"Boom!" Another deafening explosion echoed, dirt fell from the top of the cave, landing on heads and bodies, so unsteady torches were knocked to the ground, but were quickly picked up and re-secured by soone, giving the whole cave a collapsed feeling. But no one cared or was afraid; their eyes only burned with an even stronger fighting spirit as everyone looked at Luo Zheng.
Luo Zheng dusted the dirt from his body, and his sharply piercing gaze sparkled defiantly in the firelight, without a hint of panic. This confidence and calm reassured everyone, as they realized that a commander is the soldiers' courage, and there's truth in that. After a while, no more explosions sounded from outside, indicating the missile airstrike was over. Everyone perked up, impatiently waiting for the order to attack.
However, Luo Zheng didn't imdiately order an attack. Instead, he headed toward the cave's exit, followed by Lan Xue, Captain Li, Hook, and others. Soldiers along the way moved aside, eyes filled with curiosity, but none asked questions. Before reaching the exit, everyone heard the roaring of helicopter blades, hovering right above the valley.
Luo Zheng's face went stern, and he quickly halted, giving a signal to stop advancing. The people following him crouched down on the spot, with icy cold stares directed outside the cave, trying to spot any movent. Other than the bright light, there was nothing visible. As everyone looked at Luo Zheng, they found him firmly gesturing for an attack.
The spirits of everyone surged, and so quickly ran into action. Soon, the cave echoed with dense footsteps, followed by individuals carrying heavy machine guns rushing out towards the cave's entrance. Luo Zheng signaled everyone to follow him, leading the charge forward.
Soon they reached the cave entrance. Luo Zheng looked up and saw an ard helicopter erging right in front. He roared, "Scatter and conceal on the spot, quickly, anti-aircraft forces move in."
"Yes." All the heavy machine gunners were allies, part of Captain Li's troops. Upon hearing Luo Zheng's command, they swiftly scattered, finding places to lie low. The cave entrance was over ten ters wide and about ten ters tall, sufficiently spacious, with many fallen rocks serving as perfect cover, as weapons were rapidly set up.
At this mont, the anti-aircraft forces rushed in, spotting the low-flying helicopter, and hastily sought cover. anwhile, the enemy helicopter noticed the individuals erging from the cave. Instead of evading, it adjusted its angle preparing to fire, a cruel sneer surfacing on the pilot's mouth.
The helicopter, having seized the initiative, knew once it opened fire, those erging would certainly et their end. The pilot was clear about this judgnt. But just as they were about to fire, a black dot abruptly appeared in their vision, carrying the breath of death. This dot grew larger at a speed beyond human reaction ti, and before the pilot realized, they felt sothing penetrate their brain, followed by a wave of piercing pain throughout their body. Subsequently, an endless darkness swept over them, and the pilot felt as if plunged into an ice cave, consciousness dissipating in an instant, leaving them ignorant of anything.
"Anti-aircraft forces, charge out and kill!" Luo Zheng lowered the sniper rifle aid at the enemy aircraft, his eyes ablaze with fierce combat spirit, roaring loudly.
"Yes." Upon seeing Luo Zheng kill the enemy helicopter pilot with a sniper shot in less than a second, which saved all present, everyone beca fervent, watching the now pilotless helicopter erratically flying. They charged out screaming, shouldering Red Banner Six missiles.
"Heavy machine guns, form attack formation, charge and kill." Luo Zheng noticed a large batch of enemy troops appearing from the direction of the trench, his expression cold and stern as frost, and without hesitation, issued an attack order, knowing courage prevails on a narrow road.
"Kill—rat-tat-tat!" The machine gunners charged ahead, each issuing thunderous roars as if the War God had descended, bringing unmatched montum to aggressively press forward.
"Kill!" More people surged out from the cave like a tide, shouting loudly, fearlessly charging towards the trenches, their guns blazing without pause.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" Three Red Banner Six missiles were launched, their ear-piercing whistles boosting everyone's confidence, unleashing a killing intent fully. Following closely, those erging from the cave roared as they charged ahead like unleashed tigers, displaying formidable montum.
The warriors fiercely surged forward. Despite the deadly helicopter overhead, everyone trusted their anti-aircraft forces and the Red Banner Six. Ahead, the machine guns opened the way with dense fire and a fearless attack style created an unstoppable fierce montum, like a sharp blade stabbing towards the enemy.
Luo Zheng watched the scene coldly, his gaze resolute, tightening his grip on the sniper rifle. Beside him, Lan Xue spoke softly, "Should we rush in to assist?"
"No need." Luo Zheng knew his position was to command, though he was eager to charge in and assist. He remained restrained, instructing Captain Li beside him, "Brother Li, it's all yours."
"Don't worry, I'm itching for a fight, those bastards ca knocking." Captain Li wished to rush in to fight, but as an officer, he knew his position was to command. However, with Luo Zheng staying behind to command, Captain Li had no reservations, and excitedly charged forward, shouting as he went: "Everyone, charge faster, aim and fire, kill."
"Kill—" Everyone roared, quickening their charging steps.
The enemy was positioned at the trenches, blocked by fire, unable to rush into the valley. They didn't retreat but held their ground, trying to defend the hard-won gains. But under the firepower sweep of over twenty heavy machine guns, the enemy had no chance to counterattack, tightly suppressed, retreating like the tide under RPG targeted blasts.
The warriors stord past the crater left by explosions, reaching the trench at the gorge entrance only to find the enemy hiding inside. The trench was five ters deep, with a scaffold built on the side facing outwards for positioning, while the interior offered no cover, leaving enemies unable to utilize the trench for retaliation.
Captain Li led the charge, sneering at the sight, and roared, "Brothers, blast them hard, use RPGs, grenades, whatever it takes, blast one trench after another, and set up the heavy machine guns in place."
"Yes." Everyone roared, furiously tossing grenades into the nearest trench, triggering a series of earth-shattering explosions.
With the trenches five ters deep, those inside couldn't climb out to retaliate, even tossing grenades out was difficult. So attempted to stand on the wooden scaffold to fight back but were blasted apart by heavy machine guns set up outside. The trench's design considered defense from the front, not the back, offering a distinct advantage for rear attacks.
