Max thought for a bit.
Joining the Talisman Hall seed to be quite beneficial, but... he couldn’t make a hasty decision.
Lord Grimheart was his enemy, after all. What if the hall master of the Talisman Hall or so high ranking mber turned out to be his person? Wouldn’t they cause trouble for him?
Therefore, he said, "Give so ti to think. Then, I’ll get back to you if it’s alright with you."
"Of course, it’s no problem." Ryuna said with a smile, but then she asked, "Though approximately how much ti would you need to think things through?"
’She would make a very good saleswoman indeed.’ Max thought wryly.
"I’ll contact you tomorrow and give you my answer." he said and extended his hand.
Ryuna stared at his hand and blinked in confusion.
’Well, maybe I was too hasty in my assessnt of her.’ he sighed and said, "Your communication crystal. Give it to ."
"Ahh, I see." Ryuna exclaid and quickly nodded her head. Then, just as it seed she was about to access her storage ring and take out a communication crystal, she took her Identity Badge hanging by her waist instead.
"Wouldn’t it be better to use our Identity Badges for communication?." she said and proffered her badge.
Max stared at her for a mont, then took her badge and added his contact information before handing it back to her.
Ryuna’s smile widened.
In case he threw her communication crystal away, she would have no way to communicate with him. It wasn’t easy for Inner Hall disciples to go into the Core Hall where he was living, after all.
However, once she got his contact information, she could always remain in touch with him unless he lost his badge. Of course, the chances were that he could block her on the badge, but which mature person did that in this day and age if the other person wasn’t bothering him too much?

Max went to the receptionist, gave her the booklet and mory crystal along with his Identity Badge.
After a short while, she handed them back to him, saying, "Mr. Maxwell, since it’s your first ti in the library, you can have these two for free. You also use a comprehension room for 2 hours. Would you like to use it now or later?"
"I’ll use it a while later. Thank you." said Max before finding a comparatively secluded spot where so disciples were sitting cross-legged, studying their spells.
He sat down there and regulated his breathing to enhance his focus. Then, opening the booklet, he began reading it.
The booklet was thin and at a glance, people would think they could easily read it within a few hours.
However... It took Max almost a day before he finished it and found himself ntally drained.
Phew!
He exhaled, closed the booklet and then his eyes to digest everything he read.
As stated in its introduction, the book had all the information one needed to beco a Tier Five Talisman Master along with a talisman making technique called Hoover Technique.
An hour later, he opened his eyes.
’Now I only need to apply everything I learned and practice until I beco a Talisman Master.’ he thought. Then, he glanced at the mory crystal. ’Let’s rest for a bit first.’
While resting, after thinking for a while, he sent Elder Milo a ssage, telling him his decision to beco a Talisman Master. Then he told him about the invitation he received and asked whether it would be a good decision to join the Talisman Hall.
An hour later, he received Elder Milo’s reply.
[You can join it, but be careful of people from the Inner Hall Master’s faction.]
This response made Max raise his brows.
Shouldn’t he advise him not to join since there were people from Lord Grimheart’s faction there?
But then he realized that the chances were his people were everywhere in the Beast Emperor Hall. So, he couldn’t possibly avoid them all. Thus, he could only be careful.
Putting away his communication crystal, he grabbed the mory crystal and slowly injected his Bloodline Sense into it.
For a while, he only saw darkness, but then a silhouette of a faint blue rune appeared before him, faintly glowing with flickering arcs of thunder.
He focused completely on it, but while it grew clearer in his mind, it was completely incomprehensible to him.
As ti passed, his head began to ache. After a while, the headache beca too intense and he had to pull his Bloodline Sense out of the crystal and ditate to recover his ntal energy which helped with the headache.
’Let’s see how useful the comprehension room is.’ he thought.
After telling the receptionist that he was to avail his one ti, two hour free comprehension room, she took his Identity Badge and returned it a mont later.
"Just find an unoccupied room and place your badge at the door to enter." she told him.
Max nodded and walked over to the rows of rooms.
To his disappointnt... all the rooms were occupied.
’It seems everyone is working hard to increase their strengths for Elder Blood Flower’s incoming mission.’ he thought and was about to find a place to sit and wait when the door of the room next to him opened.
Imdiately, Max felt dozens of gazes on him. Everyone wanted to enter the room and he was their biggest competition thanks to his proximity.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Before the door even completely opened, several disciples were already rushing over, but Max’s expression didn’t change as he calmly stepped toward the room and stood in front of the opening door.
A mont later, the doors opened and the others were still a bit away.
Smiling lightly, he was about to put his Identity Badge and claim the room, but right then...
Slap!
His hand was slapped away.
Swoosh!
This gave the person nearest to the room opportunity which he took, whoosed over and placed his badge on the door.
"Thanks, brother." The disciple nodded at the man who just walked out of the room and entered it.
Click!
The door clicked shut a mont later.
So of the disappointed disciples returned to their places while others stood where they were and watched Max and the guy who ca out of the room stare down each other with interest.
Heavy silence hung in the air between them.
