Its powerful spotlight quickly shone on Cas. The Major knew at a glance that reinforcents had arrived, feeling assured inside. He looked coldly at the opponents and shouted, "Go ahead, fire if you dare!"
"Kill!" The others almost simultaneously roared, and the constant shouts nearly drowned out the rumbling of the WZ-10. The intense killing aura enveloped Cas, as if the entire night was collapsing.
Knowing he had no chance in front of the WZ-10 and with equally matched forces that seed like a Special Forces unit, once they started fighting, all his brothers would be laid to rest here. Cas's face turned cold, and he squinted as he looked at the domineering WZ-10 in the sky, his fierce gaze filled with heat and bitter unwillingness.
Just then, a communications officer jogged up to Cas and spoke in a low voice, "Headquarters has ordered us to retreat, to save ourselves for the future with plenty of opportunities for revenge."
Cas was taken aback, his face filled with endless humiliation as he coldly glanced at the communications officer. His gaze again swept towards the WZ-10 in the sky, vaguely seeing that another helicopter was arriving. If they started fighting, victory was impossible. A flood of anger, unwillingness, and helplessness surged within him. He looked coldly at the direction where Luo Zheng and Lan Xue stood, unfortunately obscured by others.
"Retreat!" Cas shouted angrily, turning around and rushing away with infinite unwillingness and humiliation, like an injured Wild Wolf. The others also angrily glanced in the direction of Luo Zheng and Lan Xue, leaving with infinite frustration, their faces as cold as the surrounding Snowfield.
The Major watched Cas and his n leave and breathed a long sigh of relief. Though prepared for a fight, he feared Luo Zheng and Lan Xue might get caught up, unable to be safely taken back, failing to complete the mission assigned by superiors. It was resolved now. The Major quickly hurried over to Lan Xue, glanced at Luo Zheng, and saluted before saying, "Northern Army Special Brigade First Company ordered to co and support, please instruct us."
"Take him for ergency rescue imdiately," Lan Xue said quickly, her face anxious and burning with urgency.
"Yes." The Major promptly agreed, directing the WZ-10 to land in an open area. Everyone quickly carried Luo Zheng to a seat and secured him. Another pilot swiftly took off, leaving quickly with Luo Zheng. The WZ-10 could only hold two, and the other vacant seat was given up by another pilot, so Lan Xue could not be taken at once.
Fortunately, another WZ-10 ca quickly. The co-pilot gave up his seat for Lan Xue, allowing her to also leave by helicopter. Lan Xue silently looked at the two Dragon Tooth daggers in her hand, one of which belonged to Luo Zheng, praying silently, hoping Luo Zheng would be alright.
The main pilot occasionally glanced at Lan Xue, full of curiosity but very disciplined, not asking questions he shouldn't and focused on flying. Inside, they swiftly placed her on a simple operating table, and an old military doctor wearing a mask and white coat approached to examine the wound carefully, gently unbuckling the belt and tossing it aside.
"Please give back the belt," Lan Xue quickly said.
The military doctor suspiciously picked up the belt, looked at it but didn't ask further, handing it back to Lan Xue. Lan Xue took it and held it tightly, as if holding Luo Zheng himself, feeling completely at ease and relaxed. The belt was Luo Zheng's weapon, sothing Lan Xue didn't want to lose. Recalling the care Luo Zheng had shown her along the way, she couldn't help but smile with happiness.
After about ten minutes, the old military doctor had treated Lan Xue's wound, re-bandaging it well. "It's a good thing your wound was secured in ti; did it not bear any weight afterward?"
"Yes," Lan Xue replied softly.
"No wonder, it's fortunate it didn't bear any weight, or the injury might have worsened, risking the leg. Even if we save it, it might remain crippled. You combat personnel have it tough.
