The enemy's fierce attack made Luo Zheng vigilant. He had a vague feeling that the enemy's conspiracy was about to erupt, and the focal point would be this battle. If they couldn't block the enemy's assault, it would be very troubleso. Not going up made him uneasy. With sharp eyes narrowed, he pondered and seriously said, "Notify Wei Jian to gather the reserve air defense personnel to move with , and inform Mountain Eagle, Ghost Hand, and Snow Leopard to gather at the square in five minutes, ready and waiting."
"Understood." Captain Li quickly responded and turned to make arrangents.
Luo Zheng stared at the sand table intently, as if imprinting the terrain on his mind. He took a deep breath, glanced at Lan Xue, who nodded knowingly. The two walked out of the command post in tacit agreent and went to their respective quarters to prepare. They were already in sync; any battle must be faced together, advancing and retreating as one. Luo Zheng didn't even try to persuade Lan Xue to stay, knowing it was futile to say so.
Three minutes later, fully ard, they ca out, carrying the Dragon Tooth Long Sword. They gathered at the small square and saw their brothers quickly running to assemble. When everyone saw Luo Zheng and Lan Xue approaching, they ran even faster and soon stood in three lines. Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle stood at the front, calmly looking at Luo Zheng, their emotions stirring.
"Brothers, you've been training the allied forces for days, you must be itching for action, right? We're about to fight side by side again." Luo Zheng shouted loudly, his eyes filled with a strong battle spirit, and an invisible killing aura burst out, infecting everyone.
Everyone was excited by Luo Zheng's words and his aura. Ghost Hand was even more delighted, saying, "We've been itching all this ti without a battle. What's the mission?"
"The front line is in critical condition. Let's go up to assess the situation and decide." Luo Zheng replied, seeing Wei Jian also rushing over, carrying the Red Banner Six, with each person equipped with two missiles. These missiles weren't light; two were the limit, any more would be a burden on the move.
Luo Zheng frowned slightly at this sight and imdiately said, "Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, each of your n helps carry an additional missile, move fast."
"Understood." Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard quickly agreed and led the troops straight to the armory.
At this mont, Hook rushed over, surprised, and asked, "What's the situation?"
"The front line is in crisis. I need to check it out." Luo Zheng explained.
"I'll go with you." Hook said without hesitation.
Luo Zheng thought for a mont and said, "You don't have to go this ti."
"I must go. At the start of the formation of the troops, everyone was watching . Moreover, I need military achievents to prove myself; otherwise, I won't have the authority to command. You taught this reasoning, so I have to go." Hook said resolutely.
"Alright, bring your Guard squad." Luo Zheng responded after so thought.
"Is it enough?" Hook asked in surprise. The Guard squad was only fifty n. What could fifty do in such a large-scale battle? Hook was a little uneasy but seeing Luo Zheng's firm expression, he added, "Alright, Guard squad then, give five minutes to assemble."
"The enemy's conspiracy is uncertain, and we cannot mobilize the troops on a large scale. The Guard regint is the general reserve, and cannot be easily dispatched. Move fast and bring the Single Soldier Radio." Luo Zheng seriously explained.
"Understood." Hook understood and quickly answered, called soone behind him with a few instructions, and the person quickly left. Hook looked at Luo Zheng and continued, "If we stop the enemy's attack, won't we need to fear their conspiracy?"
"Not necessarily. Let's see the situation first." Luo Zheng replied casually.
While they were chatting, Ghost Hand and Snow Leopard returned with their n carrying missiles, swiftly lined up, eagerly looking at Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng gestured for everyone to wait, and after a few minutes, Hook's Guard squad also rushed to gather. Hook had his n take over carrying missiles, reducing the burden on Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and others, and the troops quickly departed.
Along the way, everyone marched quickly with torches in hand. The Guard squad's equipnt was certainly better than other units, all good stuff captured, including the torches. The squad burst out of the valley, passed through the gorge, and dove into the dense forest, running like hungry wolves under the cover of night.
While running, Luo Zheng continually contacted Captain Li, learning that all of Red Banner Six from the southern troops had been deployed to the front lines, finally managing to halt the enemy's frenzied assault. The fierce battle was relentless, and the enemy, disregarding casualties and costs, attacked with madness, placing trendous pressure on the defending forces, leaving the defense line precariously at risk.
Luo Zheng did not expect the enemy to use a desperate style of fighting, which was uncharacteristic of Sam Country's battle tactics. Filled with doubts, he urged the troops to speed up their advance. An hour later, Captain Li sent another report; the enemy's attack was temporarily repelled, but our side suffered significant losses, and the situation beca severe.
Significant losses ant that one to two hundred n lost combat capability. Could the remaining hundred or so hold off the enemy's frenzied attacks? Luo Zheng was shocked and asked, "What about the enemy's losses?"
"Lost more than three hundred n, and withdrew temporarily." Captain Li quickly reported.
The enemy's disregard for casualties made Luo Zheng more cautious and resolved to block the enemy. The more the enemy wished to achieve, the less they could be allowed to succeed — one of the rules of war. Luo Zheng's face turned stern, estimating it would take so more ti to reach, and imdiately shouted, "Send in the reserves."
"Is it too early to send in the reserves now? Could we withdraw first, abandon the front line, and fall back to the second line of defense?" Captain Li quickly suggested.
"No need, the more frantic the enemy, the more it reveals underlying sches. We absolutely cannot let them succeed; not only must we repel their assault, but also take the initiative to attack, completely disrupting the battlefield's rhythm, leaving the enemy bewildered. Deploy the second-line defenses to flank the enemy, send a hundred reserve troops forward, and have the others standby at the rear. We will reach soon." Luo Zheng hurriedly instructed while urging the troops to pick up the pace.
News of the front line's tense situation quickly spread, prompting everyone to hurry even more, eager to plunge into battle. Running and thinking, Luo Zheng was baffled by the enemy's crazed actions and couldn't help asking Lan Xue beside him, "What is the enemy playing at?"
"Hard to say, it boils down to two possibilities. One is to forcefully breach a point, press forward once defenses are broken, to engage us decisively. The other is a feint, attacking fiercely here to draw all attention, only to let a surprising force strike from elsewhere, crushing our defenses in one swoop." Lan Xue pondered.
"A feint?" Luo Zheng's eyes lit up as if grasping sothing, but on second thought found nothing tangible. Could one or two thousand n achieve the goal of a strategic feint? That would be too confident, right? What other conspiracy lay within this? Luo Zheng thought deeply while keeping pace with the advancing troops.
