As the war rages on, both sides are building up their forces. On the surface, it seems like the Hook Tribe is winning, but everyone knows Sam Country is very strong and won't give up easily. No one knows how long this war will last, and no one dares to be optimistic. Moreover, the enemy has reinforced by over ten thousand troops. Once they attack, it will be absolutely earth-shattering, unstoppable. Holding on for even a week, let alone a month, would be a success.

The Shadow issue made Luo Zheng ponder. He looked up at the sky; night had already fallen in the east while the sunset glow lingered in the west, but not for long. It was about to get dark, so he said in a deep voice, "Let's discuss this issue when we get back. Everyone speed up; we must return before dark."

"Yes," the others replied softly.

Everyone began to accelerate. Seeing Luo Zheng and the others speed up, the rest also quickened their pace, rapidly weaving through the woods. Half an hour later, they reached the gorge, jogging forward along it. Another half an hour later, they arrived near the valley where Hook and his n ca out to greet them.

Luo Zheng noticed Hook's clothes were covered in blood, indicating he had just returned and hadn't had a chance to change. Gratefully, Luo Zheng stepped forward to greet him with a bear hug and asked with concern, "Was everything okay along the way?"

"No problems, no enemies encountered, very smooth," Hook replied gratefully, looking at the tribe following Luo Zheng and others, and asked in disbelief, "The tribe mbers said several groups of warriors from other tribes ca today, without eting yet. Those behind you are also from the sa group?"

"Yes, we t on the way," Luo Zheng smiled.

"I'll go say hello," Hook apologized, walking forward.

Soon, Hook was mingling with the newcors, embracing and chatting amicably. After a while, Hook approached Luo Zheng, looking envious, and said, "They are from the Cannibal Tribe's strongest tribe and ca to seek refuge with us. I've heard of this tribe before; they are brave and warlike. Did they give you a knife?"

"Yes, is there any significance?" Luo Zheng asked in surprise, taking out the knife.

Hook took it to inspect it briefly, praised it enthusiastically, then returned the knife with envy, saying, "The person who gave you the knife is the son of their tribal chief, the future successor. There are several tribes among the Cannibal Tribe, but they are the strongest. This knife has been passed down through their tribal chiefs for generations, supposedly for a thousand years. It cuts iron like mud, and the wounds it creates never heal; it's a sacred artifact, though who knows if that's true."

"So impressive?" Luo Zheng was amazed, and continued, "Since it's a sacred artifact, I can't accept it. This gift is too precious; I'll return it. Can you help explain?"

"Just keep it. It's not customary to return a gift given to you. If you really return it, it's as if you look down on them, and you'll beco a public enemy of their tribe. Are you sure?" Hook laughed. Seeing Luo Zheng's wry smile, he continued, "This represents the tribe's highest friendship. In other words, they've recognized you as the most esteed friend of the tribe. Everyone in this primordial forest knows this knife. Offending you is equivalent to offending their tribe and being an enemy of the entire Cannibal Tribe."

"Ah?" Luo Zheng didn't expect the knife to have such significance. Weighing its pros and cons, after a while, Luo Zheng had a sudden inspiration and asked, "Is the Cannibal Tribe the largest power in this primordial forest? How many are there?"

"Not really the largest, not as nurous as us, but definitely the most fierce. No tribe dares to offend them, and many surrounding countries and guerrillas don't dare provoke them. I don't know exactly how many there are. Why?" Hook responded with suspicion.

"If they are so fierce, why are they seeking refuge with you?" Luo Zheng retorted. There's no such thing as a free lunch; every action has reasons behind it. As a Commander, Luo Zheng is accustod to exploring the essence behind things.

"Are you implying they have motives?" Hook asked in surprise, his expression becoming serious. He doesn't have to worry about other tribes, but fierce Cannibal Tribes must be treated seriously.

"Everyone has motives; it's just a matter of what they're after. If I guessed right, they hope to achieve great things instead of dying in obscurity in the forest. The higher your reputation, the greater the pressure on them. Who wants to remain unknown for life? I'll give you a suggestion," Luo Zheng said seriously.

"What suggestion?" Hook earnestly asked.

"Bond with them as sworn brothers, assign them an independent military outfit, a regint-level establishnt. I wonder if you have such a brotherly bonding tradition here?" Luo Zheng suggested.

Hook's eyes lit up and he smiled, "That's not an issue. If possible, how about the three of us swearing brotherhood together? I just wonder if you'd accept us natives?"

Luo Zheng didn't expect Hook to be so clever and transparent, even pulling himself into the water. His political acun is becoming more impressive, but Luo Zheng wasn't upset; such talent is worth supporting. With a smile, he replied, "I can't answer you right now; I need to contact dostic officials for approval. Personally, I have no problem."

"Then I'll wait for your reply," Hook said with excitent.

"Let's go back first and discuss further. Treat all tribes seeking refuge well; don't disappoint everyone. Furthermore, with more people, friction is inevitable. Let representatives from each tribe form a Law Enforcent Team, with one person per tribe to jointly enforce the law, where the minority follows the majority, forming rules to be collectively observed," Luo Zheng advised.

"Understood, that advice is tily. I'll handle it right after returning," Hook agreed wholeheartedly, calling on burly n in their native dialect, as everyone chatted and headed towards the valley.

After returning to the valley, everyone returned to their rooms. Luo Zheng went back to shower and change into clean clothes before heading to the command center, where Captain Li greeted him with genuine concern. Seeing that Luo Zheng was okay, he completely relaxed and gestured for him to co over to the sand table. Picking up a long stick, he pointed to a spot on the sand table and said, "According to our reconnaissance, there's an enemy force here, numbering over a thousand, specifics unclear, but probably not exceeding two thousand."

"Any movents?" Luo Zheng asked with a serious expression.

"None, but dostic satellites are monitoring them. Any movents will be imdiately reported," Captain Li replied.

"More than a thousand people? Three units? What are they trying to do?" Luo Zheng pondered.

"Our operations departnt analyzed their actions and concluded they're attempting a decapitation strike—capture high-ranking officials here to exchange for hostages—these troops are likely covering their retreat," Captain Li said thoughtfully.
