Yes, it sounded strange that one could double the mass of sothing without increasing the weight, but that was what made Ether so magical.
Due to the addition of temporary mass, the hamr could not only unleash more power but also beca much denser and harder.
With all three Enchantnts active, Kyle's offensive power was boosted a lot.

"I'm not sure," Kyle said.
"Are you going to go regardless?" Theodor asked.
"Yes," Kyle answered after a sigh.
"Good."
"That's how it's supposed to be."
