When they returned, the compound was still and quiet. John had not spoken a single word on the way back. He did not have to.

He had looked at Robert's condition once more at the compound gate and directed two things without discussion: the clan's dical supplies to Robert's room and the sa to Sai's.

Both went without argunt.

Robert was in his room, sitting on a low chair next to the desk. He stayed still as a mber of the clan worked on his right shoulder, trying not to move around too much.

The joint had been pushed inward due to the close-range impact from the Iron Soul Compression. It was not broken, just compressed.

The Bone-Setting Pill was the first to go down—thick and bitter, it had that distinct taste of a top-notch recovery compound designed to heal structural damage instead of just treating surface wounds.

Then the Crimson nd Pill—the sa grade Sai had used in the forest, working on the soft tissue damage around the shoulder joint—was applied.

Then the attending mber wrapped the forearm carefully and left.

Robert sat alone.

The room was just as small and practical as it had always been. There was a desk, a lamp, and a narrow window that frad the compound yard, bathed in the soft light of early evening.

Nothing had changed within him. Everything around him, however, had transford. He took a careful breath. The pressure in his chest had eased—the Bone-Setting Pill was doing its job, addressing whatever had been thrown out of balance during Harvey's last blow.

Not completely absent, just lessened. Still doing its job. He closed his eyes for about twenty minutes, letting the pills do their magic. anwhile, in Sai's room, the sa kind of healing was happening for different wounds.

On the left side, Sai was taking the second dose of the Crimson nd Pill—he had already taken the first one in the forest. Leaning against the wall, he had his eyes shut, focusing on his breathing, which he had ticulously controlled throughout the month of training for monts just like this.

He was not focused on the competition at all. He did not analyze the outco. He simply inhaled deeply, let the compound do its thing, and waited for his body to let him know when it was ti to shift gears from recovery.

Two hours later, Robert finally opened his eyes. His right shoulder felt about sixty percent functional—good enough. The sensation in his left forearm was coming back. As for his chest, the odd feeling was still there, but it had dulled to sothing he could handle.

He glanced at the desk, then shifted his gaze to the window. After that, he opened the system. The task notification was still there, waiting for his attention. This ti, he took a mont to read it thoroughly.

SYSTEM TASK — COMPLETE

Forest Hunt Competition — First Place

Reward One: 100,000 System Points Total: 180,000

Reward Two: Power Assistant — UNLOCKED

Cultivation Level: Soul Manifestation Realm — Level 9 (High-Level)

Soul power required from host: Zero

Activation: Verbal or internal call — available at any mont

Duration: Unlimited

Form: Non-physical presence — visible and audible to the host only

Robert read it twice.

Then he said one word internally.

Activate.

The room remained unchanged in its physical state. There was no light and no sound that the compound could detect.

However, in the space next to his desk — within the unique realm of awareness that the system operated in — a presence made its entrance.

It was not large or dramatic; it was just there. That is how Soul Manifestation Level 9 felt in the room—its unique presence that Robert sensed from Varis Valen across the eting table and from Harvey's focused technique in the deep zone.

This situation felt different from anything else. Varis's presence carried a weight that was completely distinct from Robert's.

This was the weight of sothing that had arrived specifically for him. It spoke.

The voice was steady and clear, lacking any warmth or chill. "Host confird. Power Assistant online." Robert glanced at the space next to his desk. "Can you hear ?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Can anyone else hear you?"

"No."

Robert sat with that for a mont.

Soul Manifestation Level 9. Sitting in the space beside his desk.

Answering questions.

He had sat across from Varis Valen in a eting room and felt what that level produced simply standing still.

This was the sa level.

Available whenever he called it.

"What can you do?" Robert asked. "I can provide combat assistance when needed—full Soul Manifestation Level 9 output. I can also conduct strategic assessnts upon request and offer cultivation guidance for the host. Plus, I can analyze techniques."

"Cultivation guidance."

"Yes."

"Specific."

"I can identify the precise requirents for your next cultivation breakthrough. I can assess technique flaws invisible to the host or other mbers during execution. I can calculate optimal training sequences based on available resources."

Robert looked at the desk.

A cultivation advisor at Soul Manifestation Level 9.

Who required nothing from him to operate.

"What is my current bottleneck?" Robert said.

