jhin woke up, he found himself lying in an unfamiliar room filled with a girlish scent. Soone was humming softly in the kitchen. Apparently hearing him stir, the person in the kitchen stopped what they were doing and ca out.
"You're awake? Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"
"Thank you for your help, miss. I don't feel uncomfortable anywhere right now." Jhin was still a bit confused about his current situation and could only respond in kind.
"That's good. I saw that you're also a resident of this apartnt building, so I brought you back. Ah, my na is Tenma Gabriel White. You can just call Gabriel." Gabriel's expression relaxed upon hearing Jhin's reply, and she introduced herself with a gentle smile.
Gabriel!? That fallen angel, Gabriel?!
Jhin almost couldn't stop himself from shouting out loud. No wonder he had a strange sense of déjà vu—it was Gabriel in her top-student state, before she had fallen!
"My na is Jhin. I just moved in today." Stifling his excitent and trying hard not to look suspicious, Jhin said to Gabriel, "I still have so things to take care of with my move, so I'll take my leave for now. I'll co by to properly thank you for your help, Miss Gabriel, after I'm done."
"Oh, you don't have to be so formal. It's my duty to help people in need." Gabriel waved her hand, a little embarrassed, exuding an aura of gentleness and kindness.
Thinking of the lazy, idle slob she would later beco, Jhin could only commit this scene to mory as a precious mont.
After leaving Gabriel's apartnt, Jhin turned right and saw the room next door, which had a naplate with his na on it.
"I'm right next door to her?"
Fishing the room key out of his pocket, Jhin opened the door and went inside. The room was simply furnished with a bed, a computer, and a phone. If you added so ani posters and figures, it would be identical to his old room.
As Jhin stepped into the room, a ssage suddenly appeared in his mind, explaining why he was here and had t characters from an ani.
To put it simply, a god needed him to handle so troubles and problems in this world. Other than that, the god would not interfere with Jhin's life in any way. As compensation for working for the god, he was given a second life and a new employee benefits package.
"I'll just think of it as a job working for a god." Jhin had nothing to complain about. He'd been unlucky his whole life, and now he was working for a god and getting to et ani girls. He probably used up all his past life's luck just to be chosen.
As for the troubles and problems the god ntioned, he would only find out after he officially enrolled in school a month later. For now, he was free to do as he pleased.
Jhin rembered his new boss had also given him a new employee benefits package and imdiately started searching the room for it. Since the ssage didn't specify what the benefits were, he had to figure it out himself.
It didn't take long for Jhin to find a note on the computer desk with the five large characters for 'New Employee Benefits' written on it.
"Language Comprehension, 1,000,000 in start-up funds, Visual Personal System."
Aren't these new employee benefits a bit too extravagant? Jhin was secretly astonished after reading the contents. The benefits were so good it was almost scary. "It's not so world-ending problem I have to deal with, is it?"
Shaking his head to clear it of various speculations, Jhin cast his anxieties aside. The problem hadn't even begun to take shape yet, so why was he guessing wildly? He might as well check out that Visual Personal System. Maybe that was his golden finger.
As he thought this, a translucent screen appeared in his vision.

Although it wasn't the kind of 'golden finger' system he had imagined, the 'Within Reach' talent alone was enough to make Jhin overjoyed. It could be considered a minor cheat of its own.
There wasn't much to tidy up in the apartnt. After glancing at the empty refrigerator, Jhin decided to go out to buy groceries and fill his stomach. He also needed to buy a thank-you gift for Gabriel.
At that mont, Jhin had no idea that back where he had fainted, the red-haired girl had brought along another girl, with purple hair, and they were both staring blankly at the now-empty spot on the ground.
"Satania, where's the unconscious person you were talking about?"
"He was right here on the ground a mont ago! Vignette, you have to believe !"
"Alright, alright, of course I believe you. I wouldn't have co with you otherwise. Maybe the person just woke up and left on their own," Vignette comforted Satania.
"Hmph! To ignore the command of the great archdemon, Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell, to stay put! What an ungrateful person!" Satania pouted, speaking with so indignation.
"Can an unconscious person really hear what you're saying?" A bead of sweat trickled down Vignette's forehead as she silently retorted. She didn't say it out loud, though. She knew Satania ant well and was just a little embarrassed for having dragged her all the way here for nothing.
"Achoo!" Jhin, whose nose had suddenly started to itch, sneezed. He was on his way ho, carrying a bag of groceries and a small cake. He rubbed his nose. "Am I catching a cold?"
