All twenty missiles landed on the enemy's hilltop position. By all accounts, the enemy's position should be largely destroyed, but Luo Zheng was baffled by the enemy's unusual deploynt and dared not be careless. He quickly inquired about the situation. Soon, Mountain Eagle's voice ca through the earpiece, filled with suspicion: "The main targets on the enemy's position were destroyed, and the machine gun positions were also taken out. The enemy is making combat preparations in the trenches, not retreating, and it looks like they intend to hold their ground and wait for reinforcents."
"Imdiately guide Wei Jian with the coordinates, target the places with more people, for the final round of missile attacks." Upon hearing this, Luo Zheng's expression turned serious, utterly confused by the enemy's strange behavior. Knowing it's a lost cause yet still holding on, isn't that suicide? Resolving himself, he loudly instructed.
"Understood." Mountain Eagle quickly agreed.
Soon, another salvo of missiles shot out from the dense forest, targeting the hill ahead, followed by a series of explosive sounds. As they ran, Luo Zheng felt the ground tremble as if shaking, but the hill in front was obscured by dense trees, making it unclear what the results of the bombing were. Accelerating, he ran up.
Hook also led his troops to follow closely. Before long, they reached the base of the hill. Luo Zheng looked up and saw a scene of devastation on the hill. So trees were burning from explosions, and countless patches of earth had been blasted out, exposing large craters, looking extrely terrifying.
"Charge up!" Luo Zheng shouted angrily at Hook.
"Got it." Hook responded knowingly, shouting to his troops. A hundred warriors behind him roared and charged wildly uphill. The slope was not steep, and the ard n, accustod to mountain roads, ran as if on flat ground, charging madly. When they reached halfway up, sporadic counterattacks began from the hill.
Everyone quickly retaliated, firing and charging fiercely. Luo Zheng noticed that the firepower of the counterattack from the hilltop wasn't strong, which piqued his curiosity further. He instructed the Mountain Eagle Team through the earpiece to go up and assist. At this point, ard n from both left and right flanks arrived, rushing up towards the summit.
There was more counterfire from the top, but the firepower was quickly suppressed with precision. Luo Zheng estimated it was the Mountain Eagle Team in action and looked at Lan Xue with curiosity, saying, "Strange, why does the enemy insist on holding this position?"
"Maybe they're holding out for reinforcents." Lan Xue replied with doubt.
"We used missiles to attack, and the enemy had no solid defenses. They should have retreated. It's really puzzling. Is this position that important to them? With about three hundred n, never mind, shall we go up too?" Hook suggested from the side.
"Let's go." Luo Zheng glanced at the ard n charging up, engaging in a firefight with those on the hill, seemingly gaining the advantage. He agreed and went up the hill, with Hook and Lan Xue following closely.
By the ti the three of them reached the top, the battle was over. The battlefield was in chaos, with caved-in trenches and corpses from the blast everywhere. Weapons were scattered around, and blood could be seen everywhere, reflecting an eerie light under the sun. The air was thick with the sll of blood and gunpowder.
"Checked. Around three hundred enemies, none escaped, but reinforcents are advancing from the enemy's camp direction." Mountain Eagle approached Luo Zheng quickly and said in a deep voice, pointing into the distant dense forest, where shadows flashed and birds and beasts ran in panic. More seed to be coming.
"Is it really a hold-for-reinforcents tactic?" Luo Zheng wondered aloud.
"It seems so, but the enemy didn't expect us to deploy ten Red Banner Sixes at once, dropping thirty missiles. The hill isn't large, and with precise bombing, the enemy's forces couldn't react in ti before being completely wiped out. That might be the fundantal reason we captured it so easily." Lan Xue contemplated aloud.
"Indeed, who would have thought we'd start with such a grand gesture?" Mountain Eagle agreed.
"If that's true, the subsequent battles will be easier. Wei Jian, bring your n up quickly." Luo Zheng coldly stared at the dense woods ahead, with a fierce gleam in his eyes. He raised his sniper scope and looked further; it was the enemy's camp. Although the view was blocked by the dense forest, he could vaguely see the enemy was still maneuvering their troops.
"Could it be the enemy underestimated our attack?" Luo Zheng mused aloud.
"The enemy will soon charge up. What should we do?" Mountain Eagle reminded him.
"It'll take the enemy at least five minutes to reach us. Hook, have your n quickly clean up the battlefield, take everything worth taking. Only five minutes." Luo Zheng ordered coldly, his face calm as still water, without a hint of panic. Since the enemy underestimated them, Luo Zheng didn't mind teaching them a profound lesson.
"Got it." Hook agreed upon hearing no need for defense, imdiately ordering his troops to clean up the battlefield.
Hook's n were also desperate. Upon hearing they could take everything, they didn't even spare the enemy's combat uniforms. Seeing this, Luo Zheng didn't object. When Wei Jian arrived with his n, Luo Zheng quickly pointed towards the enemy camp and asked, "Quick, how many missiles do we have left?"
"Each still has two remaining." Wei Jian quickly explained.
"Fire one from each person, keep the other as a backup, move!" Luo Zheng ordered fiercely.
"Understood!" Wei Jian promptly agreed and issued combat orders to his brothers.
Luo Zheng widened his eyes, staring intently at the enemy advancing towards them. They were not far now. With a hardened expression, he shouted, "Hook, have your n hurry up, it's ti to prepare for withdrawal."
"Understood." Hook quickly relayed orders to his troops.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" Ten missiles roared out, tearing through the spatial barrier towards the enemy camp, making terrifying shrieks, bizarre in the void. They quickly fell on different parts of the enemy camp, triggering earth-shattering explosions. Fiery light shot up into the sky, smoke spread, but the view was blocked by the dense forest, preventing everyone from seeing the bombing effect.
"Bang, bang, bang!" The enemies charging up fired wildly at the hillside. Although the dense forest in between reduced the bullet's accuracy, stray shots could still be deadly. Soon, the enemy's firepower intensified further.
"Quick, withdraw." Luo Zheng coldly watched the enemy charging up, his eyes filled with even greater murderous intent, and without hesitation, he gave the order to retreat.
"Shouldn't we use these trenches for cover and engage with the enemy?" Hook suggested.
"No, withdraw imdiately. The enemy has Stinger missiles." Luo Zheng quickly refused.
Thinking of the enemy's Stinger missiles, Hook's face changed drastically. He quickly ordered his troops to retreat. Luo Zheng glanced at Lan Xue and instructed Mountain Eagle and Wei Jian: "Wei Jian, have your n retreat quickly. Mountain Eagle, your team will cover the withdrawal. Find a way to take out the enemy's Stinger missiles and be careful."
"Understood." Mountain Eagle swiftly agreed.
Just as they reached halfway down the hill, deafening explosions echoed from behind. Countless dirt flew up, falling heavily on the hillside woods. Luo Zheng brushed off the dirt on him, secretly relieved they withdrew in ti; otherwise, they would have been in trouble.
"These bastards really went through with it, even though many of their comrades' bodies are still on the hill." Lan Xue said coldly.
