Kyle made the weirdest creations over the next years.
For example, he made floating tal.
Other tis, he made a ball of tal that just fucked off and flew into the distance without his control.
He even made a bootleg version of Yin-Wind.
He also made a bootleg version of Yin-tal. The only real difference was that it didn't pass through matter. It simply exploded into blades of wind as soon as it hit sothing that wasn't wind.
Kinda reminded him of Skysand as well.
'You know, I think I get why Complex Laws are more like your personal Laws compared to Pure Laws. So of these creations are actually quite useful when scaled up. I could make tal-wind bombs or make Deep-Wind-At-Ho.'
Yet, despite all the different kinds of tal-wind Kyle had made, he wasn't happy with any of them.
He already had sothing in mind that he wanted, and he wanted to know if he could make that.
'When I made the tal-fire, I didn't have sothing in mind that I wanted. I just randomly got sothing that I liked. I wanna know if I can actually reverse the process. What if I have sothing in mind already and want to create sothing that is like it?'
'I an, I already have the concept of a teor in my mind, and I wanna see if that also works. Would suck if this entire teor thing didn't work.'
Kyle kept experinting.
While he did so, the first new Transcendent erged from one of the four new powers.
That imdiately led to the capitulation of the closest neighbor.
The new Transcendent wanted to conquer the other two powers as well, but then, they ca face to face with the very thing that made this impossible.
Karma.
They had already entered the first level of Karmic Punishnt by killing the elites of the other power, and they realized that they couldn't get as involved anymore.
Even more, the other two powers allied against them.
Seems like it's not that easy to conquer the world.
Five years after Kyle started experinting with tal-wind, he made a breakthrough.
He actually managed to create sothing very similar to what he had envisioned.
'Huh, so, it actually works,' he thought as he looked at the floating ball of tal.
The ball of tal was quite hard and heavy, but it still floated.
Kyle flicked the ball.
BANG!
It shot into the distance.
Surprisingly, as it kept advancing, it started to speed up instead of slowing down.
It was absorbing the Wind Ether around it and adding its power to its own montum. The ball beca more aerodynamic as it advanced until it turned into a long, thin needle.
Eventually, it hit a mountain in the distance.
It burrowed deep into the mountain until it eventually stopped.
Kyle hadn't used a lot of Ether, and he hadn't refined the wind-tal yet, which was why it wasn't so destructive.
However, if he scaled it up, it could beco a terrifying weapon.
'I can create a trendous storm with my Wind Ether since it simply absorbs more Wind Ether. However, the Wind Ether is not concentrated or hard.'
'But this thing can do the sa thing while also being sharp, focused, and heavy.'
'I wanted it to be round, but hey, sharp is also fine.'
'If I use this as a base for a teor, it could be pretty devastating.'
'This is good enough,' Kyle thought with a smile.
When Kyle had created this kind of wind-tal, he had felt quite accomplished.
Potentially, if scaled up, this thing had the potential to boost his power significantly.
This was another potential Complex Level One Law.
'Well, ti for the next one. Fire and wind. Up until now, I have combined solid and ethereal kinds of Ether. This will be a combination of two ethereal kinds of Ether.'
'Wonder how that differs.'
Kyle imdiately continued experinting.
Yet, after just three months, he realized sothing.
'There's not as much creativity for this kind of fusion. Both of them have similar properties. This doesn't feel like I'm creating a new kind of thing but simply pushing sliders around.'
'The fusion is also much easier since they are extrely compatible.'
After just two years of experinting, Kyle had created several interesting combinations.
In the end, he narrowed the creations down to two.
Kyle launched an arrow of Wind and Fire Ether forward.
Near the beginning, the arrow was extrely hot.
A mont later, it suddenly cooled down significantly.
Yet, in exchange, the arrow beca over five tis faster.
The heat had been transford into kinetic energy.
Then, Kyle launched another arrow.
This one also started out hot and moved at a lot of speed, but then, it suddenly stopped and heated up even more.
BANG!
And exploded.
All the kinetic energy had been converted to heat.
'I don't like how I can only have one of the two. I want both of them at the sa ti.'
'Every ti I use this, I have to decide what kind of effect I want. It would be way better if I could make the arrow faster in the beginning and then make it explode with even more power. After all, it would also have more montum.'
'But it just doesn't work like that. No matter how hard I try, it doesn't work. I an, it also makes sense. Either of those two effects would already make a good Complex Level One Law. If it could do both at the sa ti, it would be more powerful than any of the other fusions I made.'
'Two Elents can only have so much power.'
'Well, what if we include a third?' he thought as he scratched the back of his head.
'Maybe I can use tal as so form of connection? Like, what if the Wind Ether absorbs half the tal to make more kinetic energy, and the other half vanishes to make it hotter? Then, I just let the Fire Ether consu all the Wind Ether and detonate.'
'Oh boy, that sounds complicated.'
'Although, maybe there's sothing else that I can do?'
Kyle started thinking about how to combine his three Elents.
'I'm already getting so ideas.'
'I think I can sowhat see what my Law of the teor will look like.'
'If that actually works out, this thing will make my power explode.'
Kyle took a deep breath before sighing.
'Well, ti for the hardest and most exhausting part of my work.'
'Gotta combine three Elents now.'
'This is going to take foreeeeeeever.'
