Now reading: Chapter 1734 1734: The First Negotiation from Strongest Soldier King, a Action novel by Jungle Wolf.

Negotiation is all about montum and control. Although Hook doesn't understand the skills of negotiation, he has a habit of trusting Luo Zheng's words unconditionally. Whatever Luo Zheng instructs, he believes and executes without question. Countless tis, this habit has proven beneficial for him and his tribe. This ti was no different. Hook rembered Luo Zheng's advice before arriving, suppressing his hatred, and presenting a calm facade, leaving Hunter without an opening in the negotiation.

In Hunter's view, Hook was just a native, a nouveau riche, uncultured and crude. The intelligence departnts had evaluated him similarly. But seeing Hook in person, Hunter was secretly alard. That calmness and indifference were like those of a wise man who sees through all the fog, a superior figure. This disparity made Hunter silently curse the intelligence departnt again. He quickly adjusted his strategy, and the smile on his face gradually beca sharper, exuding a strongman's aura that enveloped Hook with a decisive and murderous montum.

Hook keenly sensed this powerful aura, let out a disdainful snort, and unleashed a mighty sanguinary presence filled with deep-seated hatred. His gaze toward Hunter beca several degrees colder. Hunter was secretly shocked, suddenly realizing that his actions might backfire. The urgent task was to save the hostages and stabilize his opponent, not provoke them. He retracted his aura, instantly returning to normal, and said calmly, "Sam Country's negotiation representative, Hunter."

"Hunter?" Hook pretended to ponder, buying ti for Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng, listening through the earpiece, imdiately had Lan Xing investigate Hunter's background. After a while, Hook sneered indifferently, "Not interested. Tell , what do you want with ?"

"You?" The commander was furious and scolded.

"Don't rush." Hunter imdiately stopped the commander's anger and looked at Hook with interest, smiling, "You are stronger than I imagined. You've not only bewildered my army but also my nation and even the world. Remarkable. It's an honor to have an opponent like you, but I don't wish to be your enemy. My country doesn't want to be your enemy either. I co representing the nation's goodwill, hoping to find a peaceful solution. Continued fighting benefits neither side. Sam Country is a peace-loving nation. What do you think?"

"Wait a mont." Luo Zheng's voice suddenly ca through the earpiece, "This guy is an old fox, not easy to handle. He's a soldier, seeks advantage."

Hook, following Luo Zheng's words, sneered and questioned Hunter, "Peace-loving? That's great. Since it's peace, what have you brought? Don't tell you ca empty-handed. One must bring a gift when visiting for the first ti, right? How can you prove you're peace-loving without a gift? Go back, bring a gift, and then we'll talk. Oh, and I'm poor here and can't afford to keep prisoners. Your people haven't had a drop of water and there's no dicine for their injuries. They probably won't hold out for long. But what can I do? We're poor here."

"I'd be willing to send military doctors to assist in treatnt. Would your side be willing to accept?" Hunter did not get angry, looking seriously at Hook and suggested.

"Bring the gifts and then we'll talk. Without gifts, you can't enter our gate." Hook said dully, showing impatience. Seeing Hunter intending to say more, he waved his hand and continued, "Stop wasting ti, go back. Coming empty-handed, is this your peace? The next ti you co empty, I will take it as an insult, and bullets will welco you instead." Saying this, he turned and left.

"Wait a minute." Hunter watched as Hook didn't play by the rules at all and quickly called out to the departing Hook, seriously asking, "Gifts aren't a problem. What exactly do you want? I can co with sincerity. If the gifts aren't sufficient, unable to express goodwill, leading to further conflicts, it benefits no one."

"You're threatening ?" Hook coldly glared at Hunter, interrogating him without waiting for Hunter to explain. He bluntly barked, "Get lost. Without seeing sincerity, there won't be any more talks. How much counts as sincerity, that's your problem. I only look at the result." Then, he turned and walked toward the rear.

Hunter still wanted to call after Hook but found Lang Sen blocking the way, with a fierce gleam in his eyes, appearing ready to strike, forcing him to abandon the idea. With a cold expression, he left with the commander. On the way back, the commander cursed viciously, "These bastards, I won't let them off. Commander, what do we do next?"

"I want to hear your thoughts." Hunter said coldly, with his slightly narrowed eyes glinting coldly. He was completely enraged by Hook's rudeness and provocation. As a major general of Sam Country, wherever he went, he was treated as a distinguished guest. When had he ever suffered such humiliation?

"We'll endure for now, saving our people is imperative. If we must, we can give them so small benefits. These natives are uncivilized and irrational; we can appease them with a bit of this and that." The commander quickly suggested.

"What should we give?" Hunter, aware of his mission, had to temporarily compromise and endure before the high-statured Hook, prompting him to ask.

"Food, dicine, fabrics, these are what they lack most. As for weapons, we can't give any." The commander hurriedly proposed. To rescue his subordinates, the commander couldn't care less if doing so was against regulations or would land him in a military tribunal.

"No, you're wrong. These things are what they lack the most, which is not a problem for us, but we can't give them. Haven't you noticed? Their weaponry is quite good. Giving them weapons hasn't any aning for them because they're well-equipped and don't lack them. So, after we return, prepare weapons for a company, and we'll co again after lunch." Hunter said coldly, his eyes flashing with a cold murderous intent.

"Yes." The commander quickly agreed.

"We've all been deceived by Hook. Never underestimate these natives. Although they are uncivilized, surviving in this harsh rainforest demonstrates their wisdom. Underestimating the opponent will only lead to greater losses for us. After returning, I will report the newest findings. This enemy is probably not sothing that ground forces alone can resolve. We'll need to deploy the missile base for cooperation."

"They're hiding in the valley. There are caves, and our missiles have bombed it several tis with no effect. Helicopters are useless too; they have air defense missiles." The commander kindly reminded.

"I've read the battle reports. I didn't expect Huaxia Country to have developed such new portable missiles. This intelligence is very important and the intelligence departnt must be tasked with clarifying the situation. As for the enemies inside the valley, we'll directly use poison gas bombs after rescuing our n. Therefore, it doesn't matter how many things we send now; we'll reclaim them sooner or later." Hunter said coldly, his eyes glinting with chilling murderous intent.
