The sudden appearance of danger made everyone tense up, the cold wind howling, snowflakes dancing, and a sense of deadly silence spreading out. The surrounding air seed frozen. Everyone quickly scattered into a circular formation, squatting on the snow, aiming in a kneeling position, and observing the surroundings through their scopes. Suddenly, Lan Xue said in a deep voice, "Enemy spotted directly ahead, exact numbers unknown, advancing quickly."

"Mountain Eagle." Luo Zheng's eyes widened like a tiger's as he stared intently ahead and shouted coldly.

"Here!" Mountain Eagle quickly responded, his voice loud and carrying a sharp killing intent.

"Go to the mountaintop to check the situation and report back imdiately," Luo Zheng ordered.

"Yes." Mountain Eagle responded, swiftly securing his gun and rushing towards the mountaintop, crouched low.

Everyone was moving along the mountainside and didn't know the situation at the mountaintop or the other side of the mountain. However, enemy activity was detected in two directions on this mountainside, about three kiloters apart. All of them wore white cloaks blending with the snow. If they hadn't stopped to rest, they might have run directly into them.

This situation made Luo Zheng realize sothing major had happened. He signaled for everyone not to panic, not to open fire, and wait for Mountain Eagle's report. Lan Xue's beautiful eyes slightly narrowed, and she coldly said, "It looks like they're coming for us. We've been exposed. Do we engage or retreat? A decision must be made quickly."

Luo Zheng didn't answer imdiately. With the enemy situation unclear, making a hasty decision was not advisable. He continuously scanned the area with binoculars, discovering that the enemy's total force was at least over three hundred, moving swiftly, clearly not an ordinary unit. Just then, Mountain Eagle shouted loudly from the mountaintop, "Enemy sighted, coming from both sides to encircle. About two hundred in number, moving swiftly. Awaiting instructions."

"Two hundred n?" Luo Zheng's expression beca increasingly serious. They were surrounded by a five hundred-strong force, with only the retreat route left unsecured by the enemy, about three kiloters in a straight line. But the path was through undulating terrain, requiring at least twenty minutes. Fight or run?

Everyone noticed Luo Zheng deep in thought and didn't disturb him, patiently waiting. The cold wind howled, biting into their faces, snowflakes dancing in the sky, drifting farther away. Luo Zheng quickly surveyed the surrounding terrain, contemplating various possibilities, but found them all unfeasible. The enemy was now closing in on three sides, and once they got closer, they would be surrounded on all sides, making escape impossible. What to do?

"Fight or not? Decide quickly." Lan Xue urged.

The enemy pushed forward significantly during this brief mont. Without a tily decision, it would be too late. Everyone looked at Luo Zheng, their eyes burning with battle intent. Luo Zheng also wanted to fight, but with the unfavorable terrain, and wanting to charge head-on through the encirclent, lacking firepower made it a suicide mission. He reluctantly shouted, "Retreat first!"

"Yes." Military orders were as immovable as mountains, and no one doubted Luo Zheng's command. Nurous battle experiences proved every decision Luo Zheng made was highly accurate. They quickly began retreating, following Luo Zheng to the mountaintop. As expected, they saw another force surging in from the other side, seemingly well-equipped and advancing rapidly.

They swiftly moved along the mountain ridge with Luo Zheng occasionally glancing back, observing the pursuing enemy closing in. They didn't fire to stop them but instead increased their speed in a wild chase. This was a well-disciplined unit, well-trained, not wasting bullets carelessly. Being pursued by such a force was tough to handle.

They were spotted just a few hours after parachuting down. This outco made Luo Zheng realize sothing was wrong. Before the operation, surveillance suggested no enemy presence within hundreds of kiloters. How did so many suddenly appear? Had they been waiting in ambush all along?

With this thought, Luo Zheng grew worried and signaled everyone to speed up. As they ran, everyone panted heavily, exhaling countless clouds of hot air that instantly froze in the air, piercing cold winds filling their mouths and chilling their bodies entirely, an extrely uncomfortable sensation.

With five hundred strong enemies in pursuit, they dared not stop, continuing to run, testing their endurance against the enemy behind them. Both parties were human, equally susceptible to such harsh weather; it was all about who could hold on the longest. Running, Luo Zheng looked back again, seeing the enemy forces had regrouped, one force resting on site while the other continued the pursuit. He was taken aback and his expression changed dramatically.

"We must find a place to counterattack quickly," Luo Zheng shouted anxiously.

Everyone was stunned, turning to see the deploynt of the chasing enemy, their expressions changing markedly. This mode of pursuit, letting one force chase while the other rested, was terrifying. When the pursuing force got tired, the resting one followed up, allowing them to alternate rest, while they had no chance to rest, eventually wearing them down.

"Don't rush; keep them hanging until we reach the original death valley," Ghost Hand suggested.

Luo Zheng understood Ghost Hand's intention, considered it, then opposed, "No, there's not enough ti. It's still three hours to get there, and in such a long ti, no one can predict what might happen. We need to dampen their aggressiveness; there's a hillside ahead, everyone rush up there."

"Yes." Everyone agreed. Now that Luo Zheng made the decision, they would execute it.

They rushed up the hillside in one go, where there was little snow. Everyone spread out, each finding cover. Luo Zheng panted heavily, observing the enemies pursuing them, saying, "Mountain Eagle, Xue Er, focus on sniping enemy officers. Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, watch the flanks for new enemies."

"Understood." Everyone answered and got into action.

Officers are the core of a unit; without their command, the unit falls apart. In the absence of absolute power to annihilate the enemy, breaking them would be a decent choice. Luo Zheng quickly set up the M99 semi-automatic sniper rifle, its terrifying penetration and long-range assassination capabilities giving him confidence in the weapon.

Soon, Luo Zheng locked onto a target running straight towards them, over two thousand ters away, beyond the sniper rifle's effective range. Luo Zheng wasn't in a hurry, instead quickly adjusting his breathing to enter a deep breathing state. Lack of oxygen could cause muscle rigidity and tremors, affecting shooting accuracy. Luo Zheng wouldn't make such basic mistakes. Deep breathing ensured oxygen supply and kept him calm.

As he slowly exhaled from his chest, he paused when he felt all the air was about to be expelled, holding his breath for two seconds before inhaling deeply. Fresh air surged into his body, his cells and muscles quickly relaxing, becoming active. After several cycles, Luo Zheng felt himself entering shooting mode again, checked the target, now within range. His slightly narrowed tiger eyes flashed with a terrifying gleam as his index finger slowly squeezed the trigger.

The area between the first and second joints of his index finger touched the trigger, and a battle intent surged up. This area reduces the leftward force on the trigger, preventing gun movent when the trigger is pulled. In long-range sniping, slight shifts could cause misses.
