Li Mingli said, "Now do you believe he’s the real Monkey King?"
Xue Shentian shook his head, muttering, ’I don’t! It’s so realistic it seems even more fake. It even has BGM. How could it be real?’
At this very mont, high in the sky, Wang Yi led nine Monkey Kings and one hundred thousand Celestial Soldiers in pursuit of the Source Body’s remnants, all to the sound of stirring music.
Wang Yi had, of course, also received the system notification and knew that Jiya had a second form.
"So what if she has a second form? Great Saints, Celestial Soldiers, obliterate her for !"
Wang Yi roared. The one hundred thousand Celestial Soldiers didn’t react strongly; they just stood on the clouds, following in pursuit. But the nine Celestial God Level Monkey Kings moved swiftly, using Cloud Stepping Flight to catch up to the falling remnants of the Source Body and continue their ferocious assault.
The Celestial God Level Monkey Kings could do more than just use physical attacks. Their attacks now had magical variations. They could grow in size, and their Golden Cudgels could beco longer and thicker, their attack power clearly receiving a massive boost.
anwhile, Wang Bushi would occasionally flash into existence beside Wang Yi, each appearance a resurrection. He couldn’t fly, so as soon as he revived, he would imdiately launch a Rushing Headbutt at Jiya, like a tracking missile or a Celestial Fire teor.
Soon, before Jiya’s remains could hit the ground, they were blasted apart in mid-air, scattering into a shower of starlight.
Within the starlight, a ball of light and a golden Treasure Chest appeared, rapidly falling toward the earth.
"Loot drop!"
Wang Yi’s eyes lit up. Using Ultimate Seventh Gear’s Fantasy Avatar, he had gained the ability to fly. He now accelerated forward, raised his arm, and his Starlight Bracelet projected a cone of light like a Flashlight.
The beam of light enveloped the ball of light and the golden Treasure Chest, instantly collecting the chest. The ball of light, however, couldn’t be collected and fell to the earth like a teorite.
BOOM!
The ground shook and caved in. Soil churned outward, and a ring-shaped shockwave erupted. The surrounding ruined buildings, as if made of ash, shattered and scattered in the blast. A few Players were killed on the spot by the shockwave.
In the blink of an eye, a crater a hundred ters in diater appeared in the ground.
The center of the crater was dozens of feet deep. The ball of light writhed within it like a seed, quickly sprouting and taking root, growing at an astonishing speed.
Like a Celestial Fire teor, Wang Bushi descended from the sky and slamd headfirst into the ball of light, dying on impact. A furious bloom of flas erupted, and a kiloter-long spear manifested, piercing the earth.
The nine Monkey Kings landed right after, spreading out in all directions and swinging their cudgels at the center of the crater.
The ground trembled and dust billowed. Suddenly, a giant purple vine appeared. The vine was like a colossal purple python, dotted with twinkling points of light and shrouded in a starlit mist. It shot toward the sky, swelling violently and growing dozens of ters tall in the blink of an eye.
Then, at the base of the vine, sothing like a fleshy tumor bulged out, pulsing and expanding rapidly.
At the top of the vine was a huge flower bud, which looked like a python opening its mouth, seemingly about to bloom.
Evidently, this Starlight Vine had grown from the seed-like ball of light.
"HERE’S A HEADBUTT!"
Wang Bushi yelled as he plunged headfirst into the half-open flower bud. With a massive BOOM, a huge Flaming Spear erupted, completely destroying the bud and kicking up a cloud of starlit mist.
The Starlight Vine, like a grievously wounded serpent, writhed madly. At the sa ti, it was also rapidly growing and enlarging. On its destroyed top, another flower bud visibly began to bulge out.
"So eager to bloom? I’m not about to let you. Die!"
Wang Yi let out a short cry, and the nine Monkey Kings imdiately responded. They spread out around the giant vine, and the Golden Cudgels in their hands suddenly grew to a hundred feet long. Thicker at the front and thinner at the back, they looked like nine colossal mallets, which they began to smash down on the massive vine in the center.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM...
The ground quaked and sank downward. Each strike from the Great Saints created a shockwave, as if they were trying to shatter the very earth, kicking up dust that filled the air in all directions.
The dilapidated buildings in the surrounding city ruins shook in tandem, the less sturdy ones quickly collapsing.
The Starlight Vine was being hamred so hard it couldn’t even "lift its head." The flower buds couldn’t form at all. Its trunk cracked and shattered, sending fragnts flying and fleshy tumors splattering, as if it were about to be reduced to a pile of pulpy flesh.
Like a Celestial Fire teor, Wang Bushi crashed into that pile of pulpy flesh. With a thunderous BOOM, flas exploded, blasting a 20-ter-diater hole straight through it...
’It’s still not dead after an attack like that? Let’s see how long you can last!’
Wang Yi hadn’t heard a system notification, so he didn’t stop. He had the nine Great Saints and Wang Bushi continue their assault. Then, he looked up at the sky and shouted, "One Hundred Thousand Celestial Soldiers, Four Heavenly Kings, attack!"
