From this distance, they were easily recognisable as a collective, though each individual was less distinct. They glided along with the quiet confidence of a clan that did not need to make noise to make their presence known.

The last to make their way to the magical city were the Brown Clan, coming in from the eastern road—the longest of the four routes. Their long journey was evident, but it did not diminish their arrival. The dust on their travel robes was the settled kind, a sign of distance travelled rather than the light dust from a short morning trip. Two elders at the front walked with the careful, seasoned grace of those who have covered a lot of ground, arriving exactly when they ant to, just as they had planned from the start.

Conner Brown was the first nad mber to step forward, clearly visible beyond the elders. He was at Spirit Root Realm Level 6, Low Stage. His build was solid, the kind that cos from years of honing both his cultivation and primary weapon technique until they beca the sa. He had broad shoulders and a sturdy base, with hands that were noticeably large even from a distance, and his look was sharp.

His stance spoke volus about his experience in cultivation and with a staff weapon; you could see the full-body engagent of the Three-Direction Sweep in the way he balanced himself, even when standing still. His face was wide and exuded a sense of patience, but there was nothing passive about it. It was the kind of patience that cos from knowing that waiting for the right mont and acting at the right ti are two sides of the sa coin.

Dustin Brown moved to his left, his fra noticeably slimr than Conner Brown. The quickness of his actions highlighted a sharp difference from his partner's more stable, rooted deanor. At Spirit Root Realm Level 5 Low Stage, while Conner firmly occupied the ground beneath him, Dustin gave off the impression that he could spring into action at any mont if needed.

Ten junior mbers followed—the Brown Clan's quieter travel colours making them the least visually distinct arriving group in the morning's sequence of entrances, but Loran noted their cultivation levels with the sa careful attention he had given the others and noted the figures without a word.

Grey Shadow Hall's accommodation coordination had efficiently guided all four clan groups to the central district of the city before noon.

The order ca from Elder Delvin himself, showcasing the impressive efficiency of an organisation that has successfully handled major logistical tasks in the past, streamlining the process to run smoothly without needing constant supervision at every turn.

The accommodation available in the central district that t the capacity requirents for groups of this size—forty-plus individuals across four separate parties requiring quality lodging within reasonable proximity to the competition registration point—was, without exception, the thirty-two buildings the Osborn clan had opened the previous morning.

The Walker Clan's tightly organised unit filed into one of the larger buildings on the lane's eastern facing with the sa composed efficiency they had maintained since the northern road. Harvey and Aaden moved through the entrance without visible reaction to the surrounding city—they were here for one purpose, and the building they were sleeping in was not it.

Drake Walker stood at the entrance of the building; he could not admire the building exterior—the beautifully crafted stonework above the door, the light-colored stone that ford the structure, and the impressive four-story building that rose above him—before he stepped inside the building to join the group. He continued to observe everything with the sa sharp attention he had shown since they arrived in the magical city.

The Brooks Clan took over the building, which had a courtyard inside. Zara Brooks was already through the entrance and into the open courtyard space before many of her companions had even stepped through the front door. She looked up at the sky overhead, the four walls standing tall around the peaceful central area, and a hint of tranquility settled on her face.

As Rachel Clark looked around the common area on the ground floor of the building assigned to the Clark Clan, she approached it with the sa careful attention she gave to everything else in the Magical city. She noticed every little detail, as if she were a detective piecing together clues about the room. Silently, she headed toward the stairs.

After the Brown Clan had made themselves at ho in their rooms, Conner Brown stood by the upper window, taking in the view of the forest for a couple of minutes. From up there, he could see the tree line of the Forbidden Forest, a dark and dense barrier at the southern edge. Its impenetrable nature made it impossible to glimpse what secrets it held from this vantage point.

He gazed at it with that familiar, patient look that was just part of who he was. Then, he turned away from the window and carefully unpacked his staff from its travel wrapping, moving with the gentle precision of soone who knows how to handle sothing delicate.

The four clan groups were completely in the dark about which buildings they were occupying. You would not find the Osborn clan na anywhere at the entrance or in the communal spaces. It was only ntioned in the registration docunts that the elder managing each clan's accommodations would eventually check—buried deep in the ownership line of a standard lodging contract, much like how most ownership lines are often overlooked.

There are four clan groups and twelve nad competitors, all tucked away tonight in the Osborn clan buildings. anwhile, Robert is still in the restricted training building at the far end of the compound, completely unaware of everything happening around him.

As evening settled in, the compound felt like a peaceful oasis compared to the lively city outside. John leaned against the window in the inner corridor, clutching Loran's updated report—the second submission of the day. This one was richer in detail than the morning's initial version, now that the full scope of arrivals had beco clear. Every one of the four clans was accounted for.

As we stood by the gate of the magical city, we checked out the extent of the cultivation and reviewed the Grey Shadow Hall registration papers we had available to confirm the accuracy of the information. We discovered that the entry pair for the Walker Clan was none other than Harvey Walker and Aaden Walker. Additionally, we noted their levels, which corresponded with the information we had gathered over the last month.

He read the last part of the report and thought about it.

The three unmarked Soul Manifestation cultivators who had entered through the eastern gate two days ago had been sighted again in the early evening. Central district. Moving through the lane that ran directly in front of four of the Osborn clan's hostel buildings. They had stopped outside one of them — the forest-facing building where the Brown Clan was currently housed — for approximately ten minutes before continuing their movent through the district.

Loran's note at the end of the section was short and to the point, lacking any interpretation. Their focus was not on the building itself; it was on the people inside.

John set the report flat on the inner table. Outside the corridor window, the city was settling into its competition-eve noise—louder than ordinary evenings, the particular dense energy of a place full of people who had traveled significant distances for sothing that began tomorrow and were now in the last hours before it did. Voices from the central district carried further than usual in the evening air. The lanterns were being lit along the main thoroughfare earlier than they usually are.

The building across the compound was enveloped in darkness and stillness. Tomorrow morning, Robert will co out. Tomorrow morning, the competition will start in the magical city.

In the heart of the city tonight, three Soul Manifestation cultivators were stealthily navigating the streets. They were always on the lookout for what their competitors were up to, although they did not have a formal reason to be. They would stop outside different hotels, watching the folks inside, and then quietly slip away without anyone knowing who they were.

John folded the report once and took a mont to study the clan compound gate. After a brief pause, he turned and made his way toward the restricted building that lood across the dark yard.

As he walked across the open ground, he could hear the city's noise echoing behind him, eventually stopping at the dark stone wall of the building. He glanced at the door, lost in thought about the cultivation process and the strength of the Walker clan. John knew that if Robert's cultivation level didn't match Harvey Walker's, it would spell big trouble for the Osborn clan in this competition.

He regained his composure and believed in Robert's ability to succeed. After that, he left the restricted building and headed to his room to get so rest.
