Night fell, and the moonlight, with its eternal gaze, watched over the vast forest, indifferent and unselfish, scattering its light down, bringing a touch of brightness to the dark earth. The dense canopy above the forest was a hazy gray, while the forest itself was pitch black. Occasionally, the calls of various birds and beasts echoed, adding an eerie mystery to the silent forest. On a ridge, hidden in the woods, Luo Zheng and his companions sat tightly under a large tree, resting.

After a hurried dinner at the valley base, they had rushed out, marching briskly for over two hours. Luo Zheng, seeing the ridge offered a good vantage point, decided to stop and rest, waiting for the others to gather. The assembly command had already been sent via signal device. Shadow, Drunkard, and Snow Fox were swiftly leading their teams to rendezvous.

Luo Zheng drank so water, stowed away his canteen, and looked at Lan Xue, asking with concern, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, this is nothing. They'll be here soon. I wonder how little sister is doing over there." Lan Xue casually replied, glancing toward the Mountain Eagle Team on guard nearby. Each mber was camouflaged deep within the woods, blending seamlessly with nature. Hardly noticeable unless closely scrutinized, their positioning was ticulously calculated, blocking all routes. Any movent from any direction would be instantly detected, and even the trees concealed observation posts, ensuring strict vigilance.

"Radar scanning has been requested; it needs so ti but will be quick." Lan Xing's response ca through the earpiece. Just after he spoke, Lan Xing excitedly reported, "About thirty kiloters southeast of your location, a unit has been detected. Their identity is unknown. Further out, two more units are resting."

Through radar waveform scanning and analysis, uncamouflaged objects could be detected. Luo Zheng was uncertain if their position had been reconnoitered by the enemy; perhaps even if discovered, the enemy would pay little attention since small squads like theirs were common in these prival forests.

"Thirty kiloters southeast?" Luo Zheng was montarily stunned, then overjoyed. He imdiately shouted into the earpiece, "Shadow, Snow Fox, Drunkard, do you hear?"

"Heard." The three replied almost in unison.

"Start moving to the southeast thirty kiloters away. We'll gather there. Marching together easily arouses suspicion." Luo Zheng quickly advised.

"Yes." Everyone agreed.

The earpiece returned to silence. Luo Zheng stood up, looking towards the southeast direction, saying, "Mountain Eagle, get ready for action in two minutes, we must hurry."

"Yes." Mountain Eagle acknowledged, organizing the team.

"We'll move separately. Even if the enemy radar spots us, they might mistake us for their own, given how many small units are here. You're right; marching together easily arouses suspicion. But shouldn't you discuss the plan with everyone?" Lan Xue inquired quietly, not hiding her surprise.

"The enemy situation is unclear; planning is difficult. Let's play it by ear. We're here to capture prisoners, not to wage war. If an opportunity arises, we'll act; if not, we'll find another chance. Let's go up and take a look." Luo Zheng said sternly.

Two minutes later, the troops began to move again. With the Night Vision Device, marching posed no problem despite the high mountains and thick woods slowing their pace. After about an hour, they reached a thick forest and stopped, each silently hiding under the surrounding trees. Luo Zheng calmly surveyed the valley ahead and lowered his voice, "Report your status."

"I'll go first," Lan Xing quickly interjected, "Shadow is about one kiloter to your left, Snow Fox about two kiloters to the right, Drunkard approximately a kiloter behind you, still on the move. The enemy is resting about two kiloters ahead in the dense woods, no activity, no fires, dark sentries unknown."

"Shadow, Drunkard, Snow Fox, have the n disperse, pairs approaching the enemy camp. Watch for dark sentries. Mountain Eagle, we're moving up too." Luo Zheng rejoiced to see his allies moving forward and imdiately made a decision, his eyes sharply focused on the dense forest ahead, rising and striding forward.

Lan Xue closely followed, Mountain Eagle bringing his team along. In the darkness, they moved silently, like a pack of hungry wolves closing in on their prey, guided by the Night Vision Device. Marching was seamless; the crew unknowingly advanced about a thousand ters and entered the warning zone.

Normally, dark sentries range about two kiloters out. Luo Zheng remained cautious, stopping in a grove, hand against a tree, vigilantly scanning ahead. Though the forest was deep and moonlight was blocked by thick canopies, visibility was very poor: hard to see far. But with the enemy's trophy helt-based Single Soldier Night Vision Goggles, the powerful thermal imaging function permitted normal sight even in complete darkness.

Soon, the troop spotted a person camouflaged atop a tree, appearing like an ape nestled in the branches, while another was concealed beneath the bushes below, clearly visible with the thermal imaging. Luo Zheng snorted, glancing at Mountain Eagle, who nodded knowingly and pulled out a finger-type Laser Friend-or-Foe Identifier, aiming it at the opposing side.

This identifier could emit light pulses, also receiving others' emitted pulses, converting these signals into numbers, then using a calculator to verify the string of digits — akin to Windows serial verification. Those verified were friendly; inability to receive a number or pass verification identified them as unknown.

The team patiently waited, refraining from imdiate action. Luo Zheng cautiously watched the lurking dark sentries ahead, prepared for a hard assault. Soon, the sentry hidden in the bushes erged, signaling to the tree's dark sentry ahead, advancing. Clearly, he had verified the signals from Luo Zheng's team and was coming up for final confirmation. Beyond weapons, the Sam Country boasted formidable combat prowess, prudence, and unity being its invaluable traditions.

"Everyone advance, Mountain Eagle, Zhou Gang, silent pistols. Wait for my command to take down these two." Luo Zheng whispered, moving forward. Mountain Eagle and Zhou Gang agreed, drew their pistols, attached suppressors, and followed, keeping a hawk's eye on the dark sentries in the canopy, ready for combat.

"Who are you people?" The enemy sentry stepped forward, calling out, eyeing Luo Zheng and his team warily.

Luo Zheng and his team advanced a few steps, realizing the opposing side also wore Single Soldier Night Vision Goggles, watching them as if confronting a dire threat. Had the identification signals not been sent earlier, they might have already opened fire. Luo Zheng snorted, commanding, "Mountain Eagle, the one up the tree; Zhou Gang, the one ahead — kill!"

"Puff puff!" Two gunshots erupted, both suppressed pistols firing almost simultaneously, the bullets making faint sounds barely audible in the forest, instantly penetrating the targets' vital spots.
