The night deepened, even the moonlight hid behind the dark clouds, as if it knew sothing was about to happen and dared not watch. The wind gently swept through the neon-lit city, stirring the suburban bushes and forests. The wilderness stood in silent stillness, far-off the high-speed train's roar and whistle echoed. Everything seed so calm, no different from usual. No one noticed the dozen or so people lurking in the bushes on either side of the tracks, their eyes fixed ahead.
Suddenly, the roaring sound of helicopter rotors ca from the horizon, everyone froze, looking up to see two helicopters flying over the city, brutally imposing and strikingly conspicuous in the night sky. The thunderous noise reached far, heading toward the whistling high-speed train, like an unbeatable War God charging forth.
The ambushers witnessing this scene burst into smiles, their tension vanished. Luo Zheng also smiled. Whatever happened next, they had to press on. He imdiately spoke into his earpiece, "Everyone get ready for battle."
"Yes," everyone whispered, unlocking the safety and chambering the bullets, releasing an endless fighting spirit that pierced the night sky like a sharp sword, as if to shatter the heavens.
Once the battle began, many would surely call the police, especially those in the citadel. If possible, Luo Zheng would have preferred using a signal jamr, but this citadel likely had dedicated lines, which were hard to disrupt, making jamrs useless. He could only rely on Lan Xing. Luo Zheng's face turned solemn as he entered combat mode, speaking coldly into his earpiece, "Lan Xing, ready."
"Understood," Lan Xing replied gravely, sensing Luo Zheng's fighting spirit.
"Brothers, be careful," Hong ihua's voice crackled in their earpieces.
Luo Zheng calmly watched the two civilian helicopters zoom away like two War Gods. Suddenly, Ghost Hand's inquiry ca through the earpiece, "In position. Approximately sixty guards outside the special train, everything as expected. Permission to fire?"
"Fire," Luo Zheng coldly ordered.
"Rat-a-tat-tat!" The two helicopters suddenly dove, the onboard personnel quickly aid at the special train and opened fire. Bullet tongues of fire swept forth, tearing through the night, eerily ominous against the dark sky, filling the air with overwhelming killing intent.
The battle erupted in full fury as Luo Zheng watched the helicopters race past. His earpiece resonated with his comrades' fierce hails of gunfire, bullets roaring out, the whirl of rotors all lding together indistinctly. His heart surged with excitent, his spirits high, prompting him to shout, "Brothers, aim true!"
In two swift minutes, the special train did not charge forward as expected but instead entered a junction. The guards stationed at the junction randomly shot at the sky's helicopters. Civilian helicopters were no match for military ones, with poor bulletproof capabilities. The two helicopters and the special train passed each other; as they turned, they had to climb to maintain pursuit, yet the junction's guards obstructed the helicopters' chase.
By this ti, the special train had barreled through the junction. Luo Zheng saw a large number of people climbing onto the roof, wielding heavy weapons as if intending to take down the helicopters. Aghast, he quickly asked, "Ghost Hand, report the situation."
"Delayed for about ten seconds by the junction guards. No problem, we've caught up, but sothing doesn't feel right. Why are so many jumping up to counterattack? It seems they were prepared," Ghost Hand quickly replied.
"Not good, those bastards have prepared in advance. We've no choice but to fight back hard. Xue Er, watch out for those enemy helicopters. Ghost Hand, hit them hard, draw more people up," Luo Zheng's face turned grim, exuding murderous intent as he snapped.
"Understood," Ghost Hand agreed, his mind flashing to the iron chain trap, causing him to smirk. He controlled the helicopter to charge ahead fiercely, while the other helicopter crew mber kept firing. Each helicopter had only four people: two for piloting, two for firing – their attack power limited.
A minute later, many had climbed onto the roof, setting up machine guns. Seeing this, Luo Zheng's face turned. He hadn't expected such resolve, indifferent to life and death. He hurriedly commanded, "Ghost Hand, lower the flight altitude, attack only the enemies on the sides."
"Understood," Ghost Hand also saw the heavy machine guns and nurous enemies on the roof, his face darkened. He swiftly lowered the flight altitude, positioning behind the train. The other helicopter followed suit. Now those on the roof couldn't see the helicopters unless they moved to the last carriage, where the n aboard the helicopters had already cleared any threats.
"Boom boom boom!" Both helicopters rapidly fired at the enemies on the sides, eliminating those standing in the last carriage's sides. With no clear field, the helicopters had to soar high and pull away to avoid enemy fire.
A minute passed in a flash, and with a roar, the special train approached. Luo Zheng's face turned icy, his eyes gleaming sharply as he coldly observed the enemies alongside the train. There weren't many, most having climbed onto the roof. He sneered, shouting loudly, "Brothers, target the first two carriages. Be careful, move fast, charge, kill!"
"Kill!" everyone roared like fierce tigers unleashed, charging toward the special train, firing ferociously at the train guards. The enemies were more than expected, their resistance intense, clearly ready. With no way back, they could only fight on, hollering as they fired intensely, legs sprinting quickly.
The lurking points were already near the tracks. After a round of gunfire, they reached the special train. The guards stood little chance against the attackers' barrage. Everyone grabbed the guardrails, quickly climbing aboard.
Just then, the guards on the rear carriages turned their guns to fire ahead; suddenly people, along with weapons, flew down from the roof. The shocked guards on the sides stared, jaws agape, glimpsing, but missing the iron chains tied to the power poles overhead.
The speeding train caused the crosswise chains atop the car to sweep everyone off unrcifully, sending them spinning far and wide by the train's high speed and montum, crashing into the ground, unmoving.
The assailants seized the guards' distraction to sprinkle pre-prepared Button Bombs onto the special train. Luo Zheng didn't participate; while shooting enemies, he watched the roof guards being flung off in shock, secretly relieved they'd set up iron chains, preventing mass casualties.
