"What? Who is it?" Yuanfei Zuo was shocked, taking a quick step to Xinzi's side, his eyes fixed on the computer screen. Everyone was conversing in Huaxia Country language, and Luo Zheng heard everything clearly, exchanging a glance with Lan Xue, then coming to the screen as well. They saw a household with three cars parked at the entrance, and so young n with an extraordinary aura stepping out of the vehicles.
"Shijing Kong?" Yuanfei Zuo was shocked, staring intently at the screen.
"What's his background?" Luo Zheng asked in surprise.
"You don't know him?" Yuanfei Zuo looked at Luo Zheng in surprise, and seeing that Luo Zheng was not joking, explained, "Shijing Kong is the third-ranking mber of the Shijing family, the younger brother of the current head, Shijing Tian, and the current highest leader of the Death God Killer Organization, as well as the vice president of the Chrysanthemum Group." He pointed to one of the individuals.
Xinzi quickly magnified Shijing Kong, capturing a headshot. Luo Zheng looked at the electronic screen in surprise, cautiously asking, "What's Shijing Ye's relationship with him?"
"Uncle-nephew relationship," Yuanfei Zuo replied.
"Find out his location for tonight and take him out." Luo Zheng said decisively, his expression serious.
"Hiss?" Yuanfei Zuo didn't expect Luo Zheng to have such a big appetite, aiming to take down Shijing Kong right away. If it were possible, Yuanfei Zuo would have acted long ago, not waiting until today. But he didn't voice this thought, instead cautiously reminding, "He is the third-ranking mber of the Shijing family and vice president of the Chrysanthemum Group, with a high position and heavy responsibilities, accompanied by experts at all tis. He himself possesses Sakura Ninja skills, just short of the Chrysanthemum Ninja level, usually going in and out discreetly, spending most of his ti at the Chrysanthemum Group headquarters."
"Then let's keep him busy today, too occupied to return to headquarters." Luo Zheng said sternly.
"Alright, how do we proceed?" Yuanfei Zuo cooperatively asked.
"Previously, it was one person every two hours, right?" Luo Zheng coldly watched Shijing Kong on the screen. The kidnapping was just an external action; destroying the Chrysanthemum Group was everyone's mission. Now that an important figure had appeared, Luo Zheng naturally wouldn't let it go. Seeing Yuanfei Zuo nod, he continued, "Change it to one person every half hour and complete all transactions within a day. I estimate Shijing Kong will, to maintain the family's reputation and clear misunderstandings, go to each household one by one."
"That's entirely possible. The Shijing family is currently in a politically sensitive period, and Shijing Kong won't dare to offend so many big families at once. To gain everyone's trust, he must appease each family one by one, with the best ti to soothe them being after the hostage returns. So, we release hostages, Shijing Kong appeases them—feasible." Yuanfei Zuo quickly agreed.
"Should we establish contact with the hostage's family mbers?" Xinzi asked from the side, her gaze turning to Luo Zheng. She held Luo Zheng's tactical acun in higher regard; while everyone only saw danger in Shijing Kong's arrival, only Luo Zheng saw an opportunity and changed the strategy to expand it, a capability not commonly possessed.
Yuanfei Zuo did not imdiately answer but looked towards Luo Zheng. With a change in plans, Yuanfei Zuo was also hesitant to act autonomously. Luo Zheng, recognizing it was his own initiation of the matter, needed to step up. After thinking it over, he said, "No need for phone calls, send ssages to the hostages' families, one by one, redeeming a hostage every half hour. Remind them of the transaction thod, using your original thod, only advancing the ti."
"Understood," Xinzi agreed wholeheartedly, continuously typing on the computer.
"Just received intel that the Japan Governnt is starting to focus on this matter. They've already ordered the Gendarrie Command Center to take charge, with a specific tough and ruthless Hawk colonel executing the plan, currently heading to the first hostage's ho." Lan Xing's voice echoed in the earpiece.
Luo Zheng paused, frowning deeply. The Gendarrie Command Center was the most powerful military force in Japan, and with the military intervening so quickly, what was the underlying issue? Luo Zheng thought for a mont, deciding not to concern himself with this for now, focusing instead on stalling Shijing Kong. Pretending to move aside to fetch so water, he lowered his voice and said, "Notify the Mountain Eagle Team to prepare for sniper action, awaiting my command."
"Understood," Lan Xing's voice ca through the earpiece.
After a while, Xinzi sent out the ssages, and Yuanfei Zuo continuously made phone calls to remotely deploy the new plan. Half an hour later, another hostage was released. Shortly after, Xinzi detected that Shijing Kong had visited the second hostage's family, accompanied by a convoy. This sudden convoy appearance startled Xinzi, who quickly inford Yuanfei Zuo, but Luo Zheng knew it was the Gendarrie Command Center yet chose not to reveal it.
Yuanfei Zuo also noticed the convoy, his expression changing slightly, looking at Luo Zheng. After so thought, he truthfully said, "The Gendarrie Command Center has intervened, it seems, making things rather complicated."
"Are you scared?" Luo Zheng casually asked with a smile.
"Scared? For the great cause of the Kaga Ninja, would I fear? Please don't question my resolve and confidence." Yuanfei Zuo imdiately retorted discontentedly, as if deeply insulted.
"Then what are you worried about? Let them participate; the more, the rrier. I want to see what tricks they can play. How do you handle the hostage exchange?" Luo Zheng asked nonchalantly with a smile.
"We take them by car back to the city, find a place without people or surveillance to drop them off, then I call the hostage's family to pick them up. No worries, even if inadvertently monitored or photographed, the cars are using duplicate plates, so no fear of being traced to us. Any concerns?" Yuanfei Zuo explained.
"Then there's no problem. Let's play it this way. Give the location of the next hostage's family, and I'll make arrangents." Luo Zheng said calmly and collectedly.
Not knowing what Luo Zheng intended to arrange, Yuanfei Zuo still provided the location of the next hostage's family. Luo Zheng had Xinzi check which roads had to be taken from the second hostage's house to the third, identifying the most probable route, then checking the surrounding buildings. Through surveillance, Luo Zheng locked onto a building complex in a bustling downtown area and couldn't help but laugh, pulling out his phone.
"What are you planning to do?" Yuanfei Zuo asked, curiosity piqued.
"To give Shijing Kong so trouble," Luo Zheng smiled, pretending to dial a phone call. His voice was transmitted through the invisible earpiece hidden in his ear, "Tianyuan Street comrcial area, you have thirty minutes to prepare, target Shijing Kong, go." As he spoke, a glint of murder flashed in his otherwise calm eyes before reverting to tranquility.
Yuanfei Zuo was surprised to see Luo Zheng actually planning to act against Shijing Kong, then chuckled. Once Luo Zheng made a move, the cooperation between the two parties would tighten. As for success, Yuanfei Zuo didn't hold high hopes but didn't point it out, instead praising, "Excellent ans, young brother; you nonchalantly set up a killing field—impressive."
