Early the next morning, Lan Xue woke up and, after learning the truth and seeing that Luo Zheng was unhard, scolded him in front of the captain, though she restrained herself from losing her temper. She then sent Lan Xing and the captain outside. Both of them, faced with Lan Xue's domineering attitude, could do nothing but smile wryly, not daring to show any dissatisfaction. Lan Xing rushed back, while the captain, worried about Luo Zheng's safety, stayed around, claiming he would go out to get so food and co back.

Lan Xue locked the hospital room door to avoid any disturbances. Like a protective tigress, she tenderly watched over Luo Zheng, who was still in a deep sleep, feeling heavy-hearted. She gently stroked Luo Zheng's head and softly said, "I know you can hear , don't worry. If you like, sleep a bit longer; we have plenty of ti. As for revenge, once you've had enough rest, we'll take care of it together and then go back to your hotown to live anonymously for the rest of our lives. You promised ; you can't back out, or I won't forgive you."

Past scenes played through her mind like a movie, causing Lan Xue's heart to ache and her eyes to redden, her heart clenched tightly. It had been thirteen days already. She might say she wasn't in a rush, but her heart was burning with urgency, wishing that Luo Zheng would wake up imdiately. Tears involuntarily circled her eyes; at that mont, Lan Xue shed her cold, strong exterior.

Lan Xue placed Luo Zheng's hand in her own, gently caressing it, feeling sowhat relieved. Under normal circumstances, if Luo Zheng hadn't been unconscious, Lan Xue would never have dared to make such an embarrassing gesture. After a long while, tears finally fell, leaving a shiny trail on her haggard face as she quietly dwelled in her mories...

"Is he dead?"

"No, he can't die. Are you one of us?"

"Let's retreat first."

"Hey, how should I address you?"

"You have good gun skills, have you trained before?"

"Not to hide it from you, the first ti playing with this kind of advanced gear, I treated it like a dirt sprayer."

...

"Don't forget our two-year agreent..."

Ti quietly flowed on. Lan Xue, sowhat delirious, murmured without noticing Luo Zheng's fingertips twitching slightly. Her pallid face lacked any color, "You, why are you so foolish? Why do you push yourself so hard? Don't you consider what I would do if sothing happened to you?"

"Stop making trouble, still not behaving yourself..." Lan Xue spoke absently, when suddenly her whole body shuddered. Her eyes, filled with confusion, flashed with joy. She stared intently at Luo Zheng's hand which had twitched slightly again. Luo Zheng rubbed his eyes, disbelieving what he saw, his heart clenched tightly, full of anticipation, fearing everything he had just seen was an illusion.

The callused fingers moved again, this ti Luo Zheng saw it clearly. His face broke into a joyous expression as he pinched his thigh hard. It hurt—it wasn't a dream. Overco with ecstatic joy, Lan Xue sprang up, her body seemingly filled with newfound strength, and shouted toward the outside, "Doctor, doctor..."

Luo Zheng had a dream where he found himself in a chaotic space, surrounded by nothing, unable to see anything, all shrouded in grey mist. He shouted but there was no reply, feeling utterly alone as he drifted in the void for a long ti. Eventually, a faint voice erged. Luo Zheng, thrilled, tried to discern it carefully. The voice was familiar. He ran wildly towards the source of the sound.

Finally, Luo Zheng recognized it was Lan Xue speaking to him, so tender, so passionate, so heart-wrenching. A flood of mories surged forward—Luo Zheng rembered the competition, the injury, the coma, and Lan Xue. A voice scread from the bottom of his heart: I have to go back, I can't let my beloved worry anymore.

Suddenly, Luo Zheng's eyes snapped open to see a figure in a white coat and a white mask, preparing to examine him with a stethoscope. Luo Zheng couldn't make out the doctor's face, but he sharply caught a flicker of murderous intent in the man's eyes. Newly awakened and still alert from the battlefield, Luo Zheng, unaware of being in a hospital, felt the murderous aura and instantly tensed up, his eyes turning bloodshot like a wounded cheetah.

While the doctor pretended to check him, one hand stealthily reached from the coat pocket and produced a scalpel. The scalpel, the size of a palm, was held in a way that was hard to notice. Because the doctor was looking down, he didn't realize that Luo Zheng had opened his eyes. The hand holding the scalpel slowly inched towards Luo Zheng's kidney.

Alard and at a critical mont of life or death, Luo Zheng instinctively arched his body, releasing all his strength, his fingers joined together like a sword, and he jabbed lightning-fast towards a point 1.5 inches next to the doctor's Adam's apple. Lan Xue, deceived by the doctor's pretense, had no idea that a severely injured patient waking up had the energy to fight back.

With a "puff" sound, the incredible power unleashed by Luo Zheng in that mont of life and death was astonishingly fast, and with the doctor unguarded, his body went limp, his wide eyes filled with unwillingness and confusion, dead with his eyes open.

"What?" Lan Xue exclaid in surprise, bemused as she looked at Luo Zheng who had used up his strength and fallen unconscious again, until she heard a crisp noise. Lan Xue shivered, coming to her senses, and when she saw the scalpel on the ground, she completely realized what had happened. Overco with sha and anger, she kicked the doctor fiercely, sending him flying into the wall and down to the ground.

"What happened?" The captain ca in just then, shocked at the scene, drew his gun in a flash, and started scanning around. He put aside the food he brought and asked hurriedly.

"Wake up, wake up," Lan Xue cried out in distress, frantically touching Luo Zheng's face, her eyes filled with remorseful tears, "It's all my fault, all my fault. Please wake up, I'm begging you…"

"What exactly happened?" the captain rushed in and demanded to know.

Taken aback, Lan Xue's face, already sorrowful, suddenly turned frosty like an enraged tigress. She rushed forward, grabbed the doctor from the floor, tore off his mask—didn't recognize him, searched him briefly but found nothing. She threw his body harshly to the ground and said coldly, "Check his identity, imdiately." Her tone was as cold as ice from a million years, chilling to the bone.

The captain felt the icy rage beneath Lan Xue's expression, like a volcano about to erupt, and shuddered. He took a deep breath to calm himself from the pressure Lan Xue was exerting, didn't ask more questions, carried the body to the door, and blocked the entrance, calling for a doctor to inquire.

The summoned doctor didn't know what had happened, saw the captain with a handgun and a corpse on the floor, clearly no joke, his face turned pale, he quickly crouched down to check, and then, trembling, looked at the gun, and said scared: "I don't recognize this person, he's not from our hospital." Fearing the captain's wrath.

"What?" The captain imdiately understood everything, furiously yelled, "Lock down all exits, check the surveillance, quick, call your hospital director over."
