Just a few more minutes and they'd break through the border, but Luo Zheng didn't dare to take the risk. Forcing through would only expose themselves and draw attacks from fighter jets. With their response ti, it would only take three minutes for them to be hit. Even if they made it past the border, they'd still be attacked. Even if their country protested and avenged them, what would be the point if they were dead?

Having made it this far, Luo Zheng didn't want to die just like that. He spotted a massive military base ahead, his expression turning cold, and he said angrily, "Switch to autopilot and fire all the helicopter's missiles. We're jumping out."

"Alright." Lan Xue agreed without hesitation, her voice icy, quickly maneuvering the helicopter into a steady autopilot mode. She looked at Luo Zheng with a firm and sharp gaze, like a cold star shining from the ninth sky.

Luo Zheng quickly operated the weapon launch system, pressing the launch button and then swiftly opening the cabin door. He picked up the Dragon Tooth Military Saber and nodded at Lan Xue, who understood and did the sa. Their expressions turned grim, and without hesitation, they jumped out. Staying on the helicopter ant certain death; they might as well take their chances.

"Ah—!" they both roared out, venting their inner tension. The helicopter was already skimming low over the trees, just a few dozen feet off the ground.

Luo Zheng felt himself scrape against branches, his body bounced off, and he quickly tensed up, hugging his head with both hands, trying to align his body so his feet pointed downward, knees slightly bent. Upon landing, he rolled to dissipate the impact force, rolling a few tis on the snow before stopping, shouting, "Xue Er, Xue Er, are you okay?"

"Boom!" Suddenly, a thunderous explosion erupted in the distance, lighting up the entire night sky. Luo Zheng quickly looked up and saw that the enemy's camp had been hit by helicopter missiles, illuminating the area like daylight. With such a huge commotion, it's likely they hit the munitions depot or sothing similar?

"Boom!" Another explosion sounded. The helicopter flying through the night sky was hit by a missile, disintegrating instantly and releasing a plu of red light. The wreckage flew wildly, like exploding fireworks, but was soon swallowed by the night.

Luo Zheng stared fixedly at the successive explosions, his face changed, and he suddenly thought of Lan Xue, coming to his senses. He quickly shouted, "Xue Er, Xue Er, where are you?" as he stood up and looked around. In the dim night, besides the accumulated snow, nothing else was visible.

"Xue Er, Xue Er?" Luo Zheng shouted anxiously, horrified.

"Here." A voice erged from the dim night. Luo Zheng was stunned, then rejoiced, racing towards the sound, shouting joyfully, "We did it, we succeeded! We wiped out the enemy camp's munitions depot. The helicopter was blown up by the enemy; they'll surely think we're dead. Now, they won't hunt us down anymore; we fooled them."

"Yes," Lan Xue humd noncommittally.

Luo Zheng was startled, a sense of foreboding welling up. He quickly quickened his pace and soon saw Lan Xue sitting in the snow. He rushed over, kneeling beside her, nervously examining her with a gaze quickly focusing on the ankle she was holding. He was alard and asked, "Twisted?"

"Yes, am I useless?" Lan Xue asked, with an awkward smile.

"As long as you're fine, don't say that. Let see." Luo Zheng said quickly, looking tensely at Lan Xue's ankle bone. After signaling Lan Xue to loosen her hold, he carefully unfastened her military boot and slowly took it off, revealing her foot, only to find the ankle was swollen like a stead bun; his expression turned grave, and he whispered, "Dislocated. It's not a big problem; I can fix it for you, but it'll hurt a bit."

"Alright, go ahead." As an outstanding soldier, Lan Xue knew what dislocation ant and indifferently said, needing all her willpower to bear the pain.

Luo Zheng carefully embraced Lan Xue, studying her ankle before gently stroking it. After locating the dislocation spot, he gripped the misaligned part with both hands, looked at Lan Xue, and smilingly said, "Co on, give your brother a smile. Haven't seen you smile in a long ti, and you look really pretty when you smile."

"Are you looking to die, bothering now?" Lan Xue grumbled, then suddenly felt a sharp pain in her foot, involuntarily gasping in pain. She instantly realized Luo Zheng was deliberately distracting her, preventing excessive tension, which would cause muscle tightening and make realigning the ankle much more difficult.

"Feeling better?" Luo Zheng asked with concern, his eyes filled with worry as he looked at Lan Xue.

"A bit better." Lan Xue felt warmth in her heart and gave a slight smile despite her pain.

Luo Zheng knew this kind of injury was troubleso and wouldn't heal instantly, so he quickly said, "Don't move, I'll figure sothing out." With that, he looked around, rushed to a nearby tree, chopped off a branch, returned, asured on Lan Xue's leg, quickly trimd away the unnecessary parts, and made two splints. Without any rope, Luo Zheng's expression turned dark. Suddenly rembering the belt at his waist with adjustable Velcro, he quickly took it off and tightly bound Lan Xue's foot, sighing in relief only then.

Seeing Luo Zheng sweating nervously, Lan Xue gently wiped his face and said tenderly, "Don't worry, I'm not that fragile. This little injury is nothing; a few days' rest and I'll be fine. Now, let's think about how to get back; it's still about twenty kiloters from here."

"No worries, once the enemies retreat, we can head back. The imdiate task is to find a place to hide." Luo Zheng looked solemnly toward the burning enemy camp in the distance and said gravely, "We must leave here quickly. I estimate the enemy will send troops to check."

"Yes, that makes sense." Lan Xue agreed, but her expression beca troubled.

Luo Zheng knew what was troubling Lan Xue. He handed over Dragon Tooth and said, "Hold this for ; I'll carry you."

"Alright." Lan Xue took Dragon Tooth without pretense. When Luo Zheng bent over, she struggled to get up, endured the pain, and climbed onto Luo Zheng's back, feeling much more secure, as if the sky could fall, and she wouldn't be afraid. Resting her head on Luo Zheng's shoulder, she said deeply, "I wish it could stay like this forever."

"Sure, as long as you're willing, I'll carry you for a lifeti. Let's go ho." Luo Zheng said with heroic enthusiasm, looking southward to the forest-covered mountains, his gaze incredibly sharp and expression determined as he walked steadily forward, quickly vanishing into the night.

Half an hour later, a well-equipped unit appeared on the scene, searching around. They soon determined Luo Zheng's direction from the footprints left in the snow. Leading them was Cas, whose eyes glead with a fierce light as he looked into the forested night. When the squad gathered around, Cas put his fingers together and pointed powerfully in the direction Luo Zheng had gone, and the team surged forward, like ravenous wolves.
