To be honest, I’ve written many release speeches, but every ti it feels like the first, excited and nervous, and this ti is no exception.
Honestly, I don’t know if it’s my fate or what, but every ti I publish a book and lead up to its release, I encounter all sorts of situations, making each release feel hard-earned.
After "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World", I didn’t directly start writing "Slaying Chaos", but wrote "One Man Against the Cultivation Realm". However, that book t a tragic fate and got 404’d before reaching a hundred thousand words. The reason, as I explained before, was because I got too carried away and inadvertently wrote sothing too dark and inhumane, leading to its premature cancellation.
I was really bumd about that book, as I actually liked it a lot.
After that book was taken down, I took a break, then started writing "Slaying Chaos".
Before starting the book, I mulled over it for a long ti,
Both my editor and friends advised to continue with the style of "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World", since the stats in the early stages of that book were insanely good. At that ti, the editor even thought I had a shot at the top tier rewards, but eventually, because of my personal reasons, I couldn’t keep up the montum and the results sharply declined, forcing to wrap it up at just over a million words.
But that book also proved that readers still appreciate straightforward, decisive actions with an appealing market.
So, everyone told to keep writing like that,
I also wanted to write in that style, after all, earning money isn’t shaful, the key is that it makes money.
However, when I finally put pen to paper, I hesitated again,
So I spent a long ti reading through the comnts on "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World" one by one, and ultimately decided to add a little sothing different to the decisive actions, so readers wouldn’t suffer aesthetic fatigue.
Balancing the thrill and adding sothing unique is actually quite challenging, so after much deliberation, I found a breakthrough point, which is the characters!
In "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World", I’d rather not discuss the later stages. In the early stages, it was all about the thrill, constantly exhilarating, but the biggest flaw was the monotony in character developnt. Readers felt a bit empty after the thrill ended.
It’s like so single readers who feel great satisfaction in the act, but once the thrill fades, an infinite loneliness sets in, hehe,
So, for this book, I decided to flesh out the characters a bit, leaving readers with mories, just like lighting a cigarette afterward... that cigarette is the blind spot, you know what I an!
So, the style of this book is distinct from "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World",
For example, in the first volu, the guide character Gu Chuan appears,
This character will play a very important role later. He is a sowhat pretentious child of the Noble Family, but he is also filled with contradictions, having the arrogance of a Noble Family but also the camaraderie of a Martial World rogue.
In the second volu, other characters appear,
Rong Yichu, everyone can see that this character has so overlaps with Li Zeqian from "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World", but the difference is that Li Zeqian appeared as an already maxed-out big shot, while Rong Yichu will grow step by step,
Moreover, for the developnt of antagonist characters, I hope to bring sothing fresh. Too many cookie-cutter, stereotypical roles fail to leave a lasting impression, so I created a character like Wan Yan,
This character will differ greatly from the usual villains,
You’ll all see for yourselves as you continue reading.

But despite saying all this, there’s still one most important point,
That is, I write books to earn money,
So, I won’t fall into the pretentious literary trap. If readers like decisive actions, I’ll give them decisive actions. This is the foundation of this book, which will not change. The character stuff is just a garnish,
The main thing is a single word: thrill,
Really, I like reading web novels myself,
I also enjoy reading thrilling stories,
Ah, thrill is all there is!
I rember many readers telling one thing,

This book’s performance isn’t as good as "One Man’s Journey Through the Martial World", but it’s still doing okay, and thanks to so many readers’ strong support, it fortunately snagged the Sanjiang recomndation,

By the ti I wrote this speech, the book had over fourteen thousand bookmarks, and by the ti it goes live, it should be over fifteen thousand, but let’s assu it’s fourteen thousand!
