In just a month, the Osborn clan had undergone changes that were invisible from the outside.

The gate appeared exactly as it always did. The outer walls were still made of that familiar dark stone. The restricted sign on the information building's door had not changed either.

What was happening inside was a whole different story. Robert found himself at the first-floor window of the information building, peering out at the training yard as the early morning sun began to rise.

John Osborn was practicing his cultivation form in his personal training room.

One month ago, that form had carried the particular careful quality of Soul Manifestation Level 2 Mid-Stage—solid, experienced, but operating with the conserved energy of soone who understood their reservoir's limits. Now it carried sothing different.

The movents felt familiar, but the energy behind them was different. Soul Manifestation Level 3 Low Stage settled into John Osborn's body as if it had always belonged there, patiently waiting for the perfect mont to erge.

Neither Robert nor John brought up the topic of his advancent. They both knew it was happening, but they figured that talking about it would not do much good compared to just sticking with the way things were.

Robert turned from the window.

Sai was already in the room—the expansive work surface that ran along the eastern wall of the information building, where the daily reports from the network were received and sorted before anything else on the building's schedule could get underway.

Seven points now.

Loran is stationed at the eastern gate, while Cedric is managing the caravan routes. Mira is busy in the market. We have added three new cultivators in just the last three weeks: one at the northern gate, another at the southern forest approach, and the last in the inner rchant district.

The grey Shadow Hall, known for being the most sensitive of the seven points, is manned by an operator who has completed the entire Concealed Observation Art training. They are busy running the Information Anchor Array's data retrieval on a forty-eight-hour cycle.

Sai looked at the reports without looking up.

He said, "There were two ssengers from the Walker Clan who ca through the northern gate. They arrived at different tis, four hours apart, but they bore a similar appearance. You can tell they have had Walker Clan training by the way they carry themselves, even out of uniform. Neither of them had any clan emblems on them."

Robert was sitting across from him. "Direction?" "They both headed toward the central district. The northern gate's cultivator tracked them to the main thoroughfare junction but lost sight of them when they got caught up in the market flow."

Sai glanced at Mira's report and turned the page. "There is one person who matches the first ssenger's description. They spent thirty minutes in the cultivation resource section of the market, simply browsing without making a purchase. Then, they left and went toward the northern district."

"The northern district," Sai said, glancing at him. "that is where the three unknown cultivators were last spotted."

The room was quiet.

Robert glanced over the report, noticing that the Walker Clan ssengers were heading towards the spot where three Soul Manifestation cultivators were staying.

It was not just a coincidence; it was all part of a plan. "they are communicating with one another," Robert pointed out.

"Yes."

"This ans that whatever is being planned with them," Sai remained silent. He did not need to say a word.

Robert looked at the Grey Shadow Hall adjacent report.

The Information Anchor Array picked up three new energy signatures in the last forty-eight hours as they entered the Grey Shadow Hall building. It is interesting to see that none of these mbers are matched from the five clans.

He set the report down and remained silent for a few seconds.

Please increase the reporting frequency for the northern gate cultivator. Change it to every six hours instead of daily. I want to see every detail of their movent.

"Done," Sai remarked. "The Shadow Reading operators are operating at their full potential now. We are picking up patterns across the entire seven points, and it is uncovering cross-references that the separate reports missed."

The rchant we talked about last week? Yeah, he ca in through the eastern gate. He did not buy anything at the market and left through the northern gate about fourteen hours later, after spending roughly six hours in the quieter residential area of the northern district.

Sai took a mont to pause and said, "It's the sa neighborhood where those three cultivators have been staying for the past eleven days."

They are not just passing by; They have actually established a base within Magical City. It has been eleven days of their continuous presence, and the only thing they seem to be doing is watching.

"Jack," Robert murmured silently in his thoughts.

"The three unmarked cultivators. Eleven days staying in the northern district. What does that duration indicate about their operational tiline?"

"Extended observation periods of this length typically precede either an assessnt completion—aning they have gathered sufficient information and will move to the next phase—or an operational setup period, aning they are preparing to execute sothing that requires specific conditions to be t first."

"Which is more likely, given the Walker Clan ssenger contact?"

"Operational setup. The ssenger contact suggests coordination rather than independent assessnt. They are aligning their actions with another clan."

Robert looked at the window.

The compound yard outside.

Ronan is working with spear repetitions in the corner. Sarah and Taylen were moving through paired foundation work that had developed naturally over the past weeks of shared yard sessions.

All of them are stronger than they were a month ago.

None of them knew what was being organized in the northern district two kiloters from where they stood.

After the morning coordination review, he ca across Kael and Lina in the eastern section of the training yard.

One month in.

Kael was a broad-shouldered man of twenty-six with the particular defensive stillness in his standing posture that spoke of years developing a style built around absorption and redirection rather than offensive output. Spirit Root Realm Level 5.

He had arrived at the Osborn compound twelve days after the recruitnt announcent was posted—one of four serious inquiries, two of which had not passed the initial assessnt.

His previous clan had dissolved following a resource dispute with a larger organization eighteen months ago. He had spent the intervening period as an independent cultivator in the region between Magical City and the eastern territories.

His story was consistent across three separate conversations conducted by three different clan mbers over five days.

His behavior inside the clan was consistent with the story.

More importantly, his behavior inside the information building was consistent.