Spirit Root Realm Level 7 Mid-Stage. Current bottleneck — foundation density. Your recent cultivation advancent was rapid. The cultivation base is advancing faster than the foundation can keep up with. There is a small gap, but it is definitely there. If you rush to Level 7 High Stage without fixing these issues, your progress will end up being unstable.

"How do I address it?"

"Foundation Strengthening Array," which you have already purchased from the system. Combined with two weeks of reduced-intensity cultivation focused on compression rather than advancent. After two weeks, the foundation will support Level 7 High Stage advancent without instability risk."

Robert looked at the system points display—180,000.

"Can I increase your capabilities through system points?" He said.

"Yes. Power Assistant enhancent is available through the system securely.

Current enhancent options are available; you can check."

The system display opened beside the Assistant's presence.

POWER ASSISTANT ENHANCENT

Option 1 — Assistant Cultivation Upgrade: Level 9 Peak → Soul Manifestation Level 10 (low-stage) POWER ASSISTANT ENHANCENT. Cost: 60,000 points. Requires.

Option 2 — Assistant Cultivation Upgrade: Soul Manifestation Level 10 (low-stage) → Level 10 Mid-Stage Cost: 100,000 points required.

Option 3 — Assistant Cultivation Upgrade: Soul Manifestation Level 10 (Mid-stage) → Level 10 Peak Stage Cost: 200,000 points. Requires.

Option 4 — Analysis Depth Upgrade: 25,000 points. No prerequisite required. Effect: Beast and cultivator scan detail increases significantly. Weakness identification is more precise. Available at any stage.

Robert read all four options carefully.

Sequential upgrades.

Each one requires the previous. Option 1 first. Then Option 2. Then Option 3.

The current Assistant was already Soul Manifestation Level 9 (Peak-Stage).

He had felt what that level produced from Varis Valen across a eting room.

Option 3 took it to the Level 10 Peak Stage.

He did not know what that looked like. He was not sure anyone in Magical City did. He looked at his current points—180,000.

He could purchase Option 1 and Option 4 imdiately.

POWER ASSISTANT ENHANCENT

Combined cost — 85,000.

Remaining — 95,000.

Not enough for Option 2 yet. But close. He looked at Option 4 first. Analysis Depth Upgrade - 25,000 points.

The Iron Claw Titan scan had changed the fight entirely. More precise weakness identification on any beast or cultivator scanned.

Every future encounter. He selected Options 4 and 1.

System Points: 180,000

Remaining System Points: 95,000

The atmosphere in the room changed a bit with the Assistant's presence. It was not a huge shift, just a subtle increase in the weight of the air next to the desk.

The way a cultivator's presence shifted when they advanced was felt before it was understood.

"Enhancent received," the Assistant said.

"How does it affect your capability?" Robert said.

"Combat output increased. Technique analysis now identifies micro-level flaws in execution — not just visible errors but the sub-second variations in timing and angle that accumulate into exploitable patterns over multiple exchanges."

Robert looked at the desk.

Sub-second variations.

Harvey had adjusted his technique mid-fight, and Robert had read the new pattern in half a second.

With this upgrade, reading would happen faster. "Can you analyze my own techniques?" Robert said.

"Yes. When you execute during training, I can identify the specific variations between your intended technique and your actual execution.

The gap between what you think you are doing and what you are producing."

That gap. Every cultivator had it.

The upcoming competition. The next big hunt. Anything that racks up points next will contribute to Option 2.

He turned off the display and took his brush in hand. "The clan," Robert stated. "What about it?"

"What does it need? Specifically. In order of priority."

The Assistant processed for two seconds.

"Priority one—we need to ensure that foundations are stable for all clan mbers. Rapid growth without foundation work produces instability. Clan-wide foundation consolidation before the next advancent push is recomnded."

"Priority two — information network expansion. The current network has three points. Effective intelligence for a city of Magical City's current population and traffic level requires a minimum of seven. Missing points—northern gate, southern forest approach, inner rchant district, and Grey Shadow Hall adjacent observation."

"Priority three — spirit stone vein managent. The current extraction rate is conservative. The vein has forty percent more capacity than the current extraction utilizes. Increasing extraction by thirty percent funds all other priorities without drawing external attention."

Robert looked at the window.

Three things. Foundation. Network. Vein.

The Assistant had just told him exactly where each one was underperforming in two seconds.

He started writing. The next morning arrived cold and clear.
