Now reading: Chapter 192 192: Furious Killing of the Fox Wolf from Strongest Soldier King, a Action novel by Jungle Wolf.

The gunshot exploded by my ear, roaring with the fury of the Death God. Luo Zheng's body tensed, dead. Just like that, dead. I guess that ans I've let down the one who always has that cold, emotionless face, my love. Such a pity, but, why don't I feel any pain? Why can I still think? This is such an odd sensation. Can the dead still think?

"Bang, bang, bang!" Three more shots rang out, followed by a voice booming like thunder, "Quick, finish him off."

"Eh, why does that voice sound so familiar?" Luo Zheng looked around in a daze, following the sound, and saw a familiar figure running toward him with a gun, sprinting and firing continuously. Luo Zheng looked in disbelief at the other side; it was Fox Wolf, desperately running the Bullet Avoidance Steps on the rooftops to dodge the incessant gunfire.

"Ah?" Luo Zheng's body shook, and he suddenly realized that Ghost Hand had appeared just in ti and saved him. His spirits instantly lifted, and adrenaline surged through him. The strength he thought he'd lost flooded his body, his eyes ablaze with the fires of war as he let out a ferocious roar, "Ah——!" and raised his gun to chase after Fox Wolf.

"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" Luo Zheng's eyes fixed on Fox Wolf, moving the barrel of the gun in sync with Fox Wolf's running trajectory, charging and firing furiously, his eyes filled with rage. He shouted, "You bastard, thought you could snipe ? See where you run to now, run, keep running, let's see if my bullets are faster or your speed."

"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" The sniper team fired one shot after another, each bullet carrying Luo Zheng's rage and killing intent, chasing after Fox Wolf in a thunderous roar. Ghost Hand, who was also in pursuit, changed color at the sight, forgot to shoot and, in shock, watched Luo Zheng, endowed as though by so deity, unable to comprehend how his gun skills had improved so quickly. His semi-automatic shots mimicked the effect of a machine gun's rapid fire. A glance from the corner of his eye caught sight of many enemies climbing up; he imdiately opened fire to buy Luo Zheng ti to hunt down Fox Wolf, full of anticipation.

After all, this was the Fox Wolf who had been marked by the military, the one who killed several of his comrades, the second in command of the Wild Wolf rcenary Group. If they could take down Fox Wolf, this mission would be considered a massive success. What a relief it would be?

The furious Luo Zheng, with frosty eyes, had only Fox Wolf in sight, and one thought in mind: shoot, keep shooting until the enemy falls. Sniper bullets ejected one after another from the barrel, weaving a net of firepower that ensnared the desperately running Fox Wolf, pinning him to the ground. Several bullets, fueled by rage, tore into Fox Wolf's body, ripping through muscle and bone, pulverizing the organs before exiting out the back.

The distance was too close, there was no cover, no protection. Speed, no matter how fast, is no match for bullets, especially for Luo Zheng, whose gun skills were starting to bloom, turning sniper shots into a hailstorm of gunfire. Fox Wolf fell to the ground, his eyes wide with shock, never expecting to be killed by a junior, and in such a manner. In his round, angry eyes was a mixture of bitterness, bewildernt, and a desperate longing for life. Perhaps thinking of sothing, a savage smile spread across his lips as he lay there, eyes staring blankly at the bright sun and white clouds in the sky.

"Ah——!" Luo Zheng let out a hysterical scream, charging over, his bullets showing no rcy as he continued to shoot Fox Wolf, utterly ignoring that Fox Wolf was already down, lifeless. Not until he was close did a bullet pierce through the center of Fox Wolf's brow, splattering brain and blood. Only then, through his sniper scope sared with blood, did Luo Zheng begin to regain so semblance of reason and calm, his face turning pale as he looked at Fox Wolf, his eyes filled with confusion, surprise, and uncertainty. Had he really just killed the mighty Fox Wolf in a hail of bullets?

"Retreat, quick!" A voice erupted in his earphone. Luo Zheng jerked, his body trembling with a start as he suddenly ca to his senses. This was a battlefield; they were in the midst of combat; there was no room for distraction. Taking a deep breath to force calm upon himself, he saw Ghost Hand sprinting away, drawing the enemy's endless gunfire away from behind him.

Seeing this scene unfold, Luo Zheng imdiately realized that if it weren't for Ghost Hand, he would probably have died several tis over. Quickly, he pulled out the last two grenades on him and hurled them frantically at the enemy. His gun rang out again as he fired while retreating; a large number of enemies had already climbed onto the rooftop and were in hot pursuit. If he didn't run now, death was certain.

The rooftop was no longer safe. Seeing that Ghost Hand had already jumped down into the alley, Luo Zheng followed suit, sprinting westward through the narrow passage. While running, he shouted through the earpiece, "Quick, cover us."

"Understood. Are you okay?" Lan Xue's voice ca through the earpiece.

"For now, yes." Luo Zheng dashed frantically down the alley. As he turned a corner, two people erged no more than five or six ters away, guns raised to block his path. Luo Zheng drew his pistol lightning-quick and fired two shots; the bullets found their targets' foreheads. He didn't spare a glance for the fallen n, confident in his marksmanship at such a close range.

The handgun was one of the best weapons for close-quarters combat. While running, Luo Zheng saw people at several alley entrances raising their guns. He opened fire without hesitation, not slowing his pace as he charged forward. Soon, he burst out of the buildings and saw Ghost Hand taking cover behind a wall and laying down suppressive fire. Luo Zheng felt a surge of warmth and called out, "I'm here, let's retreat."

"You go first," Ghost Hand shouted back, quickly changing his magazine and unleashing a barrage at the approaching enemies. When aiming was not an option, spraying bullets was the best suppression technique. Ghost Hand's combat instincts were exceptionally sharp, and he had a keen sense of where enemies were hiding. The effectiveness of his blind fire was far from poor.

Luo Zheng knew Ghost Hand's speed and didn't waste ti arguing, as it would only delay them. On the battlefield, ti was life. It wasn't a soap opera where heroes argued over who should cover whom, spraying saliva in a show of bravery, only to waste ti and end up in disaster. Without delay, Luo Zheng headed for the dense woods to the west. The faster he retreated, the less ti Ghost Hand had to hold out before he could safely withdraw.

"Faster, even faster," Luo Zheng urged himself as he ran. Like a cheetah, he sprinted and leaped through the underbrush. Shooting a glance backward in the midst of the chaos, he saw Ghost Hand also making his dash, as several desperados storming over the rooftops were picked off by snipers. One of them jumped down and was instantly taken out with a headshot mid-air. Luo Zheng, startled, looked back towards the woods and thought of Lan Xue and the others. His spirit lifted, and he broke into a desperate sprint.

In a life-and-death race, his potential was unleashed. Luo Zheng felt a stabbing pain in his lungs from lack of oxygen, as if they were about to explode. He gasped for air with his mouth wide open, his whole body tensed as he tried to contain his heart that seed ready to leap out of his chest. Bending forward, he nimbly perford the Bullet Avoidance Steps. The sensation of bullets chasing him made his scalp tingle with fear and dread as he retreated under a hail of enemy gunfire. It was truly a matter of life and death.

Fortunately, in the dense forest, Lan Xue led ng Zhu in sniping any targets that appeared, while Mountain Eagle, together with Wu Yuan, provided covering fire from the north. In such desperate tis, nobody could be concerned with anything else. It was a standoff to see who would fall first.
