"Jhin, 16 years old, residence in Ōsato District, Yamanashi Prefecture. What are you doing in this city?" In a pitch-black interrogation room, a scruffy middle-aged man held Jhin's student ID, turning it over and over.
"I've said it many tis already. I'm moving." Jhin repeated his answer.
"Are you kidding ? Are you underestimating the police, kid?" The man, furious, slamd his fist hard on the tal table. "Carrying sothing so dangerous... are you a terrorist?"
"If it weren't for your pig-headed boss forcibly bringing in, I don't think you'd be this worked up." Jhin rolled his eyes. He had just been minding his own business, traveling with his luggage, when so pig-faced guy dragged him to the police station. He was not pleased.
"Then just give us a straight answer!" Jhin's completely uncooperative attitude made the man even angrier.
However, it wasn't long before his boss, a man with a fat head and big ears, entered the interrogation room and called them out.
"Oh, my apologies, Mr. Jhin. If you're connected to the people over at Ichigaya, you should have said so sooner." The fat boss fanned himself continuously with a folding fan. His words were apologetic, but his expression was one of mockery. "I just ran a quick check on the database, and a Special Agency called to ask if they had left their dog with ."
Jhin had long been annoyed by this greasy, pig-like face. He slapped him straight across the face with a loud "smack." The fat boss's left cheek swelled up imdiately, a testant to the force Jhin had used.
"Since when did the Special Agency dare to talk about like that? If they co looking for you later, you'd better rember what you just said." Jhin, disgusted, took a tissue from his pocket to wipe the hand he had used for the slap. He left with his luggage after saying this, completely ignoring the venomous glare from the fat boss behind him.
Completely unaware that he would be visited and "entertained" by people from the Special Agency the very next day, only to be dismissed from his post, the man was currently cursing Jhin viciously in his heart, planning to use his connections to teach the kid a lesson.
Six years had passed since the day Jhin was found by Interpol. The reason he had passed out back then was that his brain was suddenly flooded with mories related to him in this world.
He was originally a seven-year-old child in an orphanage, later taken in by a silver-haired girl and formally adopted by her family.
The girl's na was Kazami Kazuki. Because her mother had a miscarriage with her second child and was left unable to conceive, she desperately wanted a younger brother. She brought her parents to the orphanage, where Jhin's sky-blue eyes captivated her, and so she chose him.
Because Jhin already had his own na, Kazami Kazuki didn't make him change it after the adoption and doted on her new little brother exceptionally.
Three years after Jhin was adopted, Kazami Kazuki, who could be considered the family's financial pillar, was involved in a car accident during a school trip. She went missing and was declared dead, and the Kazami family naturally fell apart.
He helped his nominal mother, a weak woman who could only blindly obey others, by dealing with the father, who had lost his al ticket and resorted to daily drinking and dostic violence. Afterwards, Jhin left the Kazami ho, and it was around that ti that he was kidnapped on the street.
With these mories, Jhin ca to understand the world he was in.
The famous Grisaia Trilogy. Jhin recalled the general plot, and the problem children at school indeed matched the na of the club the god had arranged for him.
As a clear-headed adult, Jhin naturally wouldn't let himself be used as a tool like the original protagonist. The scene he deliberately put on in front of Interpol was to show that he was not soone to be trifled with, not soone who could be easily manipulated.
Known within Interpol as the exceptionally famous "Devil's Child," he was placed under the surveillance of Kusakabe Asako under the pretext of adoption. Because of Jhin, she was not hit by Heath Oslo's large-caliber weapon, thus avoiding her fate of dying from her injuries.
While by her side, Jhin never showed any uncontrollable bloodlust, leading everyone to believe that after breaking free from Heath Oslo's control, the "Devil's Child" had successfully had his personality reford.
It wasn't until two years later, when Jhin was out shopping with Kusakabe Asako and they were attacked in a mall by terrorists suspected to be under Heath Oslo's command, that his sealed fangs were once again bared for all to see.
Two years had not only failed to dull his sharp teeth, but his growing body had even allowed his killing speed to reach a new level. Before the support troops arrived, Jhin had already dragged the corpses of the attacking terrorists one by one to the mall's first-floor lobby, waiting for them to clean up the ss.
