The Unique Sage looked at Kyle's team. "The world you have co from has many powers. Sects, Companies, Guilds, Nations..."
"This is not the case in Ayuvar. This is not a world in which humans wage war with each other. You may believe that Humanity is just one Organization. That is not true."
"Humanity is unified. We do not war with each other. We can't. If we kill each other, the Demons will overwhelm us. The Demons are unified, and if Humanity isn't unified, we will die."
Kyle wasn't sure if things were really this simple. 'This sounds way too one-sided. I feel like I need to listen to the other side first. I an, what if these so-called Demons are just a different nation? Also, I've never heard of Demons before.'
"What are these Demons?" Star Genesis asked.
"Ungodly beasts," the Unique Sage said. "You may call them beasts, but they are not truly beasts. Their bodies are unlike the bodies of normal beasts. Their powers are unlike the powers of normal beasts. Their minds are intelligent. They create weapons and use them skillfully in battle."
Except for the last part...
That sounded familiar to Kyle.
Kyle glanced at Swamp Dragon, who glanced back. 'Are they talking about Divine Beasts?' Kyle asked.
'I suspected the sa thing,' Swamp Dragon transmitted, 'but I've never heard of Divine Beasts that can make weapons.'
'We shouldn't jump to conclusions,' Manny transmitted. 'Divine Beasts only exist in the Supre World, and they only exist in the Beast and the Immortal Dinsions. Divine Beasts do not exist in lower worlds. One Divine Beast could break the equilibrium of a lower world.'
'What if a normal beast beca a Divine Beast?' Kyle asked.
'Unlikely,' Manny answered. 'Divine Beasts that appear in a Primary World are imdiately killed by the world's defenses.'
'And you think those defenses are rock solid?' Kyle asked. 'Just like the Laws of Karmic Luck?'
Manny furrowed his brows, a rare display of seriousness.
'Maybe there's a way to fool these defenses, but I can't think of one,' Manny answered.
"Enough talk," the Unique Sage said. "There are still two people left. Next battle."
Star Genesis returned to the others, while Kyle and Sebastian looked at each other.
In the end, Sebastian stepped into the arena. He would be fighting without his Elental for now. Sebastian's Elental was their ace in the hole. They wanted to keep it secret in case sothing unforeseen happened.
Sebastian carried an orb in his hands, and the grey soldier facing him carried a similar orb.
Without his Elental, Sebastian was about as powerful as Manny and Star Genesis, but with his Elental, he would be even stronger than Kyle.
The Barrier Formation Array activated and—
BANG!
A brutal shockwave of Lightning Energy warped the space inside the arena. Dense lightning exploded around Sebastian as he shot forward.
A bolt of lightning.
50% of Sebastian's Center emptied.
Unreasonable speed.
A burst of power.
BOOOM!
The Barrier Formation Array blocked Sebastian's strike.
The half-ford tallic stone dispersed.
At this mont, Sebastian stood in front of his opponent, a lance of lightning in his hands.
Kyle's brows rose. 'That was pretty fucking fast. He's even faster than .'
"You have earned your divinity with your power," the Unique Sage said.
Yet, compared to the last couple of battles, the Unique Sage didn't say a lot. That was because Sebastian hadn't shown any surprising or valuable skills.
He hadn't shown a Battle Rite, an Imposing Law, Formation Arrays, or an Infused Mind Law.
He was just very strong.
"Last battle," the Unique Sage said.
Sebastian walked back, while Kyle walked forward.
"Don't show your Infused Mind or Soul Laws," Star Genesis transmitted.
"I agree," Manny added. "Two Infused Mind Laws might be too much, and we don't know how they will react to Infused Soul Laws. Your Infused Soul Law is one of our aces. We shouldn't show it easily. You should be impressive, but you shouldn't stand out too much."
Kyle scratched the back of his head. "Sure. If you say so."
After entering the arena, Kyle reached his weapon. His chosen opponent pulled out a two-handed mace.
At the sa ti, Kyle also glanced at the Unique Sage, who emotionlessly watched the battle.
'There's no way he hasn't noticed my True Sin Aura by now. Yet, he acts like it doesn't exist. I guess my True Sin Aura is not an issue here.'
The Barrier Formation Array activated, and the opponent readied his Battle Rite.
A gigantic mace appeared above, had a tallic sheen and waves, showing that it was a Refined Law. That used parts of the Law of Gravity tal. At the sa ti, the opponent used his Montum to suppress Kyle.
To keep his Infused Mind Law secret, Kyle only allowed his Montum to cover his mind. This gave him protection against the opponent's Montum without influencing them.
Kyle watched the approaching mace as he used his Law of Hamr.
5% of his Energy went into his hamr. Sadly, his Law of Hamr wasn't advanced enough. Otherwise, he would be able to use more Energy.
It was important to highlight that Imposing Laws could improve in two ways. One was an improvent in quality, which increased the maximum amount of Energy one could use with one activation, relative to their total storage. When Kyle had just condensed his Law of Hamr, he could use up to 50% of his Energy. Right now, he could use up to 60% of his Energy. After all, he had improved the quality of his Law of Hamr in the Secondary Sector.
The other way to improve an Imposing Law was its level. This dictated the maximum total amount of Energy it could use. The Battle Rites the opponents used were more advanced, which ant they had a higher level, but in terms of quality, they were weaker than Kyle's Law of Hamr.
However, improving quality was harder than improving an Imposing Law's level.
'This guy probably didn't even make his own Imposing Law,' Kyle thought as he looked at the approaching mace. 'So kind of powerful Spirit Lord or Ascendant probably made this. Still, crazy to think that you can just copy soone else's Refined Law, which contains their Imposing Law.'
'Anyway,' Kyle thought as he readied his hamr.
His hamr swung forward.
BOOOOM!
The illusory mace broke into pieces as Kyle's body vibrated. A normal Seeker's body would have exploded from the backlash, but Kyle had an Infused Body Law. Because of that, he only received the tiniest and most insignificant injuries. Healing himself didn't even consu 0.1% of his Biological Energy.
On top of that, Kyle didn't even use any of his Energy. Sure, he had invested 5% of his Energy to activate his Law of Hamr, but his hamr didn't break. All of his Energy was still there.
When Kyle had said that he needed to use more Energy to achieve the sa destructive effect as a grey soldier's Battle Rite, he was referring to his illusory hamr. If he just used his illusory hamr, he would need to use more Energy. However, he wasn't using his illusory hamr. He was using his actual hamr, which was several tis stronger.
Then, Kyle just waited, watching the opponent activate their Battle Rite again.
BANG!
Kyle broke it again.
A third Battle Rite.
Kyle broke it.
A fourth.
Broken.
A fifth, which was launched with the Energy recovered after using four Battle Rites.
Kyle broke it.
Kyle just glanced at the Unique Sage, who just looked forward, waiting for the end of the battle.
"You can just call it, you know?" Kyle thought before looking at his opponent, who was out of Energy.
The next mont, Kyle summoned an illusory hamr behind the opponent, and the Barrier Formation Array blocked it.
The fight was over.
Kyle looked at the Unique Sage, waiting for his comnt.
