"We must keep this quiet; no one can talk about it. Brother, imdiately notify trusted people to deal with the explosives. As for that person, take him for interrogation and just say he died of a heart attack." Luo Zheng imdiately suggested, his glance shifting towards the first floor, his expression growing cold and harsh, his eyes filled with murderous intent and full of hatred for the Japanese invaders.

"Okay, I'll handle it," Snow Leopard agreed, and hurriedly ran to the basent to inform Lan Xue of the situation. Lan Xue breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing about the bomb, told Snow Leopard to guard the basent, and went to the residential area for the staff while making phone calls to arrange for assistance. Soon, she saw Luo Zheng.

Relieved to see Lan Xue, Luo Zheng knew only a team lead had the authority to coordinate with other departnts. As Lan Xue approached, she glanced at the box of explosives and reassessed the situation, inwardly thankful. The simultaneous explosion of more than two hundred kilograms of yellow gunpowder would be astonishingly powerful; just the thought made her scalp tingle. She looked at Zheng Duo and sternly reminded him, "Captain Zheng, rember to keep this secret."

"Don't worry, I know what to do. I've already been briefed by this comrade," Zheng Duo hurriedly replied. Discovering so much explosive material was a shocking case, the first in the history of the Military Research Institute. As the captain, he felt he had severely failed in his duties, and at this thought, Zheng Duo bowed his head in guilt.

After a while, several cars ca roaring up and stopped nearby. A team of n in black suits with crew cuts disembarked, each of their eyes shining with alertness, obviously not ordinary people. The leader approached Lan Xue, saluted, and didn't say another word.

Lan Xue, with her face expressing official business, whispered, "There are two hundred kilograms of yellow gunpowder bombs below. Please remove them quickly, fill the tunnels back in, and don't leave any trace. Take the person inside for interrogation and notify us imdiately if there's any news."

The others agreed and quickly set to work. So plunged into the tunnels, others rushed into the rooms to take away the unconscious person, their movents swift. Luo Zheng, looking puzzledly at Lan Xue, saw her signaling him to co aside. She spoke quietly, "Those are from the Intelligence Team. You and Zheng Duo head to the surveillance room. Once the explosives are cleared, we won't need to worry, and we can properly confront those bastards."

"Good, those Japanese bastards are indeed vicious and will resort to anything. Who knows what they'll try next? Be careful," Luo Zheng agreed, his expression serious as he gestured to Zheng Duo, and they both walked towards the office building. Along the way, Zheng Duo was full of curiosity, but refrained from asking, feeling a thrill of anticipation. He couldn't help saying, "Brother, this is a big case. It's unprecedented at the Military Research Institute. No one would believe it if we told them."

"Better not to let it out, or it will complicate matters. The enemy is desperate, and without the explosives, they will use other ans. We can't predict what will happen next. We must keep this secret, to make the enemy believe the explosives are still here. That's how we stay safe. After we go back, absolutely no word of this can be spoken, not to anyone, understand?" Luo Zheng emphasized.

"Rest assured, I understand," Zheng Duo promised promptly.

Luo Zheng could see that Zheng Duo was capable and had responded well in the crisis. His record showed that he was principled and had not made a mistake in over a decade on the job; Luo Zheng decided he was worthy of so trust. He smiled and reassured, "Of course, you don't need to worry; we're here to handle it."

"You guys are indeed amazing. You've foiled two assassination attempts in one day. Whether it was the mineral water or the explosives, either one could cause widespread harm. Part of this is my failure in duty. Rest assured, I will sound the alarm to everyone in a while so that they won't be caught off guard and die without knowing why," Zheng Duo said with a relieved expression.

"Don't. A simple reminder is enough. Talking too much could backfire. If the word gets out and reaches the wrong ears, it could spook the enemy. Besides, can you guarantee there are no enemy moles in the Guard?" Luo Zheng asked seriously.

Zheng Duo was shocked and wanted to defend his n, but he couldn't find a reason to. Whether it was the mineral water incident or the explosives, none were simple feats, yet soone had carried them out without a trace. Who could guarantee there wasn't a mole?

Returning to the office building, the installation and calibration of the surveillance equipnt were almost complete. Luo Zheng checked each one to ensure nothing had been missed or was malfunctioning, and then he relaxed, sitting in the command chair in the surveillance room. While resting, he kept an eye on the screens, switching between surveillance points and planning to have the Infrared Detectors and Motion Sensors installed the next morning to seal all vulnerabilities completely.

"Do you guys have Motion Sensors and Infrared Detectors?" Luo Zheng asked.

"Uh? No," Zheng Duo replied truthfully.

Luo Zheng wasted no more words and picked up the internal phone on the desk to call the basent eting room. Soon, soone picked up—it was Ghost Hand. Luo Zheng said, "Brother, get so Motion Sensors and Infrared Detectors over here. If possible, bring the ground radar as well."

"Little bro, we're not at the base; those things can only be obtained by a team lead." Ghost Hand replied with a wry smile.

Luo Zheng acknowledged and called Lan Xue. After listening to her for a while, she agreed. After hanging up, Luo Zheng turned to one of the screens and urgently asked, "Captain Zheng, co look at this. What's going on here?"

"Uh?" Looking at the screen, Zheng Duo was full of confusion. The screen showed the real-ti surveillance of the fire escape in the office building—no one was there, and the stairwell was tranquil as ever. He saw nothing amiss and turned to Luo Zheng in surprise, "What's the matter?"

"Look at this step, there's a piece of paper on it. I rember the paper should be on the edge of the step above," Luo Zheng pointed out the fire stairs on the screen, his expression growing serious. He quickly grabbed his weapon, chambered a round, put on his headset, and commanded in a low, cold voice, "I don't know if the enemy went up or down. I'll check it out. Imdiately inform my people, but don't alarm yours."

"Understood. Do you really not need any help?" Zheng Duo was impressed by Luo Zheng's sharp observation skills, and with a grave expression, he agreed. Seeing Luo Zheng already sprinting out, he stood up to see him off and locked the security door behind him to prevent a sneak attack. Quickly, he picked up the internal phone to inform the basent of the situation, his eyes glued to the screen, rapidly operating the keyboard in search of the enemy, but to no avail.

"Hiss? Not a single trace was found." Zheng Duo was astonished, unable to comprehend how the intruder had slipped in. The Military Research Institute was guarded by multiple defense lines, yet none had detected the intruder. The capabilities of the intruder were terrifying. Nervously, he braced himself.
