Soone died, and the surrounding citizens all watched from a distance, not daring to co closer. Ghost Hand's ferocious strike to kill had shocked everyone present. In no ti, many people rushed down from the clubhouse, looking at the body in panic, their glances darting between Ghost Hand and Luo Zheng. Gui Fang approached with a face full of panic and whispered, "Brother, there's been a murder, what do we do?" She was just a young girl who hadn't experienced much of the world and was flustered.

"It's fine, we'll wait for the police," Ghost Hand said unconcernedly, as if it was nothing unusual. To the people of the National Blade Special Team, killing was just like eating a al, sothing they had grown accustod to and numb to. On the battlefield, it's either you kill or I kill you. To survive, one must kill the other.

"Really, it's okay?" Gui Fang asked in a panic, "I'll call Dad."

"No need, this little issue isn't worth the trouble. I can handle it myself. Don't always trouble Dad for nothing. We're grown-ups now, we should take charge of our own matters. You're not a kid either, stop always playing around. I won't always be by your side, you need to learn to take care of yourself," Ghost Hand said with a aningful tone, his face showing an unusual sense of vicissitude.

This tone of voice took Gui Fang by surprise; it was as if she hardly recognized him, but she felt oddly reassured. The quiet and beautiful woman beside her took a few steps forward, looked at Luo Zheng with a grateful face, and said, "Are you okay? Thank you for just now."

"Woo woo woo!" The siren blared loudly, and a police car ca screeching to a halt next to them. Two police officers got out, saw the bleeding corpse on the ground, and their faces changed completely. One imdiately called headquarters, while the other stepped forward and shouted, "Nobody move, who did this?"

"?" Both Ghost Hand and Luo Zheng shouted almost simultaneously. They looked at each other, smiled in comprehension.

"Hands on your head, back against the wall, squat down!" The police officer shouted, panic-stricken, not daring to co closer.

"Okay, throw the handcuffs over here, and we'll put them on ourselves. Don't be nervous, we acted in self-defense. We'll co with you. Oh, and get the surveillance footage right away," Ghost Hand said with a chuckle, his face casual and unconcerned.

"Brother?" Gui Fang called out, worried. She felt like her brother had changed, becoming more confident, stronger, but also more unfamiliar, which was disconcerting.

"Don't worry, your brother will be fine. You need to have confidence in him," Luo Zheng said, comforting her from the side.

Gui Fang's eyes lit up, and she nodded firmly. No matter what he had beco, he was still her brother. She should have the sa confidence in him as she always had, and imdiately said, "Brother, what do you need to do?"

"Find your sister Xue Er, tell her everything that happened here, then don't do anything. If you're bored, prepare so good food; your brother here is severely malnourished," Ghost Hand said with a grin.

Luo Zheng was taken aback, looking at Ghost Hand questioningly. Ghost Hand winked and snickered. Luo Zheng quickly realized that Gui Fang knew Lan Xue and thought that indeed only she could handle this matter, so he said nothing more. Seeing the police officer fumble for handcuffs in a flurry, Luo Zheng briskly walked over, startling the officer into retreating a few steps. Impatient, Luo Zheng swiftly closed the distance, took the handcuffs from the officer, sat down in the back of the car, and called out to Ghost Hand, "Hey, hurry up and get in the car."

The people around were stunned at this scene. What a show of bravado! Everyone looked at Ghost Hand, who slid into the patrol car with a devil-may-care attitude, then poked his head out and urged, "Comrade officer, please, let's go, we're on a tight schedule. If you're worried, just throw the handcuffs over here."

The police officer looked at Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand, still uneasy but threw the handcuffs over nonetheless. These two were odd; they killed soone and didn't run but faced it calmly, bold as brass, sothing to be wary of. Seeing Ghost Hand cuff one end to his wrist and hand the other to Luo Zheng, who also cuffed himself, the officer let out a sigh of relief, got in the car, signaled the other officer to stay and protect the scene, and drove off with the siren wailing.

On the way, the police carefully observed Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand through the rearview mirror. Once they saw both n closing their eyes to rest, they relaxed a bit. After a while, unable to contain their curiosity, they asked, "The two of you are quite in sync, what exactly are your identities?"

"You're better off not knowing," Ghost Hand said with an ambiguous smile.

The police officer was startled and quickly realized that in the capital, where dragons and tigers lurked, one could accidentally offend soone important. Seeing how composed the two n were, clearly fearless, the officer decided not to ask any further questions. Soon, the police car stopped at the station, and the officer gestured for the two to get out and head toward the station, entering the interrogation room.

"I don't care what your identities are, just sit here for a while, and wait for the superiors to deal with this," the police officer said cautiously. He didn't proceed to interrogate them or use any tactics but simply tossed over two bottles of mineral water.

"Wait a minute, shouldn't you arrange for him to have surgery first to remove the bullet? It'll be troubleso if it's too late. You can't bear that responsibility, and neither can your chief, understand?" Ghost Hand said seriously.

"Just a mont, I'll imdiately ask for instructions," the police officer replied, his belief in his own judgnt strengthened by the n's composure, and hurried to inform his superiors of the situation.

Before long, the police officer returned with a middle-aged man who claid to be the chief. He asked the two n for their identities with a cautious expression. Seeing Luo Zheng, who had beco increasingly weak from his studies abroad, getting impatient, Ghost Hand barked, "You're not qualified to know. Arrange for him to be taken to the hospital quickly."

The chief's face tensed, and he said sowhat angrily, "Before we understand your identities, we must follow the rules."

"What a big show of authority. Do your rules specify that suspects cannot receive dical treatnt?" an imposing voice ca from outside. Shortly after, a middle-aged police officer walked in with the rank of police inspector on his shoulder. The chief recognized him as his superior's superior and his expression turned bitter. He quickly saluted.

"Enough. Arrange for hospital transfer imdiately. You don't need to handle this anymore; the city bureau will take over."

"Yes." The chief realized that Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand were people with significant influence and not to be offended. Frightened, he barely dared to breathe, cautiously glancing at Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand, fearing they might take the opportunity to complain.

Luo Zheng was not the least bit concerned about the chief; his gaze was entirely fixed on Lan Xue, who stood behind the police inspector. She was dressed in plain clothes, having gone through a dramatic change, lacking the dashing and heroic charisma, but inexplicably she had gained a natural elegance. However, her expression was as deep and still as water, and the look she directed at the chief turned hostile.

The chief felt his scalp tingle, noticing Lan Xue's hostile gaze, but he dared not offend the person who had arrived with the police inspector. He wondered which high deity this could be and hurried to arrange transportation. Lan Xue stepped forward, glaring at Ghost Hand with displeasure, and said, "Can't you two keep it down?"

"I wish I could," Ghost Hand responded with a bitter smile, looking toward Luo Zheng.

"Find out the assassin's identity as fast as possible; he might have co for ," Luo Zheng whispered into Lan Xue's ear.

"What?" Lan Xue exclaid in shock, her face turning ice-cold, her eyes filled with terrifying sharpness.
