Kyle’s heart was still racing.
He had co extrely close to death just now.
If the three of them actually attacked him, he would die.
Luckily, he managed to intimidate them enough.
While retreating, Kyle fed the tallic hide to his hamr, making it harder and heavier.
’These things are terrifying,’ Kyle thought. ’But they’re also delicious!’
He took another bite of the succulent at.
By now, his Ether had fully restored, and his injuries had healed.
He finished the corpse in about two minutes and continued walking.
The velociraptor things kept watching Kyle from a distance, but they didn’t chase.
Slowly, Kyle cald down.
"How strong were they?" he asked.
"Peak Beasts," Theodor answered. "You can kill one of them, but not several at once."
"I noticed," Kyle comnted.
Kyle was only a Late Human, and these things perfectly countered his style of fighting.
He didn’t want to fight these things again.
For the next couple of minutes, Kyle carefully edged his way forward along the walls of the canyon.
At one point, he saw a gigantic beast jump from one side of the canyon to the other, and he imdiately hid behind his sheet of iron.
Whatever that thing was felt far too dangerous to Kyle.
’Why does there have to be danger around every fucking corner!’ Kyle thought.
’I’ve barely moved three miles from the Cradle, and I was in life-threatening danger how many tis already?!’
’How am I supposed to survive 300 miles of that?!’
’I wish I could go back to the Cradle. I don’t like the outside world.’
Then, he rembered the guards.
’But that’s not an option either! Fucking fantasy land!’
’Humans give shit in the Cradles, and beasts give shit outside of the Cradles!’
’I just want to go south in peace! Is that too much to ask?!’
His instincts scread at him suddenly, and he jumped back.
’Fuck you, fantasy land!’ he thought.
BOOOM!
A round stone that was almost ten ters long fell from the wall and landed on the exact spot where Kyle had just been.
’Now, even the fucking ground wants to kill !’ he thought in annoyance.
But then, two tiny eyes appeared on one end of the round stone.
The next mont, the round stone stood up, and Kyle could see four thick legs.
’What the fuck is it this ti?!’
The beast in front of Kyle had a shell like a woodlouse, but instead of having a bunch of legs, it only had four.
In a way, it also looked like a pangolin but even more armored.
Theodor didn’t say anything.
That either ant that Kyle was not in danger or that Kyle couldn’t be saved anymore.
When the beast saw that Kyle avoided its ambush, it stood up and charged at him.
Its acceleration was slow, but this thing was huge and looked heavy as fuck!
’It’s like an armored rhinoceros without the horn!’
Kyle held his hamr tightly.
He gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes in hatred.
’I’ve had it with these motherfucking beasts!’
Kyle’s entire body bulged.
Then, he swung his hamr forward.
"FUCKING DIE!"
BOOOOM!
Kyle hit the side of the beast’s round head, but its heavy body still hit his chest.
He was flung back, and he was sure he felt so of his ribs break.
Kyle landed on his back and rolled for a bit.
When he finally saw the beast again, he noticed that it was still approaching.
’This thing is going to trample !’ he thought.
But then, the beast veered to its right and lost its balance.
It fell over and quickly tried to get back on its feet.
Kyle’s eyes narrowed when he saw that.
Sure, this thing was heavy and armored, but that was exactly the kind of target Kyle liked the most.
Kyle jumped to the fallen beast and lifted his hamr.
BOOOOM!
He hit the side of its head again, and he heard a satisfying crunch.
The formation on his hamr broke the stony shell into pieces, and Kyle switched the sides of his hamr.
CRACK!
He ramd the pick of his hamr into the beast’s head, blood exploding everywhere.
Yet, it was still trying to get up.
Luckily, it was slow, and it didn’t have any claws.
This thing obviously used its weight as a weapon.
It was essentially a tank without a gun.
That was still quite dangerous.
Kyle had been on the internet a lot, and he had seen videos of humans with rifles being run over by tanks.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Kyle struck the beast several tis, switching sides occasionally.
It didn’t manage to get back up, and after around 15 seconds, its movents had transford into convulsions.
Its head had turned into a bloody ss.
Kyle breathed deeply as his anger about his situation left him.
Then, he took a deep breath to calm down.
’Well, at least I have so food now!’ he thought as a smile appeared on his face again.
"Why didn’t you say anything during the battle?" Kyle asked as he approached the corpse.
"My input wasn’t necessary," Theodor answered casually. "While this is an Initial Ferocious Beast, you perfectly counter it. If you couldn’t even kill that, there would be no way that you could ever fulfill my dying wish."
"Mhm," Kyle muttered as he took a bite from the corpse.
’Holy shit! This tastes amazing!’ he thought.
For the next couple of minutes, Kyle kept eating the corpse.
That was when he noticed the three velociraptor things from earlier looking at him from a distance.
’Oh, fuck that!’ he thought as he grew angry again.
He stopped eating and glared at them.
The velociraptor things sniffed the air a bit from a distance, but they didn’t approach.
They just waited.
"They won’t dare to approach," Theodor said. "They counter you. You counter that big armored beast, but the big armored beast counters them."
"They don’t have the power to get through its hide, and if they are not careful, it will trample them."
"You killed sothing they can’t kill, and that makes them scared."
"Also, stop eating the corpse in the open like this. If any beast passes over the canyon, it will imdiately spot you."
Kyle furrowed his brows. "Then, how am I supposed to eat it?"
"Wait!" Kyle said before Theodor could say anything.
"I got an idea!"
