The people who ca in were extrely aggressive, swiftly controlling the entrance, prohibiting anyone from entering or leaving. Each of them exuded a fierce aura, and more people rushed into the hall, taking control of the reception desk, with so taking the elevator upstairs; the number of them was considerable. Luo Zheng observed this scene calmly, pondering to himself, if Yuanfei Zuo was betraying him, it wouldn't be an inspection, but a direct attack to capture, after all, Xinzi was here, easily identifiable.
"If it's not Yuanfei Zuo, who could it be? Shijing Kong? Exposed? Or maybe they're not here for ?" Luo Zheng's thoughts raced, uncertainly looking towards Lan Xue, who calmly shook her head, signaling Luo Zheng to stay calm. He nodded in understanding and looked at Xinzi.
Xinzi said gravely, "Could they be looking for you?"
"Possible. Can you leave?" Luo Zheng asked sternly, nodding.
"I'm a graduate student at Kyoto University, no problem." Xinzi said indifferently.
Hearing that Xinzi had a public identity, Luo Zheng secretly sighed in relief and said, "Then it doesn't matter, let's see." Watching a few fierce strongn walk over, he secretively gave Lan Xue a combat-ready look.
Lan Xue nodded in understanding, the three of them discreetly sat sipping coffee. The strongn blocked the exit; soone ca in for inspections, aggressively demanding ID from a couple at the first table. The man didn't comply and was slapped to the ground, the woman shrieked in alarm and backed away.
The attacker stepped forward to search, found the man's wallet, took out the ID, glanced at it a few tis, then threw the wallet and ID back at him, not bothering him further, and moved to another table where people quickly took out their IDs. After a check, the attacker's fierce gaze landed on Luo Zheng, who sat calmly sipping tea, his face darkened, and he strode forward, slamming his fist on the table, demanding, "ID card."
"Are you threatening ?" Luo Zheng said, undisturbed.
"You're courting death." The attacker snapped angrily, swinging his fist at Luo Zheng.
Luo Zheng tilted his head, dodging the attack, grabbed the man's head and slamd it onto the table hard; the tempered glass table cracked, blood flowed profusely, and the man's head buzzed from the hit, temporarily losing resistance. Luo Zheng picked up a porcelain saucer and smashed it on the attacker's head, the saucer shattered, half falling down, the other half stayed in Luo Zheng's hand, broken into a sharp weapon. Luo Zheng pressed the broken edge against the attacker's carotid artery, coldly shouting, "Everyone, stop."
The sudden incident frightened everyone else, who rushed up to assist. Hearing Luo Zheng's shout, their gazes fell on the saucer threatening their man's neck artery; none dared to move, knowing a slight force could cut the artery, realizing they encountered a master, they stood still, calling for reinforcents.
The surrounding diners scattered, hid themselves; Luo Zheng coldly glanced at the dazed assailant, then at the helpers who dared not move, his gaze flitted towards the lobby direction where many more fierce-looking people rushed in, emanating murderous intent, clearly not ordinary; Luo Zheng grew suspicious.
"Who are you? Release him." A leader-like figure shouted loudly.
"Call the police." Luo Zheng ignored him, instead looking at the female barista.
"Already done." The barista quickly replied.
"You don't have the privilege to know what kind of person I am, nor do I care who you are, let the police handle this when they arrive." Luo Zheng said coldly, his grip not relaxing, firmly controlling the assailant.
The opponents were apprehensive, glaring fiercely, but recognizing Luo Zheng was difficult, dared not easily approach, quickly made a call; soon, two police officers rushed in, cautiously watching these strongn, one called for backup, the other approached, vigilant towards Luo Zheng.
Luo Zheng was amused upon seeing them, surprisingly recognizing the police officer from the hospital, chuckling, "Didn't expect to see you, we really have fate, want to check my credentials?"
"No need." The police officer also recognized Luo Zheng, quickly responding awkwardly, glanced again at the surrounding strongn, and approached Luo Zheng, continuing, "They're part of the Shijing family's faction, a gang; gangs are legal in our country, you should know, now, they have the numbers, can we resolve this?"
"A gang attacking diplomatic staff, what's the intent? Challenging our country's dignity?" Luo Zheng's face grew stern, coldly retorted. If it were soone else, it might have been ignored, but involving the Shijing family, Luo Zheng wouldn't easily back down, demanded, "I want to see your leaders, you can't handle this."
The police originally intended to use the Shijing family's reputation to pressure Luo Zheng, since the family's status was high in governnt circles, diplomats wouldn't want to easily offend such a prominent family, but encountering Luo Zheng, the situation reversed; seeing Luo Zheng's strong stance, the police's face turned bitter, approaching the leader, advising, "You better not cause trouble."
"Who do you think you are, get out of the way, he hit my man, just like that?" The leader shouted discontentedly.
"Fine, you cause trouble, I'll ignore it. Soone will care, just a reminder, they're Huaxia Country's embassy staff, confird identity, you go ahead." The police officer's face sank, coldly advised; without the Shijing family's intimidation, he wouldn't have bothered to give a warning.
"Confird?" The leader's face changed dramatically. Though brazen, gangs dared to do anything but wouldn't provoke diplomatic staff; that equates to going to war with a nation, unsupported by the governnt, which would suppress them; the leader's face turned bitter, looking at the trusted general controlled by Luo Zheng, unsure how to act, glanced at the police, begged, "Brother, you seem familiar with them, could you help convey a ssage for a private settlent?"
"Too late." The police officer said helplessly, looking at Luo Zheng, took out his radio, calling headquarters. Diplomatic affairs are serious; the officer knew it exceeded his jurisdiction, leaving it for higher authorities to handle.
The situation stagnated; Luo Zheng gave Lan Xue a look, she nodded, discreetly backing off, found a secluded spot, pulled out her phone, dialed the ambassador's number; Xinzi, on the other hand, displayed a watching-the-drama expression, clueless about Luo Zheng's intentions, if it escalates, it's detrintal to all involved.
Luo Zheng perford a knife-hand strike, knocking the assailant unconscious, tossed the broken saucer aside, coldly stared at the leader, his eyes gleaming with intelligence, quickly contemplating a plan to exploit this opportunity against the Shijing family, unwilling to let it slip.
