'I have the weakest Montum. That's kinda crazy,' Kyle thought. 'Seems like I was left behind by them. Well, at least when it cos to Montum.'

Even though Kyle's instincts told him that he was the weakest in the group, he knew that was just the effect of Montum.

In truth, there was no doubt that Kyle was the strongest.

The addition of a Personal Law and the fact that he beca a Legendary Primal before advancing was just too big of an advantage.

As Kyle listened to their stories as World Defenders, he understood how their Montum could beco so strong.

Naturally, the Cult also needed to improve the Montum of their followers, and they mostly did that by attacking random Planet Systems that belonged to powers subservient to stronger Organizations.

There was a bit of an agreent between the two sides regarding what they would send. Of course, the agreent was not really binding, and no side had formally acknowledged the agreent. It was much more of a logical progression.

Both sides wanted to improve the Montum of their mbers, but both sides also wanted to eradicate each other.

During these battles, powerful mbers of both sides would be watching the battle. One had to rember that one needed to be in the tenth Realm to send soone across Dinsions.

This ant that the Cult of Final Fate always had soone in the tenth Realm overlooking the battle.

If the Cult sent people in the fifth Realm to attack a Planet System, the Array of Stars could theoretically send people in the sixth or seventh Realm to quickly deal with them.

However, this put these people at risk since the person in the tenth Realm might beco active. There was also a chance that the Cult would simply send people in the eighth Realm to kill the people in the sixth or seventh Realms.

One escalation would provoke a further escalation, and no side wanted that.

Because of that, they simply sent people of relatively equal power.

Yet, there were still tis during which the conflict actually escalated, and that was where Kyle's team got the really big boosts of Montum.

Star Genesis and Swamp Dragon had been attacked more than once by Crushers, and the only thing they had been able to do was to survive until reinforcents arrived.

In these cases, it was not about winning but about surviving.

These instances were extrely dangerous and desperate, which did wonders for their Montum.

As for Manny's Montum, it was just a bit stronger than Kyle's. He had simply gone as far as he needed to beco a Unique Primal. The fact that his Montum was stronger was simply because his last True Battle had shot him a bit over the finish line, while Kyle was essentially on the finish line.

After everyone talked for a while longer, they finally ca to the topic of jobs.

"Hey, before we talk about our jobs, I wanna know sothing," Kyle said.

The others looked at him.

"Does everyone know the Law of Mind?" he asked. "I think that's important to note."

"We all know it," Swamp Dragon answered.

"Good," Kyle comnted. "So, we can choose a job that doesn't co with long periods of free ti. Would suck if one of us wouldn't be able to comprehend any Laws because they had to leave their Law Comprehension every five years or so."

"That is a possibility," Star Genesis said. "We should keep that in mind while choosing. As far as I can see, our team is outstanding, even inside the Array of Stars. We should take a job that takes advantage of our power."

Kyle nodded with a smile. "I agree. Anyway, has anyone actually already looked at the jobs?"

"We can't," Manny said. "We need the entire team to see our available jobs."

"Sure, then, wanna take a look?" Kyle asked.

The others looked at each other and nodded.

The team left Swamp Dragon's room and went to the central console.

They could do almost everything they wanted on their Communicators, but for so things, they still needed to go to the central console.

The central console was the sa device Kyle had used when he had chosen his first jobs in the Array of Stars.

When everyone arrived, they identified themselves to the console, and monts later, a list of jobs appeared.

Surprisingly, there were no solo jobs this ti around.

'Team Defenders,' Kyle read. 'Huh, I didn't know that we were also defending territories via team battles, but I guess it makes sense. Oh, that's interesting. They are not choosing opponents based on Realm but on relative age inside the Realm.'

Assuming soone took full advantage of their longevity, a Crusher could reach an age of 10,000 years. 1,000 years as a Transcendent, an additional 2,000 years as a Primal, and another 7,000 years as a Crusher.

However, the age rule only counted the years one had spent in the Compression Realm.

There were seven brackets, divided into 1,000-year incrents.

'This would definitely take advantage of our power,' Kyle thought. 'The paynt is also very good, and we get a lot of ti for our comprehension.'

'Sadly, there are a couple of issues.'

'First of all, the fights are 3v3, 5v5, and 10v10. There's no 4v4. Sure, we could go with 3v3, but we would need to swap our teammates.'

'Additionally, this puts us right in front of our rivals. If we keep winning, they will notice that our team is very powerful, and they will try to assassinate us more often. Going outside would be difficult.'

'Lastly, this might help my team's Montum but not mine. If I unveil that I have a Personal Law, they will do their absolute best to kill , which ans I have to keep it secret. However, if I can't fight with my full power, I can't really increase my Montum since I won't actually be in danger.'

Kyle ignored the first job and looked at the next.

'Trial Scout?' Kyle thought as he saw the next job. 'That's… actually pretty crazy! People pay an exorbitant fee to enter Artificial and Natural Trials, and we would get to enter these things while also being paid?'

The job of a Trial Scout was to enter Artificial and Natural Trials.

The Trial Scout would not have the freedom to choose which Trial they would enter, and their duties varied based on what kind of Trial they were sent to.

The Array of Stars had incredibly powerful people in their Organization, and these people could see through all kinds of cloaking Formation Arrays of Artificial Trials.

A Trial Scout was sent to an Artificial Trial whenever there was sothing of significant value in an Artificial Trial. It was the Trial Scout's job to enter the Artificial Trial and to retrieve these valuables for the Array of Stars.

However, Trial Scouts were also sotis sent to Natural Trials. That was when the scouting portion of their job would beco relevant.

The Array of Stars needed to know the details of a Natural Trial to give it an accurate rating and price.

How many levels did it have?

Were the trials basic, which ant only fights, or were they more complex?

Were the rewards simply valuables, or did they also include unique treasures?

Did the trials allow an entire team to take them together, or would they be split?

What effects did that have on the rewards?

'This job is definitely a contender,' Kyle thought. 'There's a big chance that we might accept this one.'
