Kyle took a deep breath.

Naturally, he was most interested in the last option. Knowing how to use Death to learn Laws more efficiently would save a ton of ti.

However, the dangers were also very real. He would need to keep this power secret from everybody. The worst part was that he couldn't be sure if he was being watched or not. What if he focused on Law Comprehension for a couple of centuries, and so random Ascendant just so happened to move through the area?

He had no control over the movent of so powerful Seekers, and he also didn't have the ability to sense them or isolate their senses.

This was the most significant danger. The other ones were not so bad since they were mostly within his control.

“How much Death is in your Blessing?” Kyle asked. “How much of it can I use before it gets too dangerous?”

“There’s a significant amount of Death in the Blessing,” the Lord said. “As long as you use it sparingly, it should help with your Law Comprehension for around 10,000 years. If you want more, you have to co back to Orchis.”

*Going back to Orchis is almost impossible,* Kyle thought. *The Communicator from the Array of Stars can track where I am. Even more, I have to travel to the Hell Dinsion.*

“Is there really no way for to create Death myself?” Kyle asked.

“Realistically, no,” the Lord said. “There are always ways, but that doesn’t an that you have access to these ways.”

“What ways are there?” Kyle asked. “I know that I probably can’t use them, but I still want to know.”

The Lord furrowed his brows. “One way is to leave the Cosmos and enter the Primordial Chaos. However, not even the Emperor of the Contrast Empire would survive in the Primordial Chaos for a second.”

Kyle’s eyes widened. “Wait, what? The Primordial Chaos is that dangerous?”

“The other way is to comprehend a Law related to Death,” the Lord said.

“Wait, there are Laws about Death?” Kyle asked. “Didn’t you say Laws are also just Energy?”

“These are different,” the Lord said. “There are not many. In fact, there are only two, as far as I know.”

“How can I comprehend them?” Kyle asked.

The Lord shook his head. “I only know how to comprehend the Minor Law of Death, and it’s the very reason why I can grant Death to our mbers. Technically, you could comprehend it, but I don’t believe you’re willing to pay the price.”

“What price?” Kyle asked with interest. He was willing to pay a lot for such a powerful Law.

“You have to eradicate a world,” the Lord said coldly.

“Eradicate a world? Like, destroy it?” Kyle asked.

“The absence of life in a space that is supposed to harbor life,” the Lord said.

“Destroying a world represents destroying a vessel and its content. In order to comprehend the Minor Law of Death, you need to witness an empty vessel, but it only truly works if you are responsible for the vessel’s emptiness.”

“A world—Tertiary, Secondary, or Primary—needs to exist while being devoid of life. No humans, no beasts, no plants. Nothing. A dead world.”

Kyle scratched the back of his head. “Can’t I just look at a dead world?”

The Lord slowly shook his head. “This is not about knowing, but about feeling. You haven’t seen the world when it was alive.”

“You haven’t seen it when Seekers road the world to find treasures while fighting beasts. You haven’t seen the calm and peaceful forests. You haven’t seen the rains and the mountains filled with threats.”

“You need to have been there. If you really want to succeed, you need to be the one who eradicates all life.”

As Kyle listened, he was reminded of the ti he had beco the Overseer of the Tertiary World. Back then, the Red Witch had commanded him to kill millions of people.

However, if Kyle wanted to learn the Minor Law of Death, he would have to go even further.

He would have needed to kill everyone.

Seekers. Mortals. Children. Beasts. Animals. Plants…

Kyle could only sigh. “I don’t think I can do that. I an, I probably have the power, but I simply don’t want to. These people haven’t done anything to . Even if all of the most powerful Organizations band together to kill for so reason, how could I possibly justify killing all the mortals in all the different villages?”

The image of Swamp Dragon shot through Kyle’s mind. *I wouldn’t be able to look into his eyes anymore. I would just feel too ashad.*

“Thank you for telling ,” Kyle said with another sigh.

The Lord could see that Kyle wouldn’t do sothing like that, and he wasn’t surprised.

While Kyle was a mber of the Cult of Final Fate, he was also a mber of this Cosmos. Kyle was a Parasite, and Parasites were supposed to sympathize with the inhabitants of this Cosmos. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be good infiltrators and spies.

Other mbers of the Cult didn’t have these sympathies. They lived in the Hell Dinsion, and they regularly saw “their own people.” They saw the different kind of life that was the fusion of Energy and Death.

If a Seeker were to see a world of shadow, which was governed by bloodthirsty shades that chaotically fought each other to beco stronger, they also wouldn’t feel any sympathy in most cases. These lifeforms were alien, wrong, vile, and strange. Eradicating such a world would be a good thing.

Most mbers of the Cult saw the Cosmos and its inhabitants in such a way. Lifeforms made of Energy abhorred Death. They had an instinctual and deep-seated hatred for it.

However, the sa thing was true the other way around. Since many mbers of the Cult were partially comprised of Death, they felt disgust towards pure Energy.

They wouldn’t have an issue with systematically eradicating all life in a world.

It would be like getting rid of an ant nest inside the walls of one’s ho.

With all of that said, Kyle still needed to find a way to comprehend his Complex Law in ti.

*It’s basically this or nothing,* he thought. *If I don’t accept the Cult’s help, I will almost certainly fail. If I remain, I will die. If I leave, I will survive, but I will probably not be able to beco a Legendary Crusher.*

Kyle went through the options again in his head.

Then, he sighed. *Let’s be real, I already know what I will choose. Better to have sothing and not need it than not have sothing and need it.*

“I’m choosing the last option,” Kyle said. “I want to use Death to supplent my comprehension.”

The Lord nodded. “I will not tell you what you should do. The choice is your own. I will only ask for confirmation once. Are you certain you want this?”

Kyle took a deep breath and nodded. “Yes.”

“Fine,” the Lord said. “Then, listen carefully.”