The one hundred thousand Celestial Soldiers were a dignified bunch. They were all about pomp and circumstance, about formation. First, they had to fill the entire sky.
Only after rolling clouds filled the sky, obscuring the sun for several miles around, did they uniformly raise their spears and other weapons from upon the clouds. They summoned one hundred thousand bolts of Celestial Thunder, focusing their fire from the sky that stretched for miles.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM...
One hundred thousand bolts of Celestial Thunder concentrated on a single spot. Plasma surged like a river of lightning, forming a blinding Thunder Pool that filled the entire crater on the ground.
The attack was terrifyingly powerful.
The nine Great Saints all avoided the brunt of the attack, retreating over a hundred ters away.
The Four Heavenly Kings were an even more dignified bunch. They had no true physical form and were just illusions of light and shadow, but they were incredibly realistic. They slowly approached from four directions, their bodies not as massive as before, but still towering between heaven and earth.
The one hundred thousand bolts of Celestial Thunder had already begun their bombardnt, yet the Four Heavenly Kings only stopped over a thousand ters from the massive crater. They posed for more than ten seconds before finally making their move. The sound of a pipa rang out, the Cyan Cloud Giant Sword shot through the air, the Mixed Treasure Umbrella opened, and a Red Dragon coiled around it, breathing fire.
But in Wang Yi’s perception, these four guys were basically just speakers. As they got closer, the battle’s background music just grew louder and more soul-shaking.
The iconic lody of the Cloud Palace Swift Tune began to play, its electronic rhythms echoing in full surround sound between heaven and earth.
Fantasy Avatar. Everything was perfectly in line with what Wang Yi had imagined.
The Players watching the battle through the Tower of Suffering were all shocked speechless. Down in the ruins of Wei City, so of the Players experiencing it firsthand felt as if their very souls were about to shatter!
"Damn it, there’s even BGM! This is too ridiculous!"
"I thought Qiao Feng carrying a boombox was the most unbeatable thing ever, but compared to the Great Saint’s sound system, he’s nothing!"
"Qiao Feng’s BGM versus the Great Saint’s BGM... it’s really the difference between wuxia and mythology. They’re not even on the sa level!"
"Jiya is so screwed. She could have provoked anyone, but she had to provoke the Monkey King!"
"She’s definitely never read Journey to the West!"
"Despair, this is true despair! There’s no escape, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!"
"I kneel!"
Those Players felt that this scene, this spectacle, was sothing they had to watch on their knees, even if it ant being killed by the aftershocks of the battle.
Just then, another world announcent rang out.
"World Announcent: The King Incarnation, Golden Lion King, has joined the battle."
Along with the world announcent, a golden lion charged onto the battlefield. It looked as if it were cast from gold, stood over a hundred feet tall, and had an astonishing presence.
This King Incarnation was different from the others. It didn’t have any Wood Knot structures on its body at all. It seed to be a creature of pure gold, looking both magnificent and majestic. It charged rapidly toward the crater that had beco a Thunder Pool, intending to protect Jiya and help her transform!
But a Celestial Fire teor locked onto it. Wang Bushi descended from the sky and slamd headfirst into its forehead, dying on impact. The force of the blow made its neck retract, followed by a trendous BOOM! The Spear of Destruction detonated, and flas shot out five hundred ters from the point of impact, instantly blasting half of the Golden Lion King’s head into nothingness.
Then, nine giant cudgels ca smashing down at the sa ti. They were the lengthened and thickened Ruyi Golden Cudgels of the nine Monkey Kings.
With a thunderous BOOM.
The Golden Lion King was blasted into smithereens, dropping two books.
"World Announcent: The King Incarnation, Golden Lion King, has been slain. Its Eco-Power will be sacrificed to Jiya to help her complete her transformation."
Following the system notification, the fragnts of the Golden Lion King’s body quickly transford into countless golden moths, each the size of a water buffalo. Like moths to a fla, they swiftly dove into the Thunder Pool ford by the one hundred thousand bolts of Celestial Thunder, as if willingly embracing death.
At that mont, a large number of Sufferers obtained landing anchors. They chose to descend and beca the controllers of those golden moths.
With Sufferers in control, they wouldn’t just stupidly sacrifice themselves for Jiya. One of the moths actually flew high into the sky, lunging toward Wang Yi.
’Courting death!’
Wang Yi snorted. He pointed a finger at the golden moth and used Soul Summoning to bring Ji Liangren over.
Ji Liangren appeared in mid-air. He reacted instantly, and with a POOF, he transford into a flying, black-furred, large dog. With a BARK, he activated Dog Head Divine Stab and pounced on the golden moth.
"Xiaotian, help collect the loot on the ground and guard against any trouble from the Sufferers!"
Wang Yi shouted.
Just then, the world announcent appeared again: "The King Incarnation, Dark Dharma King, has joined the battle!"
