"Ah—!" A Bloodsucker mber whose entire body was afla staggered and collapsed, motionless, emitting a burnt stench as black smoke drifted into the eerie forest. The screams drew the attention of other mbers engaged in fierce combat. They looked over, curious and puzzled about who had accomplished this, when Luo Zheng's inquiry ca through via ear, "Everyone, report your status." Everyone quickly guessed it was Luo Zheng's doing and respectfully reported back.
Upon hearing that no one was injured, just a few sniper points exposed, Luo Zheng breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at the mountainside ahead, about thirty to forty people were already hidden behind the trees. The trees at the bottom of the hillside were larger and bullets couldn't penetrate them, forcing everyone to engage in a standoff with limited lethality.
"Bang, bang, bang, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" Countless gunshots fired from behind the large trees at the bottom of the hillside with high precision, making it risky for anyone to easily poke their heads out. Luo Zheng calmly observed for a while and shouted in a low voice, "Don't rush, aim before you shoot."
Everyone agreed, continuing to look for opportunities to strike. Suddenly, Luo Zheng noticed a thick pile of fallen leaves on the ground at the bottom of the hillside. The trees were tall, naturally causing plenty of fallen leaves, plus rain had washed many leaves from the hillside onto the bottom. An idea struck him, and he whispered, "Switch to incendiary bombs, target: fallen leaves under the cliff, set them on fire."
"Understood." Upon hearing this, everyone imdiately understood and switched to incendiary bombs.
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" A dozen people opened fire simultaneously. The incendiary bombs, carrying everyone's hope, whistled through the air, instantly hitting the ground and exploding. Countless flammable agents splattered everywhere, igniting the layer of fallen leaves on the ground. The Bloodsucker mbers hiding nearby saw this and imdiately understood what was happening but dared not rush in to extinguish the fire.
On the battlefield, snipers focus on concealing themselves using the terrain, looking for opportunities to kill their targets. Using snipers like Luo Zheng did, as fire-starters, was rare. This sniping tactic opened everyone's eyes, boosting their morale, and gave them more confidence and anticipation for the upcoming battle.
The fire grew larger, creating black smoke that spread in all directions, connecting more fires to form a blaze. The black smoke intensified; these fallen leaves, having been compressed for a long ti, had ford so thane underground, making the fire even fiercer. Luo Zheng watched the billowing black smoke and smiled. If it was blue or white smoke, it would indicate normal burning, but black smoke indicated that the burning leaves had ford toxic substances for so reason.
The extent of the harm from these toxic substances was unclear at the mont. Luo Zheng decisively shouted through his earpiece, "Attention, the enemy might change their cover. Shoot the mont you find an opportunity, use incendiary bombs."
"Understood." Everyone responded excitedly. Even if they missed the target, hitting the surrounding trees would ignite the area with the explosive flammable agent, feeding the fire.
Just as Luo Zheng had anticipated, the Bloodsucker mbers hiding behind large trees at the bottom of the hillside could not endure the smoke's irritation and launched a swift attack uphill. In the black smoke, it was difficult to aim accurately, but everyone still fired decisively, forcing the Bloodsucker mbers to take cover again.
Luo Zheng didn't shoot but observed the battlefield situation, realizing many Bloodsucker mbers were coughing, their movents becoming stiff. Two Bloodsucker mbers, unknowingly shot by soone, burst into flas, running around screaming, but were quickly shot dead by a fellow Bloodsucker mber with a pistol. Their bodies fell and continued to burn, with the air filled with a pungent burnt stench, adding an eerie presence in the woods.
"Brutal." Luo Zheng saw that the Bloodsuckers would even shoot their own who were hit by incendiary bombs and his expression darkened. If they were that ruthless to their own, they'd be even more so to their enemies. Such people couldn't be judged by normal standards. At this mont, Lan Xue noticed Luo Zheng wasn't commanding and quickly reminded, "The enemy has advanced about fifty ters, switch to regular sniper bullets."
The Bloodsucker mbers had moved out of the fire zone, making it a waste to use incendiary bombs. Everyone switched to regular sniper bullets rapidly. Luo Zheng watched coldly as more people rushed from the valley, covering their faces with sothing as they charged through the black smoke, fiercely.
"Heavy machine gun?!" Luo Zheng saw the weapons these people were carrying and his face changed dramatically. He quickly warned, "It's a heavy machine gun, likely with RPGs. Everyone, be careful, don't fire easily unless confident. Change positions imdiately after shooting, snipe freely."
"Understood." Everyone replied in unison.
Luo Zheng reloaded his bullets, noticing soone entering the trap area, alerting him. Soon, this person discovered the thin wire on the ground, crouched behind a large tree to disarm it. Luo Zheng quickly aid at a nearby concealed grenade.
At a distance of two hundred ters, with good visibility and a wind speed of 2, there was no pressure for Luo Zheng. He focused, calmly aiming at the grenade, waiting for the right mont. Soon, the opponent dismantled the wire, lifting the grenade from the shrubs while gesturing to those behind.
Seeing safety, the ones behind swiftly advanced five to six ters forward. Luo Zheng saw this, smirked coldly, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.
"Swoosh!" The sniper rifle fired, the casing ejecting from the chamber with a crisp sound, falling to the ground beside him, emitting blue smoke. The sniper bullet soared away, producing a terrifying sonic boom, tracing a bizarre shockwave that struck the grenade forcibly.
"Boom!" The grenade, struck and compressed by the high-velocity shockwave, exploded. Shrapnel flew in all directions, accompanied by the bullets stacked atop it, instantly resembling fireworks. Innurable bullets flew haphazardly, striking the surrounding large trees and so penetrating the bodies of hidden individuals behind them, creating an extraordinarily explosive scene.
Everyone laughed at the sight of bullets flying everywhere. Combining sniping with explosive tactics this way was not sothing ordinary people could achieve. It required precise shooting skills and ingenious explosive tactics. Everyone aid, spotting Bloodsuckers exposed after being hit by stray bullets behind the trees, and fired to take them down.
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" Countless sniper gunshots rang out continuously, the sniper bullets unerringly striking targets. An arm hit, severing directly; a leg hit, breaking imdiately. Luo Zheng saw a Bloodsucker running out from behind a tree, only to be shot in the lower back, their body splitting in two.
At a distance of about two hundred ters, the M99's lethality was terrifying, the bloody scene stimulating everyone to greater enthusiasm. The Bloodsucker mbers hid away, too afraid to erge. The shrapnel from the grenade explosion, though, causing flying bullets everywhere, only inflicted minor injuries unless hitting vitals. However, being hit by a sniper bullet was certain death, leaving them all in shock.
