"Whew, whew, whew!" Luo Zheng fired bullets one by one, killing the charging enemies, and drawing more of them in pursuit, providing covering fire for Ghost Hand's retreat. Under the moonlight, he seed like a War God descended to earth, with an overwhelming presence, completely ignoring the advancing mass of enemies. For his brother's safe escape, what harm in risking life and limb?
The camaraderie forged over more than two years was deeply ingrained in his bones. If Ghost Hand had left with the two n, instead of going alone, Luo Zheng wouldn't have to worry about these things. His icy gaze was locked ahead, firing continuously, without even changing the camouflage bandage on his head.
But there were too many enemies, closing in from three sides. If they didn't retreat now, it would be too late. Luo Zheng had to raise his handgun and retreat swiftly. While running, he quickly removed the bandage from his head. Suddenly, he heard the barking of wolf dogs behind him, startling him. He quickly looked back and saw three people leading three wolf dogs in pursuit. The dogs looked extrely agitated, barking loudly, and their presence was fierce.
Luo Zheng's brow furrowed slightly, and a trace of anger appeared on his cold face. After thinking for a mont, he quickened his retreat. Stopping to shoot the enemy's wolf dogs would indeed eliminate them, but it would also trap him in an encirclent, making escape difficult. The best way was to speed up the retreat, as slower enemies would naturally fall behind, leaving only a few to catch up, thus reducing the risk of being surrounded.
The moonlight, like water, continuously enveloped the earth, seemingly unaffected by the war. The ground was gray and visible, flat, with no trees to block the view, nor any bushes to impede. Luo Zheng sprinted away like a cheetah running at high speed, casting a long shadow under the moonlight.
Before long, Luo Zheng arrived at a hilltop, quickly taking cover behind a rock and setting up his sniper rifle. His icy eyes glanced forward, loaded bullets into the magazine, and began observing through the sniper scope, locking onto the leading wolf dog.
The wolf dog's sense of sll was incredibly sharp. Without taking it down, escape was impossible, and reuniting with Ghost Hand was out of the question. Under the moonlight, crouched behind the rock, Luo Zheng radiated intense battle intent. The hunting dog's speed was fast, but held back by a leash, it could not accelerate, making aiming and shooting feasible.
After waiting a mont, the wolf dogs approached closer. Luo Zheng's icy face broke into a cold smile, and he swiftly pulled the trigger. The bullet roared out of the chamber with an unmatched montum, tearing through space like an angry tiger's raised sharp claws, directly ripping the wolf dog's head apart, and blood spurted fiercely.
"Ding dong!" The shell ejected, drawing a beautiful arc before landing on the rock with a crisp sound before rolling to the side.
"Whew!" Another gunshot followed, with a bullet carrying Luo Zheng's endless anger and murderous intent. It let out a terrifying screech, eerily disappearing into another wolf dog's body in the moonlight. This wolf dog's body was directly split into two, with its innards and blood spilling fiercely, the scene utterly terrifying. The two halves of the wolf dog's body fell, becoming a cold, motionless corpse.
The remaining wolf dog, witnessing the scene, imdiately paused in fear, retreating repeatedly. The person holding the leash turned ashen, daring neither to pursue nor retreat, hesitating. Seeing the wolf dog was scared witless, Luo Zheng let out a disdainful cold laugh and continued to aim.
The last wolf dog perhaps sensed danger, barking rabidly and retreating continuously. Bound by a leash around its neck, it couldn't break free, growing even more enraged, baring its teeth. Were it not familiar with the leash holder, it might have attacked.
"Whew!" Luo Zheng fired again, the bullet whistling away, piercing the wolf dog's body and tearing it into two. The three people holding the wolf dogs were horrified, abandoning any pretense and turning to flee. The ard personnel behind them, unaware of what happened, loudly ordered a halt.
Luo Zheng let out a disdainful laugh; unencumbered by constraints, he dismissed the scene entirely. Grabbing his weapon, he rose and rapidly retreated. Without the wolf dogs to track him, Luo Zheng felt no anxiety about being discovered by the enemy. Without looking back, he sprinted away furiously.
While running, Luo Zheng contacted Lan Xing through his earpiece, asking, "Lan Xing, what's the status on all fronts?"
"Got it, the forces attacking Basto have stopped unexpectedly, unclear why. My sister has already sent the dical team and others back to the Embassy, still en route, but no big issues. Bar has already assembled a large force at the border, fortifying, waiting for the enemy to cross. Ghost Hand has led the team into the forest, currently safe," Lan Xing quickly replied.
"Great, as long as everyone is rescued, it's manageable. Imdiately give Ghost Hand's coordinates," Luo Zheng said excitedly. This mission was about rescuing people, and now that everyone was safe, it was just a matter of making a safe exit. The situation was turning favorable, lifting Luo Zheng's spirits.
"Understood," Lan Xing fully agreed.
Luo Zheng, guided by the coordinates provided by Lan Xing, ran swiftly like a cheetah chasing prey, covering hundreds of ters in a few leaps, casting long shadows in the night, crossing mountains, and cutting through forests and gullies, unknowingly traveling a great distance.
An hour later, Luo Zheng arrived at a forested mountain ridge, the forest gray and silent, devoid of insects or birds, which seed anomalous. Luo Zheng, inford by Lan Xing's intel, knew Ghost Hand was concealed ahead, striding forward and shouting to avoid misunderstanding, "Brother, it's ."
"Phew!" A shadow descended from a large tree opposite, clutching a gun and with eyes sharp as blades, a presence like a wolf under the moonlight, exuding an icy murderous aura all over, it was Ghost Hand. Ghost Hand, seeing Luo Zheng, let his aura of killing intent fade, welcoming with joy and gratefully exclaiming, "It's , are you okay?"
"I'm fine, don't you know ?" Luo Zheng replied with a confident smile.
"Glad to hear that." Ghost Hand breathed a sigh of relief, gratefully smiling, and turned to shout into the woods, "It's alright, friendly, co out."
Luo Zheng looked ahead, noticing two familiar silhouettes in the dense, dark forest, and walked over. Ghost Hand also approached, excitedly shouting, "Xin'er, co quickly, this is the good brother I told you about, a brother in life and death."
"Hello, sister-in-law," Luo Zheng greeted eagerly and respectfully.
"Hello, you've worked hard," Yu Xin graciously responded, "Gui Li just told about you, thank you for everything you've done for us."
"No need for formalities, right?" Luo Zheng smiled, then politely asked Zhong Hai beside him, "And you are?"
