Among them, the worldview of the Primordial Chaos was so captivating that she found herself completely engrossed.

Several hours passed in a flash without her even noticing, and it wasn’t until her stomach started to rumble that she snapped back to reality.

After a simple al.

Perhaps because she hadn’t slept at all the previous night and her nerves were stretched taut,

she lay on the bed and fell asleep without realizing it. By the ti she woke up again,

the sky had already grown dark. It was quiet all around, without a single sound.

She picked up her charging phone, intending to check her group chat ssages.

But then she discovered sothing.

Her phone had no signal—not even a single bar.

At the sa ti, the lights overhead dimd, and the corners of the room seed to be draped in an extra layer of shadow.

Speckled stains had appeared on the once-pristine white walls.

Seeing this,

an inexplicable sense of dread suddenly washed over her.

Just then, a rustling sound ca from nearby.

Instinctively, Wuan Anning looked toward the window.

There, she saw sothing like a black worm slowly squirming its way in through the crack of the window.

Taking a closer look, she realized it wasn’t a worm, but strands of black hair.

Soon, a tide of hair surged through the cracks of the sealed window.

At the sight,

Wuan Anning’s face turned deathly pale, and her heart began to pound wildly.

She propped herself up, struggled into her wheelchair, and then wheeled herself frantically toward the door.

However, the door seed to be sealed by an invisible force. No matter how hard she pulled or pushed, it didn’t budge an inch.

She began to scream for help, but her cries went unanswered, like a stone dropped into the sea.

It was as if everyone else in the hotel was dead.

By now, all of the black hair had slithered into the room. It twisted and intertwined, gradually coalescing into the form of a woman who looked to be in her forties, her face ashen.

The woman clutched a pair of giant scissors woven from black hair. Her eyes were vacant, her expression blank, as she approached Wuan Anning step by step.

Seeing this terrifying scene, the horrific image of her own dismbernt from the previous Nightmare flashed through Wuan Anning’s mind.

Only now did she finally understand how she had died.

She had been dismbered by those scissors.

She swallowed hard.

Snapping back to the present, her eyes darted to the faint pattern on the back of her hand.

’Right now, perhaps only that god can save .’

She gritted her teeth, tore her eyes away from the terrifying thing stalking toward her, and shut them tight. She quickly ford the sun-wheel hand seal, began muttering an incantation, and started to pray with more devotion than she ever had in her life.

"Great Sun God, you are the incarnation of hope..."

As Wuan Anning prayed with all her heart, her eyes shut tight,

the cold, sinister aura grew stronger, pressing in on her as if it were a physical thing.

A sickening, rancid stench even reached her nostrils—the sll of rotting flesh, foul enough to make her gag.

At the sa ti, a horrifying scraping sound grew closer and closer.

She knew what it was—the sound of the giant scissor blades dragging across the floor.

Just as she thought she was about to die,

the back of her hand suddenly beca scorching hot without warning, as if a raging fire were burning on her skin.

The next second, a dazzling golden radiance burst forth from the back of her hand, like a miniature sun. Wherever its light reached,

the chilling, sinister presence that had been right upon her instantly vanished without a trace, like snow lting under the midday sun.

Imdiately after, a faint, miserable shriek echoed through the room.

Then, with a loud CLANG, sothing heavy fell to the floor, the sound jarringly abrupt in the silent space.

Wuan Anning suppressed her fear and anxiety, praying silently for a few monts more. Only after confirming that there was nothing else amiss around her did she finally open her eyes.

The sight before her left her slightly stunned.

The monster had vanished without a trace, and her surroundings had returned to normal.

All that remained on the floor was a single pair of black scissors, now of a normal size.
