The plan to attack Japan was halted by instructions from back ho, but the kidnapping sche was not canceled. The rumors spread by Lan Xing regarding the Shijing family's bankruptcy have already circulated, now it's just waiting for these matters to fernt.
Xinzi felt a bit regretful that Luo Zheng didn't want to go, but she insisted, "Master Ghost, my father suggests it's best for you to personally oversee the situation to avoid any mishaps along the way."
Refusing once is a signal of trust; refusing again could seem unfamiliar and might even lead to a breakdown in cooperation. Luo Zheng is perceptive and understood the implications. Luo Zheng knew he couldn't refuse again and smiled politely, "If that's the case, it's better to go and have a look." He glanced at Lan Xue, who nodded in understanding.
"Thank you," Xinzi said gratefully.
"Wait here for my news," Luo Zheng instructed Ghost Hand and two others, who nodded in agreent. Luo Zheng looked at Lan Xue, and she nodded in understanding. Luo Zheng then said to Xinzi, "Wait here, we need to prepare."
"Okay," Xinzi agreed wholeheartedly.
Luo Zheng and Lan Xue went to their respective bedrooms. They were already wearing tight-fitting bodysuits; they put on ninja clothes underneath, then put back on their original casual clothes. Luo Zheng concealed his belt tightly against his body, hiding a pistol, military knife, and magazines securely before coming outside, coincidentally when Lan Xue also finished changing. Both followed Xinzi out, got down the hotel, and drove forward in Xinzi's SUV.
The road was smooth without any checks, indicating the Japanese authorities were still unaware, allowing Luo Zheng to breathe a sigh of relief. The SUV unconsciously drove out of the city into the suburbs, arriving at a seemingly abandoned factory, where many hidden n in black with malicious expressions were stationed outside. They didn't approach for checks, clearly familiar with the vehicle.
The SUV drove directly into the factory, a talworking site with many discarded tools. The building was tall and spacious with several cars parked. Around it stood many dressed as ninjas. Thirteen hostages with hands tied behind were squatting on a clearing, looking scared and glancing around, their mouths taped shut.
The SUV parked cautiously at a side by Xinzi, avoiding direct contact with the hostages' line of sight. Its windows were black and opaque, its occupants unseen from outside but able to see out, preventing recognition by the hostages. Xinzi didn't get out but glanced at them before turning to the backseat at Luo Zheng and Lan Xue, softly stating, "These are them."
The hostages totaled thirteen, exactly, all n. The male-centered ideology is deeply ingrained in Japan, kidnapping n garners more attention, as females might be disregarded. They ranged from twenties to teens, appearing astute but likely terrified now.
At this point, Luo Zheng saw a familiar-shaped ninja approaching, undistinguishable due to ninja clothes, and nodded, advising, "Better to detain them in a closed room without tying them; so freedom can stabilize their emotions but ensure the room is empty to avoid accidents and have soone monitor, better installed with surveillance to prevent mishaps."
"Understood," Xinzi replied, looked at the approaching ninja, and smiled lightly, "That's my father, couldn't recognize him?"
"Yes, seed familiar," Luo Zheng smiled.
Yuanfei Zuo approached, Xinzi rolled down the window, relayed Luo Zheng's previous suggestions. Yuanfei Zuo nodded to Luo Zheng, imdiately called soone, whispered a few words, and they agreed with a gesture. A group of ninjas ca up, escorting the hostages to a room diagonally across.
Once the hostages were gone, there was no worry about identity exposure. Xinzi jumped out of the car; Luo Zheng and Lan Xue followed suit, and Yuanfei Zuo approached for a handshake with Luo Zheng, lightly chuckling, "Satisfied with our efficiency? Three minutes ago, we had already sent ssages to the hostages' families. The ssages are distributed by a courier company, printed on paper with no trace, and the Shijing family bankruptcy news was spread by you."
"Satisfied?" Luo Zheng smiled.
"Very satisfied, this way, the kidnapping extortion for riches becos reasonable, even those trusting the Shijing family would have doubts, which benefits us," Yuanfei Zuo gratefully laughed.
"This place isn't bad; let's make it our temporary command post. "No need, we brought our own," Luo Zheng untied the outer casual clothes, revealing the ninja outfit underneath.
"Alright, I'll arrange it," Yuanfei Zuo agreed, called so deputies, instructed them, and they rushed off to prepare equipnt and supplies.
Nothing was fully prepared, yet achieving this level of kidnapping was unprecedented. Luo Zheng smiled wryly, took off his outer casual wear and pants, revealing the ninja outfit beneath, put on the headgear, except a sword. Lan Xue also took off her outer garnts, unveiling the ninja clothes and putting on the headgear, exposing only her eyes outside.
Ninja clothes provided excellent concealnt, even eting hostages directly, no fear of recognition. Luo Zheng gave Lan Xue a look, signaling Yuanfei Zuo to lead him on a tour. On the battlefield, knowing the terrain environnt is always a priority; Luo Zheng wouldn't make such a basic error.
Yuanfei Zuo didn't delay, accompanying him personally. They chatted while walking, deciding where sentries were needed, where to install surveillances, etc., confird during their tour, and followed by core personnel silently noting for preparations later.
