Half an hour later, on the battlefield.

The scorching sun was baking the earth, the silent prival forest was filled with all kinds of insect and bird calls, lively and noisy. The oppressive and hot air was filled with a restless atmosphere, sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, falling in patches on Luo Zheng, who was lurking under the tree. His face, dotted like golden butterflies dancing in the wind, but no one had the mood to appreciate this. The lurking people kept their eyes fixed forward, sweat the size of beans rolling down their oil-painted faces, washing them into filth, yet no one moved, continuing to lurk, tightly gripping their guns.

Half an hour had passed, the bodies in the open grounds were still there, yet the enemy was slow to arrive. This result confused everyone. From ti to ti, the corners of their eyes glanced at Luo Zheng, hoping he would have a new plan. Should they continue to hold on or retreat? Everyone felt uncertain.

Only the people of the Fourth Squadron continued to believe in Luo Zheng as always. Lan Xue was lurking beside him. The Mountain Eagle Team was studying the captured single soldier radar, including the radar itself, battery, tablet computer, communication equipnt, tripod, and backpack. The entire kit's total weight was about 9 kilograms, all of which could be packed into a backpack for easy mobility. It could accurately detect enemies and vehicles within a 1000-ter range and issue tily alerts, very suitable for the defense and alerting of key locations.

To avoid exposure, they dared not turn on the radar. This kind of high-tech product surely contained a global positioning chip, turning it on would expose their position. Luo Zheng pondered if the enemy had activated the single soldier radar at the ti, then they all couldn't stay hidden. Luckily, the enemy was in pursuit and didn't bother to turn it on, only symbolically using a hummingbird to scout the mountain forests on both sides. Otherwise, it would have been troubleso.

The single soldier radar's working range was a kiloter, while Luo Zheng placed his observation posts 5000 ters out, all of which were directly subordinate teams of the National Blade. Whether it was Shadow, Drunkard, or Snow Fox, any team was renowned, with a glorious battle record, and any person was a figure to look up to, possessing formidable combat strength. With three teams totaling about fifty people, Luo Zheng wasn't worried about the enemy quietly infiltrating.

While pondering, his earpiece crackled with Drunkard's voice: "Hehe, buddy, they're here, a crack special operations team, probably so elite forces. Want to have a look at the exotic skills?"

"No way, let them co over, stay hidden. They probably brought single soldier radar, capable of scouting everything within a kiloter radius. Be careful," Luo Zheng hurriedly warned.

"These fools aren't scouting, they're rushing like mad, probably under a death order. Be careful yourself, I've let them through," Drunkard chuckled. The Sam Country elite forces had single soldier radar, and the National Blade action teams were similarly equipped. Each squad had one, with similar functions to Sam Country's, only slightly bulkier. This mission was airlifted, and they had them with them, just in ti to be put to use.

On hearing the possible elite forces arriving, Luo Zheng suddenly perked up. Finally, the wait wasn't in vain; as long as they could take down this squad, it would be worth it. He imdiately communicated through the earpiece: "Brothers, the prey has co to us, everyone be careful, maintain battlefield silence, all of you keep watch. Lan Xing, can you see the enemy's position?"

"I'll try, the forest is too dense, hard to discern." Lan Xing responded.

Modern warfare is a contest of high-tech weapons, and almost nothing is secret between enemies. The rest depends on the combatants. Dostic satellites couldn't see the enemy, and the enemy probably couldn't discern their lurking position either. In the vast and dense forest, ancient trees stood tall, with canopies like coverlets, impenetrable. It was indeed hard to spot the camouflaged people below.

For a well-equipped unit, five kiloters is nothing; they could get there quickly. Everyone was ready for combat. Soon, those lurking in the mountainous woodlands noticed enemy traces; the flying birds startled into flight were the best clues. Luo Zheng swiftly entered combat mode and coldly stated, "Attention, everyone, prepare for combat. Act on my command, stay hidden."

"Yes," everyone replied in a low voice.

"Did the enemy discover our brothers hidden underground?" Lan Xue reminded.

"It's entirely possible they found out, at least the sniper knows. He should report this situation up, but the enemy wouldn't expect to ambush twice at the sa spot, using the sa tactic. Even if discovered, we can evacuate in ti," Luo Zheng explained in a low voice.

After waiting a while, a fully ard person appeared in the dense forest ahead, cautiously looking around, lurking at the edge observing without rushing in. Following closely was a hummingbird. Seeing the hummingbird, Luo Zheng's expression changed slightly, but watching them hover around the open grounds, he coldly smiled and didn't mind.

Those ambushed in foxholes wore specially made camouflage suits with infrared-resistant functions. They were all hidden underground, covered in camouflage, unafraid of being spotted by the hummingbird. There was no one in the dense woods on either side of the open grounds. Everyone was concealed on the other side of the hills a kiloter away. Luo Zheng noticed the exposed person setting up single soldier radar and couldn't help but feel secretly relieved.

The previous ambush had not only taken down the elite forces but also captured their equipnt, knowing these people carried single soldier radar. Otherwise, a close-range ambush would have been discovered. Everyone was lurking outside the monitoring range, no worries. Luo Zheng put down the sniper scope and said in a low voice, "Attention, the enemy is scouting, don't move."

"Yes!" Everyone replied quietly.

In the sunlight, the fully ard enemy observed for a while via radar, found no targets, and instantly gave a safe hand signal to the rear. The hummingbird searched the mountain forests on both sides, discovered nothing, and returned. After about two minutes, this enemy cautiously crept forward, stooping.

Seeing this, Luo Zheng coldly laughed. As long as the enemy hasn't found them, it's manageable. He glanced at the sky. The scorching sun was overhead at noon, its dazzling light pierced through the gaps in the leaves like a myriad of golden rays, almost blinding. Luo Zheng believed the enemy's satellites were also closely monitoring here. His expression turned serious as he whispered, "Everyone, listen to my command, don't move, wait for the right mont."

"Yes," everyone replied quietly, continuing to lurk.

"Lurking brothers, wait for my command to open fire, don't move rashly. Mountain Eagle, have your n ready to provide support," Luo Zheng continued. For the Mountain Eagle Team, a target a kiloter away wasn't an issue; they could support those lurking in the foxholes when necessary.

"Yes," everyone replied quietly.

The tense atmosphere of impending battle spread, remaining unwavering in the open grounds above.
