"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" Suddenly, countless grenades were thrown from the surrounding alleys, hurtling towards Luo Zheng's position. Luo Zheng was shocked and sprinted towards the direction of the incoming grenades, quickly jumping off the rooftop and diving behind a wall that had just collapsed, imdiately followed by the sound of nurous grenade explosions behind him.
"Boom boom boom!" The grenades let out a despairing scream. Luo Zheng felt the building behind him collapse, shrapnel flying everywhere. If he hadn't decisively jumped down, he would have been certain to die. Suddenly, Luo Zheng noticed several shadows rushing over from both sides, and gunfire erupted. He was terrified and desperately hugged his head, lying prone on the ground, not daring to move.
The attack ca so suddenly that there was no chance to fight back. Had it not been for the cover of the collapsed walls and ruins, he would have been shot to pieces right away. The situation beca imdiately dire. Luo Zheng heard bullets all around him, raining down like a storm; his heart tightened as he saw the grenades in his hand. He quickly pulled the pins, estimated the enemy's position, and hurriedly threw them.
"Boom!" The grenade traced an arc and hit the ground, emitting a deafening explosion. Luo Zheng didn't dare to pause, and without even ti to shift his body, he quickly pulled the pin on another grenade and forcefully threw it in another direction, followed by a second and a third one.
The explosions of the grenades temporarily halted the enemy's advance, but Luo Zheng knew his life hung by a thread. After quickly throwing his last grenade, he grabbed his gun. He didn't dare raise his head to avoid exposing himself, slightly lifted the muzzle, and pulled the trigger with all his might. Bang bang bang! The bullets whistled away, carrying Luo Zheng's anxious feelings.
"Dada dada!" The enemy's counterattack ca fierce again. Without the grenades to stop them, the enemy attacked without hesitation. Dense bullets hit around Luo Zheng's head, rocking the ruins on the verge of collapse and leaving bullet holes everywhere. Stray bullets flew chaotically, and many hit Luo Zheng's body. If not for his specially made bullet-resistant vest, he would have been dead.
The kinetic energy of the stray bullets was strong; the pain made Luo Zheng twitch. His face instantly turned pale. The feeling of being on the brink of death was maddening. The barrel of Luo Zheng's Type 95 assault rifle was hit by dense bullets and could no longer be used. The storm of bullets continued its relentless barrage.
Luo Zheng had imagined many ways to die but never thought he would fall to random gunfire. He lay tightly on the ground, his hands over his head. The assault rifle was now useless, the sniper rifle was of little significance, and the grenades were spent. Under the storm-like firepower, there was no chance for retaliation.
Suddenly, Luo Zheng rembered he still had a pistol. He quickly drew it, and as he turned to pull the gun, he saw soone rushing him from the alley behind. Luo Zheng fired rapidly. Bang bang bang! Three bullets flew in a '品' formation, instantly claiming the aggressor's life.
In that mont, Luo Zheng felt the enemy was just two or three ters away. The relentless firepower continued to suppress him from the front. If not for the collapsed wall blocking the enemy's sight, his head would have blown off long ago. However, death was drawing near. Luo Zheng desperately wanted to surge forward and engage the enemy in close combat. But under the dense gunfire, he didn't dare raise his head too high for fear of exposure and had no chance to rise.
The enemy was getting closer and closer. In this mont of life and death, what should he do? Luo Zheng was anxiously burning up inside, his eyes filled with unwillingness and anger. Clutching the gun, his forearm's veins bulged like a raging dragon, covered in sweat and mud. On the brink of death, Luo Zheng went all out. With all his strength, he pushed against the ground. If he was to die, he would die fighting!
"Pop, pop, pop!" Suddenly, several fiery dragons roared from the rooftops around, as furious bullets swept across the area. Luo Zheng was shocked, and concerned inquiries from Lan Xue and others ca through the earpiece. Realizing that everyone had co to rescue him, he was overjoyed. With a new burst of energy, he got up from the ground and charged towards the side, with his pistol roaring angrily.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Luo Zheng, having narrowly escaped death, was filled with rage and hatred. He charged forward like a ferocious tiger descending from the mountains, shooting continuously without hesitation, harvesting visible enemies with headshots. Lan Xue and the others were startled by Luo Zheng's desperate charge. They jumped down from the rooftops and followed, killing in his wake.
"Pop, pop, pop!" The Wolf King's n were no pushovers; they mounted a fierce counterattack. Seeing Luo Zheng's reckless and desperate deanor, his eyes blood-red and nearly spouting fire, a terrifying battle intent erupted from him, which gave his opponents a fright. Annoyed, they fought back with rage.
"Pop!" A bullet struck Luo Zheng's helt, skimming over its edge. Luo Zheng felt a buzzing impact on his head, which instantly cleared his mind. He ducked into an alley nearby, silently thanking his luck. He had been pinned down and firing under duress, which had made him lose control of his emotions. Fortunately, he wasn't killed. Seeing Lan Xue and the others suppressing enemy fire from behind, his spirits soared, and he continued to fire targeted shots.
"Snow Leopard, Ghost Hand, go up to the rooftop for a flanking attack, Mountain Eagle, cover the rear," Lan Xue ordered coldly. Luo Zheng's near-death experience had filled her with rage, and she was ready to take risks. Her icy gaze was chilling as she fired her silent pistol continuously, suppressing the enemy's visible firing points.
Snow Leopard and Ghost Hand quickly climbed to the rooftop. To their shock, they spotted several people already there. Ghost Hand rolled to dodge the incoming bullets and began to make his silent pistol count. "Pop, pop, pop," he fired a series of bursts, hitting one person who fell limp from the rooftop.
As the body hit the ground, a grenade was thrown down. Ghost Hand was terrified but managed a kick, sending the grenade away like kicking a soccer ball. It landed right in an alleyway where three of the Wolf King's n were ambushed and exchanging fire with Luo Zheng. The grenade exploded with a bang, sending shrapnel flying and instantly killing the three n.
After the explosion, Luo Zheng charged forward like a leopard, double-tapping the three corpses on the ground just in case. He ran out of bullets for his pistol, so he picked up an M4 automatic rifle, checked the magazine, took three magazines from the corpses, and strapped them to himself. Then, he picked up another M4 automatic rifle, and with both guns blazing, he advanced, firing ahead.
"Be careful," Lan Xue exclaid, alard by Luo Zheng's death-defying tactics. She hurriedly called out and followed him, with her Type 95 assault rifle roaring, providing covering fire for Luo Zheng.
When encountering enemies in a narrow path, the braver ones prevail. The Wolf King's n upfront, seeing Luo Zheng's desperate fighting style, lost much of their courage. By then, Ghost Hand had climbed to the rooftop again and began to charge and shoot fiercely at the enemies there, dodging the hail of bullets with movents as agile as a civet.
Running, shooting, rolling, turning back—his actions flowed smoothly as he entered an ethereal state of combat, relying solely on instinct to shoot. Ghost Hand couldn't believe he had reached such a sniper's combat state. In this mode, he felt invincible, without any hesitation, simply pulling the trigger repeatedly, executing headshots on visible enemies while in motion.
