The bus slowly drove into a mountain range, thick with shrubs on both sides of the road, enough to hide thousands of people. The bus driver maintained a speed of 40 miles per hour, vigilantly watching the surroundings. Inside the bus, Shadow made a gesture, and everyone quickly revealed their pistols and submachine guns, preparing for combat.
Suddenly, a warning ca through the earpiece, indicating signs of an ambush nearby. Shadow covered his ear for confirmation; the ssage was from his intelligence captain, certainly not a mistake. The encirclent was only about a hundred ters away; proceeding further was impossible, it would lead to being completely surrounded, leaving no room for escape. Shadow imdiately patted the driver's shoulder.
The driver knowingly drove fifty ters ahead and stopped, standing up to shout: "Everyone, stay put. If you need a break, get off the bus. The bus has a minor issue but will be fixed soon." Soon, the ambushers noticed sothing wrong; the windows were not shattering, only cracking slightly. Even with so cracks forming, guns inside were returning fire through them. The tires could not be blown out, and bullets sparked off the bus body without causing damage.
Realizing the problem, the original plan to capture so alive for hostages was abandoned in favor of using RPGs to bomb, but it was too late. A large group suddenly erged from behind, opening fire, taking down half the ambushers. The rest reacted, turned their guns to fight back, and began retreating.
Such an opportunity was not to be missed. Shadow dispersed his n to swiftly hunt down the enemy. The enemy appeared to have about fifty people, well-trained and very capable. Despite being caught off guard, they retreated orderly, engaging in fierce combat with Shadow's forces.
Soon, a dozen n gathered together, forming an assault formation, charging forward recklessly, forcing the blocking forces to scatter. Shadow, pursuing on the other side, saw the situation and his face changed drastically. It would take ti to catch up, but letting the enemy break out without a chase was intolerable. He shouted in anger, ordering several subordinates to continue pursuing the remnants while leading others in pursuit.
At this mont, the bus suddenly stopped, and the people aboard rushed down, attacking towards the enemy, forming a pincer movent. This made the enemy's breakout attempts more aggressive. Both sides fought intensely, one side for survival, the other for honor; if the enemy escaped, where would their face be?

"True, but let's not worry about him for now. Even if he's strong, he's alone. We've already cleared out his minions; he can't cause much trouble. We need to act now," Lan Xue reminded.

Soon, the bus drove away from the factory and proceeded along the road. Not long after, a large number of police arrived, escorting the bus to the battlefield where heaps of bodies littered the ground. While everyone was cleaning up the battlefield, the bus stopped. Song Yun looked at the bodies beside the road in shock; so had their heads blown apart, others with bodies torn open, too horrific to behold. An unpleasant sll overwheld her, and she quickly got off, crouching at a spot and vomiting uncontrollably, her face pale.
Luo Zheng glanced at Song Yun crouched on the ground, exchanged a look with Lan Xue, and then found Shadow. Smiling, he said, "Well done, we've caught quite a few fish in this battle. Although not any big ones, the victory is still remarkable."
"Your plan wasn't bad, just a pity we didn't see that bastard Shijing Ye," Shadow said reluctantly.
"He might have returned to the country or failed to make it here. Either way, we've won a round and vented our anger. According to the plan, we need to leave imdiately, returning secretly to Beijing. The sanatorium needs to be disguised as if we are still there, possibly to lure Shijing Ye over. Capturing him is up to you," Luo Zheng advised.
