Kyle finished prehending the Law of Gravity Darkness and left the Law Well.
'All four Level Four Laws are done. I'm not sure what I should do next. I should take advantage of the remaining longevity of my Elemental, but there's a chance that old Demons get sent to the frontlines. Technically, I have around 2,700 years left. Neither choice is a safe bet, but I guess I can allow myself a millennium of time to work on my power.'
'The biggest issue is the gulf in power between Crusher Demons and Sage Demons. Even with all of my advantages, I would barely be able to win against an Initial or Early Sage Demon, and that's not enough power to gain entry into a Level Five Law Well.'
'I need to think of something. Gaining some attention might help, but it has to be the right kind of attention.'
The pillar moved towards the west. Since it didn't need to be near Level Four Law Wells anymore, staying close to them was an unnecessary risk.
'Actually, let's go with 1,550 years. According to my progress, that should be the time when I break the next hook. As a Major Spirit Lord, my perception would also get stronger. Right now, my biggest problem is a lack of information.'
After some planning, Kyle decided to do two things.
First, the pillar would collect more prehension Fruits. The more he had, the better.
Second, he would start fusing the Essences of his individual Elements. This would save him some time in the future, when it was time to create more plex Laws.
Time passed. Nothing strange happened.
Eventually, Kyle finished his first Essence-Fusion.
'One done. Seven to go.'
Yet, before he continued with the next one, he furrowed his brows.
'Actually, I just got an idea.'
Kyle looked at his Elemental, which also counted as a human. Technically...
'Can Demons have Infused Laws?'
'Honestly, I have no idea. I haven't heard of a Demon having an Infused Law, but that doesn't mean that they can't have one. It's just that their Aspects of Power are different. They don't have Spirits, minds, and Centers, but they have bodies and Beast Cores. Can you infuse them with Laws?'
'Nobody ever told me, and the worst part is, I can't even find the answer. I can infuse my Elemental with Laws since it counts as a human. I can't test my theory on real Demons.'
'Actually, why can't I?' Kyle thought as he got an idea.
A moment later, he looked at a random Peak Primal Demon.
Kyle prepared himself and sent a dense concept transmission to it. The concept transmission entered its Demon Core without any resistance. After all, Demons rarely refused concept transmissions since they lacked a certain kind of self-awareness.
In their minds, Demons just existed. It was similar to how many animals perceived the world. They rarely looked in the mirror to learn about themselves. Most animals probably didn't even know what their faces looked like since they couldn't see their own face without looking at a mirror. Even if they did, would they remember their own face?
They still existed, but they didn't put a value on their personalities and experiences. Instincts dictated survival, power, and reproduction. Their perceived self wasn't important. Even if their entire personality changed, their three goals wouldn't be affected. So what if all of their beliefs changed? They were still alive, and therefore, they existed.
When the Peak Primal Demon received Kyle's concept transmission, it felt overwhelmingly powerful logic. On Earth, a personality was made of memories and genetics, which influenced things like temperament and predispositions. When these things interacted, a plex network of logic was created, which determined one's actions and beliefs, and therefore, their personality.
A memory of extending one's hand into fire and feeling pain would create logical connections that said that fire was hot and that it was bad to extend one's hand into it.
This memory linked with other memories and one's genetic predisposition regarding certain values and choices to create a far greater network of associations. Even if people often said that emotions and logic were different, emotions were also just logical connections.
In the concept transmission, Kyle had included countless logical connections, which bined many concepts about reality. While the Primal Demon had many individual memories, their logical connections were not as numerous or intricate.
So, when Kyle's concept transmission arrived, the massive network of logic overwrote the old network to a certain degree. There were things that were unalterable. For example, it was impossible to touch anything related to the three core goals of a Demon. If that were possible, Humanity would have already used concept transmissions to control the Demons.
While the inner workings of the Demon's mind had changed drastically, from an outsider's perspective, it hadn't changed. It still aimed to grow stronger and to survive. It just knew a lot more.
After receiving the concept transmission, the Demon just kept staying inside its Law Well. However, its actions had changed.
Kyle had given it the concepts of Essence Extraction and Essence Infusion.
Via Essence Extraction and Infusion, the Demon could take some of its obsolete powers and use them to increase its power.
Sadly, the Demon quickly realized a problem. It needed a Law, but it didn't have one. It knew a lot about Yang-Metal and Yin-Metal, but it didn't know everything about either Element. It could create their respective Energies well enough, but they weren't perfect.
After some time, the Demon left the Minor Metal Law Well and flew towards the west. It wanted to learn everything there was to learn about Yang-Metal and Yin-Metal.
Kyle decided against following it. Instead, he traveled a bit towards the north and found another Primal Demon. Once more, he sent a concept transmission, and once more, the Demon traveled to the west.
He sent the same concept transmission to a total of 100 Demons, which had been spread across a great distance. 100 scattered, weird Demons wouldn't attract any attention in a sea of billions and trillions.
After sending the last one on its way, Kyle also flew towards the west. With his large Energy Sense, he could keep watch over the majority of Demons.
'Luckily, Demons don't have any desire to help other Demons. Otherwise, if they succeed, every Demon will start prehending Laws. I mean, it shouldn't be impossible for Demons to prehend Laws. It's just that they do not have any desire to do so.'
For the next years, Kyle kept watch over the Demons while also focusing on the Essence Fusion of his Elements.
Years passed, and eventually, Kyle noticed that one of the Demons had finished prehending a Level One Law. Even if Demons weren't as smart as humans, a Peak Primal Demon could still prehend a Level One Law relatively quickly.
Then, the Demon went to an isolated location, and moments later, an Essence appeared in front of it.
