The Snow Bear Base Camp, bright as day, quickly gathered a large number of troops, forming many square formations. Officers went up to give speeches, and the wolfdogs seed to sense the tense atmosphere, barking wildly one after another. The sounds broke the silence of the desolate mountain valley, and countless searchlights began to sweep around. More troops were gathering.
Upon seeing this scene, Luo Zheng was sure the enemy had discovered the missing observation point and was sending troops to investigate. Suddenly, Luo Zheng was attracted by the back of a person, more accurately, a woman, who seed familiar. Luo Zheng suspiciously moved the sniper scope to observe, and coincidentally, the person stopped and turned around. It was Tang Tian.
When enemies et, their eyes are especially sharp. Seeing Tang Tian, various past events imdiately flashed through Luo Zheng's mind, and a surge of anger rose in his heart, especially from that ti he was almost drowned by the river, which had left Luo Zheng bitter. Seeing Tang Tian again, Luo Zheng's face darkened, his teeth clenched, and his eyes blazed with killing intent as he continued to observe the front.
Before long, Luo Zheng saw several specially equipped troops erge from the building facade, guessing they were rcenaries, none of whom he recognized. Luo Zheng lowered the sniper scope, his face cold as he looked at Shadow, sincerely whispering, "The enemy is indeed deploying troops to search for us. Your plan is good, eliminating the enemy's observation point and diverting attention. However, the base camp has nearly ten thousand troops, and only about a thousand have been sent out. There are still large forces remaining. How do we save people?"
"No rush, if we could eliminate a few more observation points, they'd deploy even more troops. Unfortunately, we don't have enough manpower," Shadow said coldly, also removing the sniper scope from his sniper rifle. After calmly observing for a while, he said, "Let's wait until they leave and the valley is quiet again before taking action. It's a good ti to regain so strength. You stand watch, I'll rest for a bit."
"Okay." Luo Zheng readily agreed. In a while, Shadow was going to infiltrate to save people, so it's good to take the opportunity to rest and regain so strength. Luo Zheng watched the surroundings with vigilance and patiently waited, while also planning the rescue, knowing Shadow could only save one person, not all.
The base camp is heavily ard, and even if the Fourth Squadron ca in full force, they couldn't conduct a direct assault for a rescue. They could only use wit. The plan to divert attention bore little fruit, as the enemy's forces were too nurous and could not be sufficiently drawn away. How should they proceed? After pondering for a while without a solution, Luo Zheng clenched his fists in frustration, his eyes wide open in vigilance.
Ti passed by unnoticed. Luo Zheng had not thought of a good plan, but the valley below gradually returned to silence. Although patrols still patrolled, and searchlights continued to sweep around, the base camp remained as bright as day, though the state of alert had relaxed sowhat. At this mont, Shadow opened his slightly closed eyes, calmly observing below for a mont, then said, "It's ti to move. You provide sniper cover for from here."
"No problem, be careful," Luo Zheng responded.
Shadow put down his weapon, taking only a military dagger. Luo Zheng, uneasy, handed his pistol to Shadow. The pistol was equipped with a suppressor, potentially useful in a critical mont. Shadow didn't refuse, accepted it, and stored it away, then crawled down the Mountain Ridge.
Crawling down the hillside didn't easily expose one, but it was slow. Luo Zheng had thought of this thod but discovered Shadow was crawling very fast, like a giant python skillfully and stealthily moving forward, wrapped in a white cloak that made him look like a snowball or a rock at first glance.
In the blink of an eye, Shadow crawled down more than ten ters. Luo Zheng patiently waited while vigilantly observing the surroundings, guarding against enemy sneak attacks. After a while, Shadow went a considerable distance down, when a searchlight shone over, landing on Shadow.
Shadow lay motionless in the snow, appearing like an irregular stone. Luo Zheng was stunned to see the searchlight not moving, thinking they had been discovered. He quickly moved his sniper rifle to aim, only to find the searchlight had moved away, prompting him to breathe a sigh of relief. Upon looking at Shadow again, he saw him crawling quickly.
"Truly outrageous bravery," Luo Zheng muttered in admiration, gripping his sniper rifle and continuing his watch. He saw Shadow crawl rapidly to the valley, then along the surrounding terrain continued to crawl forward, slowing considerably as he approached the barbed-wire fence. He hid under a tree stump, swiftly digging through the snow to form a pit, and buried himself beneath the snow.
A patrol approached, passing about three ters from Shadow, astonishing Luo Zheng with its failure to notice Shadow lurking in the snow. As he deliberated whether to fire a shot to distract the enemy and cover for Shadow, he saw Shadow burrow through the snow with his hand and slip under the barbed wire.
After crossing the barbed wire, Shadow didn't imdiately run forward but continued observing his surroundings from his snowbound position. Once the patrol moved past, he suddenly sprinted forward, using both hands and feet like a cheetah in high-speed pursuit, quickly reaching the shadow of buildings, then leaping step by step to the surrounding area where captives were bound.
Through the sniper scope, Luo Zheng clearly saw Shadow swiftly eliminate two sentries and three guards, moving like a lethal War God in the night with clean and efficient actions. He quickly rushed into the tree stumps and silenced three more enemy guards outside, crouching down and alertly surveying the surroundings like a hungry wolf.
With no enemies left guarding the area, Shadow quickly found Snow Fox. With a swift slice, he cut the ropes binding Snow Fox. Before they ca, Luo Zheng had confird Snow Fox's identity and location and conveyed it to Shadow. Snow Fox, drowsily asleep, sensed sothing wrong, opened his eyes, and stared at Shadow in shock. He found Shadow sowhat familiar but could not recall his identity and asked softly, "Who are you?"
"Are you Snow Fox?" Shadow asked quietly.
"Who are you?" Snow Fox asked in surprise, but hearing the familiar native language, his guard relaxed.
Shadow knew this was not the ti to speak, so after a quick glance around, he whispered, "We can only save you for now. We'll co back for the other brothers later. Ghost is outside to assist. Co, I'll carry you out."
"Ghost?" Snow Fox paused, then beca overjoyed. Knowing his own physical condition, he didn't linger, instead climbing onto Shadow's back. He took one last look at his brothers around him, before closing his eyes in guilt.
Carrying Snow Fox, Shadow quickly retreated along the path they ca. The sentries were already slain, so they weren't a concern. Beyond the buildings, there was an open stretch with no cover. Shadow took a deep breath and sprinted forward with Snow Fox on his back, knowing he couldn't cover himself while carrying soone and thus relied solely on speed for this gamble.
From a distance on the Mountain Ridge, Luo Zheng saw Shadow erge carrying soone, and rejoiced instantly, unhesitatingly firing a shot. With a whoosh, the sniper bullet sliced through the night, accompanied by a terrifying aura of death, instantly shattering a searchlight. The bullet's montum didn't wane, sending an enemy behind the light flying.
