The aura was condensed and heavy; it was another grandmaster, "Iron Wall" Shi ng.
Both of them bore battle scars and filth, yet their aura remained vigorous, evidently not seriously wounded.
As soon as they landed, their gaze was imdiately drawn to Jiang Wei floating in the air, exuding an apocalyptic pressure, and the dark red sea of fire spreading beneath her feet, their pupils contracted instantly, their faces etched with utmost shock!
"This... what is this?!" Shen Yi’s voice was slightly dry.
"Brother Yue, this fire..." Shi ng glanced at Yue Zhen, his eyes filled with uncertainty.
"No ti to explain!" Yue Zhen’s speech was rapid, pointing towards the ominous, foul-slling cave entrance, "The entrance has appeared! This is Fang Qingyu, the leader of the Special Task Force under the Hidden Dragon Plan, and this is Comrade Jiang Wei! It’s an ergency, let’s deal with those three guys below first! We can talk on the way!"
Shen Yi and Shi ng’s eyes instantly focused on Fang Qingyu.
Hidden Dragon Plan Captain.
This identity itself represented the Federation’s top combat strength and trust among the younger generation.
Combined with the terrifying scene of burning forest and boiling sea ahead...
The astonishnt in their eyes quickly transford into seriousness and a hint of reverence. Without wasting any words, they cupped their fists: "Shen Yi (Shi ng), at your service, Captain Fang!"
"No ti to delay, let’s go!"
Fang Qingyu wasted no ti, waving at Jiang Wei in the sky.
The terrifying dark red glow around Jiang Wei instantly converged, her small figure floated down silently, standing steadily next to Fang Qingyu, as if the fiery dominion of devastation monts ago was rely an illusion.
Taking the lead, Fang Qingyu activated the Thunder Shock Escape Shadow, transforming into a streak of purple-blue electric light, shooting unhesitatingly towards the deep, ominously exuding cave entrance!
Jiang Wei followed closely behind, her small figure moving swiftly like a ghost.
The three grandmasters, Yue Zhen, Shen Yi, and Shi ng exchanged glances, determination flashing in their eyes, unleashing their Qi Blood or True Intent, transforming into three streaks of flowing light, imdiately following into the dark entrance resembling the maw of hell.
At the instant the last figure disappeared into the cave.
Boom——!!!
The arched, scorched land suddenly collapsed inward.
The interlocking, jagged rocks at the edge frantically squeezed and closed like living creatures.
The giant cave entrance, just torn open monts ago, was completely sealed shut as if it never existed, by the writhing and closing scorched earth and stones within less than three seconds of their entry.
Leaving only billowing smoke above and a desolate scorched wasteland.
The temporary camp on the outskirts.
Lin Kang stood at the edge of a flattened stump, as erect as a javelin.
His gaze firmly locked onto the terrifying sea of fire erupting deep within the lair, turning the half-dark "sky" an ominous dark red!
Even from several kiloters away, the oppressive pressure of scorching pain was still transmitted with startling clarity.
Within the camp, everyone stopped their actions, staring in struck wonder at the devastation of the firestorm.
"Oh my Heavens..." Duan Ling covered her mouth, her big eyes filled with incredulous shock, "This... did Jiang Wei do this?"
"Who else... but her..." Qin Hui murmured.
Lin Kang’s fist silently tightened at his side, the knuckles turning white from exertion, making a faint "clacking" sound.
That dark red fla, that power of total annihilation...
Murmuring within.
This is what it ans to be a grandmaster...
...
The cave entrance closed, extinguishing the last sliver of external light completely.
Absolute darkness descended in an instant.
The overwhelming, nauseating scent of rot, sweet and sickly, blended with earth and a strange root sap aroma, wrapped around the intruders like a viscous liquid almost imdiately.
Underfoot lay a slippery, downward-sloping rocky passageway, covered in slick moss and sticky, dark green sap.
"Watch your step!"
Yue Zhen gave a low shout, a yellowish glow lit around him, illuminating a small area.
Shen Yi’s long, slender sword was drawn out an inch, its eerie blue blade like a cold moon, bringing forth a hint of chill and sharpness.
The tal gloves on Shi ng’s fists slightly glowed, a steady aura spreading out.
Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei appeared much calr.
Jiang Wei’s red pupils in the darkness resembled two faint lanterns, scanning their surroundings.
Fang Qingyu directly ignored the darkness, his clear pupils penetrating all falsehoods in the absolute depths.
"Xiaojiang." Fang Qingyu called softly.
"Mm."
Jiang Wei responded, her small fingers casually pointed forward.
Sizzle!
A fist-sized mass of pure fla emitting gentle yet steady white light appeared out of nowhere as though alive, hovering several ters in front of the group.
This white fla emitted no heat, yet illuminated the passage within a dozen ters in exquisite detail, dispelling the thick darkness and unpleasant damp coldness.
The passage walls were not natural but covered with a thick network of dark brown roots pulsating like veins, while the slippery path underfoot extended into the unfathomable depth below.
Strangely, all the way down.
Aside from the rhythmic pulsing of the roots against the walls and the "drip-drip" of sap, there were surprisingly no attacks from any Life Ghosts.
Eerily silent.
"Too quiet..." Shen Yi’s voice was icy, his long sword fully drawn, its eerie blue blade alertly pointing toward the dark below, "What are those things plotting?"
"They’re luring us to where they want us to go." Shi ng said in a deep voice, clenching his fists, "This path, it’s been arranged by them."
Yue Zhen’s face was grim: "This won’t do! Master Su and Master Chen’s situations are unclear, if we follow their rhythm, we’ll only end up passive!"
