As the host country, such a serious assassination event has occurred, and the assassin turned out to be the head of security. Not giving an explanation to the involved parties and gaining their forgiveness and trust would be very troubleso. The President of the host country was moved by the Chairman's magnanimity, looked at Luo Zheng, and said sincerely, "This is a misunderstanding. I hope you can work sincerely together to find out the truth."
"Thank you for your trust, Mr. President." Luo Zheng replied politely.
"Mr. Chairman, Mr. President, Mr. Ghost here needs to report sothing to the three of you." The person nad Steve said with a solemn expression, attracting everyone's attention as he seriously continued, "This ring of mine is a wedding ring, paired with my wife's, and it never leaves my side. In other words, no one could tamper with it without my knowledge." He said as he took off the ring.
Luo Zheng took it and examined it briefly. It was rounded with a gold edge. In the center, it appeared to be an erald, and at the gold-inlaid edge, there was a tiny needle, slightly green in color, very similar to the erald, difficult to notice, and undetectable when worn. Once a handshake occurs, the poisoned needle could pierce the other person's skin, allowing the poison to enter the target's skin tissues and nervous system.
"This ring looks exactly like the one I had before, showing no difference at all, and I am very sure of this. Only one person has access to this ring, and that is my wife. I don't believe she would betray , but I have to face reality. Therefore, I request imdiate control of my wife and for Mr. Ghost to interrogate her." Steve earnestly requested, showing his stance, gaining trust from Huaxia Country, absolving himself, and clearing his country's responsibilities—killing four birds with one stone.
All present were wise individuals, easily understanding the reasoning. They smiled silently, knowing the Chairman couldn't openly declare a stance, so they looked at Luo Zheng. After so thought, Luo Zheng seriously said, "Since it's a joint venture, both parties should naturally conduct the interrogation together. That's just one thing. Secondly, you and I are strangers with no grievances. I naturally trust you wouldn't harm . But, why did you choose to greet first?"
"Yes, I too considered that. According to etiquette, I should greet each table one by one, but at that ti, soone told you were looking for . That's why I went over, greeted you, and shook hands, but fortunately, you didn't shake hands." Steve explained with lingering fear.
"It's not that I was unwilling, but at that mont, I happened to see a familiar person and hesitated, so you misunderstood my impoliteness and went to find soone else. I apologize for this. Who was the person who spoke to you?" Luo Zheng apologized and quickly asked.
Everyone, upon hearing this, looked nervously at Steve, who pondered seriously before saying, "There were many people at the ti, and the scene was sowhat chaotic, but I can confirm one person, who was our staff mber, claiming that you called for to inquire about sothing. This can be checked on the monitors."
"First, control the person. The counterpart was too obvious in their actions, about to be used, so let's interrogate thoroughly to see who was behind this." Luo Zheng seriously stated.
Steve, understanding the importance of this, imdiately called and gave instructions. Everyone patiently waited. After a short while, Steve finished the call, apologized to his President, and the President nodded in understanding, looking towards the Chairman, saying, "I'm truly sorry. If there's nothing else, I suggest they proceed to their work imdiately."
"Sure." The Chairman politely agreed, rising to escort everyone out.
Luo Zheng bid farewell to the Chairman and followed Steve downstairs. He signaled to Hong ihua outside to keep an eye on things at ho and then left with Steve. Crossing through the accommodation area, they reached the office area. The President left under the protection of others, and Steve led Luo Zheng to the elevator to the fifth floor. Soone walked up, looked at Luo Zheng, and said a few words in the local language.
After a brief exchange, Steve gestured for the person to lead the way to an interrogation room. Inside, a woman in a waitress's uniform, around twenty-three or twenty-four years old, with a sad face and eyes full of fear, was sitting. Luo Zheng imdiately knew this person was being used.
Steve gestured for Luo Zheng to sit at the interrogation seat and spoke in an international common language, "You already know what happened. Tell , what is going on? This issue concerns the nation's image and dignity. We've investigated your situation thoroughly; you have a clean background with no reason for betrayal. What happened exactly?"
"I don't know either. Soone claiming to be from Huaxia Country told to find you. This has been normal in past reception work, so I complied." The person quickly explained, their face flustered, also using the international common language, obviously afraid that Luo Zheng wouldn't understand and misunderstand.
"Are you sure the person was from Huaxia Country?" Luo Zheng asked in surprise.
"Not entirely sure, but the person claid to be. I was just passing the ssage." The person promptly responded.
"Looks like soone impersonated our identity." Luo Zheng said to Steve, his expression darkening as he thought for a mont before continuing, "Investigate the monitors imdiately and find this person."
"Already on it, please follow ." Steve glanced at a staff mber and gestured for a guard to accompany them for the staff to follow as well. They left the interrogation room and entered an office, approaching an Information Officer, who was busy. Seeing them, the Information Officer imdiately investigated the monitors, pointed at the screen, and said, "Preliminarily locked on to this person."
Steve looked at the staff, who observed the screen seriously and nodded to Steve, confidently saying, "This is the person, no mistake."
The Information Officer imdiately enlarged the person's face, regretfully telling Steve, "From the photo, it appears the person is wearing a silicone mask. Only a cranial analysis can determine the person's identity."
"Conduct the analysis imdiately." Steve sternly ordered, motioning for the guard to take the staff away.
Luo Zheng carefully scrutinized the person, searching his mory to confirm he hadn't seen them before, deep in thought, wondering who they might be. After a while, the Information Officer confidently stated, "All guests attending the banquet were compared. This person wasn't among the invitees."
"Then let's check our own people." Steve's face darkened, seriously instructing. As an experienced security officer, Steve's expertise and intuition were exceptional, vaguely sensing sothing, and he grimly looked at Luo Zheng, saying, "Let's go interrogate my wife."