After that, Jhin took over Kusakabe Asako's codena, "9029." Through his performance and abilities, he beca arguably the freest, and also the most feared, mber of Interpol's special agency.
Although he was officially a subordinate to Julia Bardera, Kusakabe Asako's childhood friend, she could only ask him to carry out missions by making requests most of the ti. The last person who tried to threaten Jhin's life to force him on a mission had died of sudden cardiac arrest, and Julia had no desire for an early grave.
Jhin's ability to kill without a trace was one of the reasons he could be so carefree. After receiving his request to find a school to attend, the Interpol departnt was quite obliging and threw him into a school run by soone he had saved during a past operation.
"Yahoo, Jhin! Long ti no see." A petite woman with brown hair in a bun, wearing glasses and a suit, stood by a silver-white car and greeted Jhin.
"Long ti no see, Tachibana Chizuru."
Jhin put his luggage in the trunk and swiftly sat in the passenger seat.
"What on earth did you do to have the police call to pick you up?" Tachibana Chizuru spoke with a childlike voice, and her appearance and height were also small, but in reality, she was of an age one shouldn't ntion.
"That fat-headed guy insisted on dragging to the police station for questioning. It had nothing to do with . Who knows what was wrong with him." Jhin certainly wouldn't tell Tachibana Chizuru that he had so "little toys" in his luggage, which was why he'd been detained.
Tachibana Chizuru drove Jhin to a remote location with an exceptionally large campus, stopping before a gate with a tal sign that read "Mihama Academy."
"What do you think? Pretty impressive, huh?" Tachibana Chizuru said to Jhin with a tone of pride.
"I never would have thought that the person who looked like a drowned rat would actually beco the principal," Jhin teased.
"Don't bring up the past!" Tachibana Chizuru huffed as she led Jhin into the principal's office.
"Mihama Academy currently has a total of six students, including you. I'll take you to the student dormitory in a bit. Do you have any questions?" Tachibana Chizuru asked without looking up, efficiently handling Jhin's various enrollnt docunts.
"No questions. At first, I thought they were going to dump in so military academy. I never expected it to be a school with such a beautiful environnt."
"Considering your experience and identity, they couldn't possibly put you in a regular school." As the only daughter of the prefectural governor, Tachibana Chizuru had learned a lot about him through various channels after he saved her. "So, just live a good life in this relatively normal school."
"Got it. Well then, could you take to the dorms, Chizuru?" Jhin saw the surveillance caras on the school's periter wall through the office window. His mory of the story's specific details was a bit fuzzy, so he couldn't be sure if his sister, who had been declared "dead," had already woken up and was watching him through the caras.
Tachibana Chizuru led Jhin out of the office and to a student dormitory that was plain on the outside but decorated like a hotel on the inside.
In the lobby, a black sofa and chairs were arranged around a small, transparent table in the center. Across from the table were a TV stand and a television. In a corner of the lobby stood a red vending machine and a trash can, next to a small bookshelf and a green potted plant.
As Jhin surveyed his surroundings, the corner of his clothes was gently tugged twice. He turned around to see a pink-haired girl in a maid outfit standing behind him, sizing him up with curious eyes.
"Excuse , are you the new transfer student, or a suspicious person?"
"My na is Jhin. I'm the new transfer student. And you are?"
Before the girl could answer Jhin's question, Tachibana Chizuru, who had finished inspecting Jhin's room, ca out and introduced her: "Her na is Komine Sachi. She's a first-year student at this school."
Komine Sachi was visibly stunned for a mont upon hearing Jhin's na. After recovering, she placed her hands in front of her, bowed, and said, "It's a pleasure to et you."
"Chizuru, do you have a hobby of raising students to be maids?" Jhin comnted, looking at Komine Sachi, who resembled a maid more than a student.
"Of course not!"
"Because I'm the class representative, I often help the teachers and other students with things. Soone said I was like a maid, then asked to try on a maid outfit. It actually fit quite well, and they suggested I wear it more often. So now I wear a maid outfit as much as possible." Komine Sachi spoke faster and faster, finally managing to explain the reason before running out of breath.
"Well then, I'll let her show you around." It seed Tachibana Chizuru was used to handing off trivial tasks to Komine Sachi, as she skillfully delegated the job of introducing the dormitory to her.
