Luo Zheng saw this clueless fool swaggering around and was furious, his face turning an iron blue as he watched the blonde-haired man. As he got closer, he kicked forcefully at the man's lower leg. The blonde-haired man lost his balance and toppled over onto a table. Luo Zheng grabbed the man's blonde hair, lifted him, and then slamd his head down onto the table with great force, producing a dull thud as the table collapsed and blood started to flow from the blonde-haired man's forehead.
"Dare to covet my woman, you're looking for death." Luo Zheng clutched the man's hair and lifted, kicking him hard. The blonde-haired man didn't even manage to utter a word before his body flew backwards two or three ters, crashing into two tables. The surrounding diners panicked, all rising and scattering rapidly.
"You bastards, brothers, beat him, death is on !" the blonde-haired man roared furiously, having turned vicious, his eyes flashing fiercely. He was in too much pain to stand, and his glares at Luo Zheng were filled with venom.
Hearing the order, the other thugs around grabbed chairs and started smashing them towards Luo Zheng's head with swift and well-practiced moves. Luo Zheng slightly closed his eyes, a trace of cold light flickering in them. As a chair hurtled towards him, he remained unmoved and threw a direct kick.
"Thud!" The sound of the shoe hitting a body echoed, followed by a pained scream. The man's body was flung four or five ters back, crashing heavily to the ground, unable to rise, breathing out more than he could breathe in.
Three thugs smashed their chairs hard towards Luo Zheng, who squatted down and, swinging his fists left and right, landed heavy punches on the two next to him, sending them flying. Leaning forward, the powerful force of his shoulder struck the chest of the man directly in front of him, sending him flying four or five ters back, where he landed motionless on the ground.
"Seeking death." After disposing of them, Luo Zheng didn't stop. He took a few steps forward and began fiercely punching and kicking the remaining thugs, knocking down each one in succession. Soon, all were rolling on the ground, groaning in pain.
Lan Xue watched Luo Zheng display his prowess with a joyful expression, enjoying the feeling of being protected and couldn't help but cheer. As for the dire consequences these thugs faced, Lan Xue didn't care at all, nor did Luo Zheng. He walked over to the blonde-haired man, squatted down, and coldly said, "Look at the ss you've made here, disrupting my al. Tell , how will you compensate?"
"Do you even know who I am? Just you wait, don't you leave if you're brave enough," the blonde-haired man bellowed defiantly, his face pale and his words bold, but his eyes betrayed a flicker of panic.
"Is that so?" Luo Zheng pressed his foot onto the blonde-haired man's hand on the floor, applying pressure and twisting his foot harshly. The pain was so extre that the blonde-haired man believed his hand was shattering, and he scread out in agony, his forehead drenched with cold sweat. Luo Zheng remained unmoved, crouching closer and putting his full body weight on his foot over the man's hand, coldly asking, "And now?"
"Kid, you've got guts, fine, let's settle this, I yield," the blonde-haired man no longer dared to act tough, conceding defeat pragmatically.
"Compensation," Luo Zheng stated coldly. "Otherwise, I wouldn't mind feeding you through a tube in your next life."
"Damn it, fine, I have twenty thousand in my pocket, take it," the blonde-haired man yelled in panic, completely subdued by Luo Zheng's unscrupulous thods and formidable strength, knowing he had t a formidable opponent.
Luo Zheng searched his pocket and took twenty thousand, then kicked the man into unconsciousness. He approached the shop owner and shouted, "Owner, check, please." Seeing the owner's anxious expression, Luo Zheng sighed quietly to himself, tossed the twenty thousand cash into the cash register without counting, and turned to leave, saying, "Keep the change."
Lan Xue acutely noticed this detail and gained a more comprehensive understanding of Luo Zheng's character, knowing that she had entrusted her heart to the right person. Her heart brimd with joy—a man who knows how to care for strangers would surely be even better to his own family, wouldn't he? She approached and walked out of the alley with Luo Zheng.
"Glad we've eaten—let's head back to the hotel," Luo Zheng laughed.
"It's still early, take to watch a movie," Lan Xue smiled, her face radiating the bliss of a woman in love, as she hooked her arm through Luo Zheng's and continued, "I've never watched a movie alone with a gentleman before, so I'm giving you this chance. You're not allowed to refuse."
"It would be my honor," Luo Zheng laughed. The two ran off to a movie, then found a place to drink tea and chat until late at night before returning to the hotel, each retiring to their own room for rest.
The next morning, Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle t Luo Zheng and planned a shopping trip. Luo Zheng spent the day shopping with Lan Xue, tired out and unwilling to move any further, he invited the three to head ho. They all readily agreed, seeing that Luo Zheng really didn't want to go, and thought he might have other plans so they didn't push it and went on their own.
Luo Zheng lay on his bed watching TV, feeling very comfortable. Before long, soone knocked on the door. Opening it, he saw Wu Miao and asked in surprise, "Didn't you just have a checkup?"
"Can't I co and talk about sothing other than dical checkups?" Wu Miao asked grumpily.
Luo Zheng looked at Wu Miao in surprise. Dressed in a blue dress which perfectly showcased her fiery figure, she resembled an elegant lily—subtle, fragrant, tranquil as water, truly one of the base's three great beauties known for her stunning appearance. Luo Zheng reined in his thoughts and countered, "What is it?"
"Aren't you going to invite in to sit for a while?" Wu Miao smiled playfully, returning his question. Seeing the dazed expression on Luo Zheng's face earlier, she smiled triumphantly to herself but felt a pang of jealousy thinking that Luo Zheng was completely focused on Lan Xue, "What, are you planning to block the door?"
"Oh, I'm quite tired, if it's nothing urgent, let's talk another ti." Feeling that Wu Miao had so ulterior motives that might be harmful to him, Luo Zheng promptly declined and swiftly closed the door.
"Jerk, you wait; next ti I give you an injection, I'll make it hurt," Wu Miao cursed under her breath, clenched her teeth in anger, stomped her foot, and turned away, leaving behind a blue silhouette lonely as a mystic lily atop a flow of ruthless waters, desolate, isolated, and lancholic.
Luo Zheng didn't think much of it and slept soundly in his room. Over the next few days, Luo Zheng stayed in the hotel to rest. Lan Xue occasionally ca by to invite him for shopping, which Luo Zheng of course wouldn't refuse. Ti slipped away unnoticed, and a week passed by. The checkup was over, and everyone was finally free.
On a sunny morning, everyone gathered at the hotel. Lan Xue, Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle tactfully did not invite Wu Miao and even refrained from discussing going to Luo Zheng's house. Luo Zheng felt awkward about inviting soone he wasn't very familiar with to his ho and didn't ntion it. Everyone arrived at the hotel parking lot and got into two SUVs.
Luo Zheng, Lan Xue, and Ghost Hand shared one car, driven by Ghost Hand. Both vehicles swiftly left the parking lot, and no one noticed a blue figure chasing after them to the hotel entrance, staring blankly at the departing SUVs, her expression bitter, eyes reddening, tears rolling down silently, wordlessly.
