Mountain Eagle led the corpses and his squad mbers to retreat quickly, searching for Hook. The surrounding dense forest was full of danger. If there were more Pot Lid Head Special Warfare Group mbers around, Hook and his team would be in trouble. If Hook were killed, the battle would be over, and the mission entrusted by the state would be impossible to complete. Wasting such manpower and resources to no avail was sothing Luo Zheng could not allow. Mountain Eagle understood the danger and chose not to stay.
Luo Zheng led the others to chase after Shadow, maintaining contact with Shadow through the earpiece. Learning that the enemy sniper hadn't run but had instead hidden, Shadow was temporarily at an impasse, exchanging moves with the enemy. Luo Zheng knew Shadow's speed, and no one could escape Shadow's pursuit. But dealing with a sniper who has hidden himself to counterattack was different, which alard him. He quickly led his team to catch up.
Fortunately, the distance wasn't too far. After a short pursuit, they arrived at a dense forest and saw sniper shots fired from the mountain ridge ahead. Shadow was down below at the mountain's waist, and being outnumbered found it hard to breach the enemy sniper's defense line. Luo Zheng noticed intermittent gunfire below the mountainside, deducing that Shadow was fine, feeling secretly relieved but puzzled. Why was the enemy sniper moving up the ridge? It would consu more energy unless there was a reason.
At this thought, Luo Zheng suddenly realized sothing, his face changed dramatically, and he quickly glanced at the hidden Boozer not far behind, signalling him quickly. Boozer approached, asking incredulously, "Brother, how should we attack? Do you want to give him a blast?"
"Swiftly flank the slope and take a commanding point to stand by. I suspect the enemy's helicopter will co to rescue them. Decide how to strike then." Luo Zheng said coldly.
"Heh heh, understood." Boozer chuckled excitedly and quickly flanked up the hill.
"Shadow brother, stall him, don't rush to attack." Luo Zheng lowered his voice and commanded coldly.
"Understood, you're really one for sly tactics, but I like it." Shadow's voice ca through the earpiece.
Hearing this, Luo Zheng smiled wryly, knowing Shadow was joking, but he didn't mind. On the battlefield, all ans were exhausted to kill the enemy and save oneself; there were no good or bad tactics. He calmly continued to order, "Quick, start digging foxholes for anti-air defense imdiately."
With the enemy's ard helicopter infrared thermal imaging function, although everyone wore anti-infrared combat suits, better safe than sorry. The aerial view is distinct from the ground. Furthermore, their location might have been detected by enemy satellite radar, making it necessary to consider anti-air defenses.
Everyone understood Luo Zheng's tactical arrangent through the earpiece, taking out their folding entrenching tools from their military packs, and started diligently digging foxholes. Before the foxholes were half dug, the sound of the approaching helicopter's roar ca from the horizon, signaling the arrival of the enemy aircraft. The group kept their heads down, digging fiercely, racing against ti with the enemy machine.
Soon, the enemy ard helicopter charged overhead, unleashing a rain of bullets on the hidden area, confirming their exposure. Everyone was shocked as the helicopter attacked the foxhole location, prompting them to hide behind the large trees on the opposite side, curling up their bodies and hiding, each filled with rage. The foxholes dug at the base of the trees, over a ter deep, now seed useless.
The enemy helicopter ravaged the area like a plowing field, leaving chaos in its wake. Countless thick trees were broken, forming basketball-sized craters on the ground. Sheltering under the trees, the people could feel the massive trees shaking violently, as if about to shatter, making them secretly terrified.
Soon, the helicopter roared overhead, and the group quickly circled to the other side of the trees. Here were the foxholes they had dug, and everyone jumped in, crouching with their hands over their heads. After turning around, the helicopter launched another fierce attack, bullets hamring down like rain, leaving devastation behind.
"Boom!" A missile dropped, landing on the ground, causing an earth-shattering explosion. Huddling tightly inside the foxholes, everyone roared with mouths open to lessen the concussion's impact on their brains. The blast wave and shrapnel were just barely blocked by the trees in front of the foxholes.
After ravaging the ground twice, the helicopter flew up the slope, hovered, and lowered a rope. Soon, a person grabbed the rope and was lifted by the helicopter to fly into the distance, all the while arrogantly flipping the middle finger toward the slope direction.
In the dense forest on the slope, Boozer coldly watched this scene, sneering derisively. Red Banner Six quickly locked onto the target, pulled the trigger, and with a whir, the missile shot out, emitting a terrifying screeching sound as it headed toward the enemy aircraft, elongating a death shockwave in the void.
The person dangling in the air saw the missile coming and gesticulated wildly, as if shouting. The helicopter pilot also realized they were missile-locked and pulled up sharply to evade, but at a distance of just a thousand ters, the missile hit swiftly, colliding heavily with the helicopter.
"Boom!" The enemy ard helicopter was struck by the missile, exploding instantaneously in the void, erupting into a massive ball of fire. Countless debris from the aircraft scattered in the void, buzzing as it rapidly fell toward the ground, with the person suspended by the rope also plumting swiftly down.
"Tch!" Boozer gave a middle finger to the enemy aircraft exploding in the void, sneering disdainfully. Realizing sothing, he quickly inquired through the earpiece, "Everyone okay?"
"No problem. That loud noise, you took down the enemy aircraft?" Shadow's voice ca through the earpiece.
"Of course, no big deal. Are the others okay?" Boozer asked further.
In the foxhole, Luo Zheng shook his head, feeling a buzzing in his head, his thoughts sowhat dull. Hearing Boozer's inquiry, he couldn't help but ask, "Taken down?"
"Taken down, blew it up directly." Boozer proudly replied, "You guys okay?"
"With the machine gun and the missile, why didn't you act sooner? Just blow up enemy aircraft directly; that sniper wouldn't have been able to escape." Snow Fox complained irritably.
"Heh heh." Boozer laughed awkwardly.
"As long as everyone is alright. Boozer, go check on the enemy sniper's condition and their pilot. Be careful, and no matter dead or alive, bring them over. We'll rest here for a bit." Luo Zheng said wearily, sitting outside the foxhole, patting his head to quickly regain clarity, giving orders as he did so.
"Understood." Boozer promptly responded.
"Luckily, we have the foxholes. Although only over a ter deep, they saved everyone." Lan Xue staggered towards Luo Zheng, constantly patting her head to regain clarity, speaking with concern as she ca over, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Let's rest for a bit and retreat as soon as possible. The enemy stirring up such commotion definitely has more tricks up their sleeve. They might attack, so we must quickly return to command." Luo Zheng said solemnly.
