The retreat of the guards made more people squeeze in. Luo Zheng, Lan Xue, and Shu Sheng also mixed among the crowd, and the three quickly squeezed to the door. The guards ca up to stop them. Everyone was either poisoned or injured, or blown up. They were already full of anger with nowhere to vent, and now that shots were fired inside the cave, there was a risk of being accidentally injured at any ti. The emotions suddenly intensified, and they desperately squeezed inside, fighting with the guards.
How could the thirty or so guards stop the out-of-control crowd? There were just too many people, many were pushed to the ground, and more piled on. The scene was chaotic beyond belief. Luo Zheng and his team also pretended to fall, quickly sticking the pre-prepared button bomb under a missile, pressing the quick-activation key. At that mont, many people also piled on them, pressing down on the three.
The three of them struggled mightily, and Luo Zheng even started killing people. When others saw the murder, they beca uncontrollably frenzied, screaming, fighting, and grappling with each other. Just as he reached the door, before he could relax, he saw a large number of heavily ard troops with soldiers' armbands approaching.
Seeing the fierce military police charging in, Luo Zheng quickly moved aside. Shu Sheng and Lan Xue imdiately hid behind Luo Zheng. The military police saw Luo Zheng at the door, wearing ninja clothes, and hesitated. The leading officer glanced at Luo Zheng, then with cold eyes looked at the people who had squeezed into the cave, made a cutting motion with his hand, and the soldiers began firing wildly at those inside.
"Hiss?" Luo Zheng's expression changed slightly as he saw this scene and gestured for Lan Xue and Shu Sheng to retreat quickly. The two squeezed towards the cave's exit. The room with the missile launchers was cramd with over two hundred people. Killing all of them would take ti, and even if half were killed, clearing the bodies would take ti, enough for the button bomb to explode.
The base's officers and soldiers were all drawn to the brutal thods of the military police. No one expected that the military police would directly massacre their own people. Although attacking a missile launcher was a serious cri, it shouldn't warrant outright massacre. But considering the current chaotic situation, there's no better or faster way to control the scene without being ruthless. Nobody noticed Luo Zheng and his team slipping away.
The three of them erged outside the cave, breathing in the fresh air, instantly feeling much more refreshed. It's unclear what the situation was on the lower levels, but the first floor had only the injured and sick, full of the sll of blood and sweat, an odor that drove people mad. The button bomb had already been placed on a missile, enough to cause the missile to explode simultaneously. This missile could trigger more missile explosions, enough to destroy the entire main peak. Everyone felt exhilarated, quickly rushing forward. Seeing three shell attacks approaching, the three were shocked and sprinted forward with all their might.
"Boom!" The three shells hit the entrance of the cave accurately, blasting another large section of the cave, toppling Luo Zheng and his team to the ground. Fortunately, they ran fast enough to avoid the core shockwave of the explosion, only being thrown by the residual waves without injury.
The three lay on the ground for over ten seconds. After regaining their composure, they quickly got up, helping each other to continue sprinting forward. They hadn't run far when another three shells ca roaring over, scaring the people inside the cave from coming out. Luo Zheng's team ran quickly, and the outside people were all scared back into the cave by the explosions; no one cared about the three of them.
Five minutes later, the three of them flashed through the searchlights unrestrained and left the base, slipping into a dense forest. The forest was so dimly lit that it was impossible to navigate. They had to stop. Luo Zheng shouted through the earpiece, "Mountain Eagle, quickly bring us the equipnt."
"Brother, are you okay? Is everyone okay?" ca the concerned voices of Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard through the earpiece.
The first thing everyone asked was if they were okay, not how the mission went. It's not that they didn't care about the mission, but compared to the mission, they cared more about the safety of Luo Zheng and his team. This concern ward Luo Zheng's heart. He quickly said through the earpiece, "We're all fine, just wait for the big show."
"The big show?" Everyone was stunned but then quickly understood and chuckled expectantly.
While Luo Zheng and his team were retreating, Mountain Eagle had already noted the direction, bringing equipnt and arriving in less than two minutes. They regrouped, and Luo Zheng imdiately grabbed the night vision device, holding the equipnt and weapon, shouted, "Quick, everyone run!" and took off running.
Mountain Eagle and the other two mbers didn't know what had happened, but seeing Luo Zheng extrely nervous while Lan Xue and Shu Sheng were sprinting wildly, they knew sothing was up but didn't ask more, all chasing closely. They hadn't gone far when a river appeared in front. Luo Zheng shouted, "Quick, jump in and hide at the river bottom."
"Splash, splash!" Without hesitation, everyone jumped in, diving to the bottom of the river.
"Boom!" A thunderous explosion echoed, and even underwater, everyone could feel the earth shake, the water vibrate. The underwater explosion made their ears go numb, leaving everyone stunned. Especially Mountain Eagle and others, who looked at Luo Zheng in disbelief. Seeing Luo Zheng had no intention of surfacing, they dared not co up to look either.
Soon, they felt a strong shockwave swept past, with river waves splashing up nearly a ter high. They lay at the river bottom, daring not to move, enduring the suffocation pain, patiently waiting.
Well-trained Special Forces could stay underwater for three minutes without issue. After another two minutes, Luo Zheng signaled everyone to surface. The once brightly lit base was now darkness, with no light visible. With the aid of the night vision device, they saw the high mountain peaks had been blasted down considerably. The massive explosion had brought down the main peak, even stopped the distant artillery bombardnt. The surroundings were pitch-black, with only the rain pouring down. Everyone's faces changed again, looking at each other and chuckling as they removed their night vision devices, their sharp eyes sparkling brightly in the night.
"Brothers, well done." Luo Zheng shouted excitedly, "The missile base is destroyed, the enemy will definitely go crazy pursuing, everyone quickly regroup, it's ti to run."
"Yes." Everyone burst into laughter, their fighting spirit soaring.
